And boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy was it gooooddd!!! The fish was so seasoned and the sauce was so creamy! As you can see in the picture, I had already dug in but the filet was huge!! That hand grenade was very STRONG neither one of us finished it. It definitely will get you tipsy and/or drunk!!! The atmosphere was very pleasant! They had early 2000s music playing softly but loud enough that you can hear the words! 10/10 this was not my first visit here and won't be my last!

It never misses and is always made to perfection. Because it was lunch they didn't have the pasta so I chose the Friday special, catfish and spaghetti. It came with cornbread and a side. I got Lima beans. Drooling good.... My husband got fried chicken livers and rice with turkey gravy. My Mom built a blue plate special with catfish, sweet potatoes and greens. As usual, we did taste tests from all the plates and it was good eating! Our server was attentive and had a great sense of humor. The atmosphere is much different during lunch than it is on the evening. Lunch is very casual. Dinner is more about full dinners and live bands. The atmosphere is more of a date night type of vibe. There is a dress code for evening so be sure to check before you go. You will have a good time and a full belly every time you go!!

Rustic little spot near the corner of West and George St. I always thought it was strictly a bar, which probably accounts for me never eating here before. Only one guy worked the dining room but he did a good job for the most part. I ordered the Old Tavern Burger with the house cut fries. I asked if they really were house cut and he told me they cut them when ordered. My food didn't take long to come out and everything was piping hot. When I saw the shine on that bun and felt how soft it was, I knew I was in for a treat. This was one of the best burgers I've tasted. The patty was fresh and well seasoned and not dry at all. The fries made me super happy, as they were not only fresh cut but seasoned as well. While I was eating, two guys from the kitchen came out to check on everyone to ensure everyone was