Patrick was great. My two 100 lb. dogs were scared at first but Patrick handled my neurotic girl dog quite well. In less than 2 hours they were bathed and trimmed a bit. They smell clean and are happy to be out of the van but they made it through! And these dogs hate baths. If you don't like to take your dog to a groomer and you want to give the mobile service a try DO IT. He had hard work ahead of him with my skittish husky/golden dog that is scared of bees. It is just who she is and she will always do the submissive "I am not moving for you" lay down type of dog. And my big Akita/lab who goes with the flow (pretty much) did great. Excellent/prompt/professional/GO! My only suggestion would be to get one of those rubber pad things for the floor that they use in restaurants so it isn't slippery for the puppy pads. I am forced to give one star, otherwise I wouldn't even do that. The groomer, Patrick, ground two of her nails too close AND cut off a chunk of my 18 year-old girl's EAR! To make matters worse, he didn't even tell me when he brought her to the door. He apparently tried to use some coagulating powder to stop the bleeding, which lasted until he drove off. Then she started bleeding everywhere. For that, I paid $144 and she looks like she was groomed with a weed eater. I have been using Zoe and Friends since 2019, but never again. read more

My mom used them for second time, the first time was really good. I believed they over charged her the second time. There was a 50 dollar difference between the two visits. Also they already add a 10 dollar tip to your bill before service. Also no receipt to tell you what they did to your dog or charging you. read more

We have a 12 year old King Charles who was diagnosed with cancer 10 months ago, so he's pretty frail looking, and hadn't had a groom in a long time due to not being able to find a groomer that we liked, so his hair was pretty matted on his chest (Even though we do brush him from time to time). When you have a bad egg like I do, a bad egg with skin problems that needs to be shaved and groomed, Zoe is very convenient. My bad egg is a sweet boy....with people, but just tends to eat any other dogs, cats, squirrels, zebras etc so taking him out in public can be a nerve wracking problem. Even with the Hannibal Lector muzzle on. So, Zoe is a great solution. They come to the house (even on the weekends), take him to their van for about an hour and bring him back all shaved and adorable, and much easier to treat that damn skin rash. We liked them so much we also had them out to shave down my wooly mammoth golden. Normally when I take him to the groomer, its a 4-5 hour job. Now I kinda figure that's because that one groomer is working on several "clients", but with Zoe, your dog gets all the attention and even my 90 lb fuzzbucket is done in about 1- 1 1/2 hours. This also means little to no cage time which we like. And the price is comparable to taking them to a groomer, maybe $10 more, but that's an easy convenience fee. My only complaint so far is they were 30 minutes late to the house last time which kinda sucks cause you already are kinda tied to the house while they have your dog, but for me, on a Saturday afternoon, that just means I get more chores and laundry done (or, drink a large cup of chai and watch LOTR AGAIN, for example). I do like that we have a texting relationship so I can just go "Where u at?" and get the reply "OMW" and know all is well. As long as we live up north, and have a hot mess of a mutt, I'll be using Zoe and Friends. read more

If I could rate lower I would. Completely unprofessional and rude. I was rescheduled 13 TIMES at random times that only suited them. They gave me attitude because they don't seem to understand people have a life. I was incredibly patient and overly understanding because I know things happen and sometimes multiple things in a week can even happen but the response I was given when I just couldn't put up with it anymore was ridiculous. I know dealing with customers can have its moments (I did it for 11 years) but I legitimately gave y'all 13 chances. I was NEVER told I was outside of a service area and was originally approached by one of YOUR employees saying they would gladly groom our dogs at our house. It greatly depends on who shows up. Patrick was amazing: he got ALL the undercoat off my siberian husky. Our pup didn't shed for a month - yay! Totally worth it and recommend this service IF you can request Patrick. However. The woman who showed up today (and didn't give her name even though I introduced myself) left my dog still a little wet and completely unbrushed. I was VERY clear that I wanted his undercoat removed. He's still shedding everywhere; if you didn't know he'd just had a bath, you would never guess it. I'm doubly grumpy about this because now I have to take time out of my day to ask them to come back; wait around a second time while they groom him again, and hope that next time is better. On my birthday they came out and did an excellent job. I was really impressed. The following Monday I made an appointment for 5 weeks later. They just didn't show up. When they were 30 minutes late I called to find out why. Patrick pretended I hadn't made an appointment for Friday, but had made one for Saturday instead. I didn't. He says he'll try to get the groomer out to my place in the morning, which I appreciated. I was willing to work with them a lot on the schedule, but I have an appointment at 5:45 and no leeway on that one, because I keep my appointments. Patrick then called me back and says a groomer can come out by five and they'll probably still be grooming my service dog when I get back from my 5:45 appointment. Replace the word dog with the word wheelchair to understand the depth of how inappropriate it was for Patrick to ask me to leave my assistive device behind while I went and did all the things in the world that I do with my dog. As though I could go to my appointment without my dog. As though that's even an OK thing to ask a disabled person to do. I'm very disappointed, because Emily is a fantastic Groomer and I would love to see her again, but I can't be treated this way. It's dismissive, rude, and totally unprofessional. read more

I got my dog groomed on the 8th by Kelsey. Can't say I am very pleased. First, my actual apt on the 7th got cancelled at the last min when I got a call saying there was an equipment failure. I did get a next day apt with a different groomer. She did an okay job but I felt fleeced of the money. I pay $78 at a big box place. She charged me $125 saying my dog was matted which she wasn't to warrant $15. Then a $10 trip fee and I am not sure what else to add to that. Her nails were supposed to have been cut and buffed and paw balm oil applied but they seem to just have been cut, none of the other things. Her fanny hair were supposed to have been cut by scissors but I see a big shave by her tail and my dog is acting traumatized which she does when shaved around her butt. I will try a different mobile grooming company in the future. read more

We have a standard poodle that is about 50 lbs that had beautiful chocolate curls. I thought that I had explained how I wanted her cut, just trimmed down and to have her look less shaggy (she was over due for a cut by a few weeks). Even though he did spend 2 hours grooming her and was very polite, I was so surprised to see that she was completely shaved down, almost to her skin! It was shocking! After further examination, we found many areas that were very uneven. I am giving them a low rating because I really don't think they understand how a poodle should be groomed for a "puppy cut", which is what I asked for, and I don't want another person to go through what we did! They may however be great at grooming other types of dogs but poodles are not their forte! I just pray that her gorgeous locks will grow back the same.. and quickly! She looks more like a greyhound than a poodle! read more

We had them out yesterday to groom, brush, and nail clip our two huskies. The man and woman who came were very professional and kind towards our dogs. They did them both at once and it took about an hour and a half. I waited until today to write the review because when they were finished yesterday they were still damp, so it was hard to really see the job they did. The nails are good but a little long still. The brushing job wasnt bad, but we didn't realize they don't use ferminators. Personally we like the ferminator job better because it gets more of their hair off. Huskies shed constantly so that's a pretty big issue for us. Normally we take them to be groomed at Pet-smart. In terms on convienance mobile grooming is definitely easier. However, you also pay for that. I wouldn't say this company is unreasonably priced since you are paying for their materials and them to come to you, but it's a good amount of money. We would use them again, it just might not be our go to choice. read more

This place is terrible. They had decent reviews so I gave them a shot since it seemed convenient for someone to come to my house and groom my dog since I work nights. I scheduled them to show up at 8am. If you're late you've already lost my business in my book. 8:45 they come rolling up like nothing happened. I'm even more confused now because the van that shows up to groom my dog has the name of some other groomer on it and has some phone number with a Connecticut zip code. Anywho, I tell them just to give my dog a simple shave and keep his hair on his head the same length. An hour later my dog comes strolling back into the house looking like a clown. The groomer says "I decided to give him a mohawk, hope that's ok". No, it's not ok. When did you ever hear me say to give him a mohawk? I go to pay and the groomer says she doesn't know how to use their card machine. Good grief. For the next two weeks, I call the main number trying to find someone who can take my credit card payment. I finally get a call back today from a guy. He says "Uh, yeah I'm supposed to take a payment from you but I don't know how much you owe." Strike seven. You're out. This business is a mess. This will be the first and last time we use them. Their customer service is some of the worse I've seen. read more

I want to thank Wendy, and the staff at Zoe & Friends, for the amazing job they did with my Sam. She was so happy when she came in. Wendy did an outstanding job considering my little one had mats around her eyes because of medications, dry eye, allergies and just getting over an eye infection. I had not seen her this happy after a groomer since I had to stop taking her to the one down south. I was always dreading getting her groomed because she would shake and be miserable for a while after but not today. Today she jumped up on the bed and curled up to take a nap. In the beginning, everything was perfect. They arrived exactly when they said they would, took exceptional care of our dog and made him look wonderful. As time progressed and we used them again, they would arrive later and later until this most recent appointment when they didn't show at all. The last time they were almost an hour late and i was chastised for not understanding that other appointments sometimes run long and I should be more patient. So today I waited for an hour after my appointed time passed before reaching out to see if we would still be seen, 30 minutes have elapsed with no response from them. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect appointments to be kept and to be given the courtesy of a reply when an appointment is missed. Were they in a shop and i did this to them, they would feel justified charging me a fee for doing exactly the same thing. read more

Our dog groomer recently closed her shop and went to work with Zoe and Friends. When our poodles needed grooming, during the pandemic, we were very nervous about how mobile grooming would work. Zoe and Friends came to our home and met us, and our dogs, outside, with the groomer and us wearing masks, and groomed the dogs in her van right across the street from our home. She texted us when she was done so that we could meet her outside again to retrieve the pups. She did an excellent job and the dogs were calm and happy afterward - and no health problems. I love ZOE & FRIENDS - especially Emily! Emily has been grooming both my Labradoodle and my Peite Goldendoodle for over a year and she is the only groomer who really gets how to groom them so they don't look like poodles! She is always on time, does a fantastic job and truely likes my dogs. Next to Emily, the best part about Zoe and Friends is that they will come to your house seven days of the week. My 85 lb Labradoodle has MAJOR car riding anxiety and not having to put him through another traumatic car ride is wonderful. Its 9:45am on Sunday and Zoe and Friends were able to squeeze me I for a last minute appointment before the dogs and I left town. Emily doesn't work on Sunday but the lovely girl who came to groom my Goldendoodle had already spoken with Emily and knew exactly what do do with him. Very impressive! Zoe & Friends is one of the few mobile dog groomers in the area that will take a larger dog (65 lbs). My dog has a lot of hair and he did a good job dealing with all of it! I would say you need to be very clear about what type of cut and how much to cut off, but if you are clear about what you want, he will deliver it! Not happy with Zoe or her friends! Had an appointment Monday and had to reschedule for Wednesday because A/C in truck went out. Unfortunately because reschedule was necessary I was not able to be home during new appointment but I was very specific with what we wanted and didn't want with our small Maltese rescue. Was told that price was locked in because we were first time customers. Was terribly surprised when I arrived home to see my Maltese shaved when I was very clear that we did NOT want her shaved. Was also surprised when I found out there excuse was that she was to matted therefore there was an additional $10 fee because she was too much to groom for one person. OK, I will give them the benefit if the doubt! Called to communicate my dissatisfaction and was told it was my fault for not being there during her grooming. I am sorry but this is unacceptable. I was very clear when I called that I did not want my dog shaved. The fact that you ignored those instructions and didn't think to call me personally before changing my order and then up charge me is bad business! As a business, you had an opportunity to retain me as a possible future customer if you would have simply apologized or acknowledged your mess up! As I mentioned on the phone I will never be doing business with you again and I will make sure the 2000 homes within my subdivision know about the great work and service you gave me! read more
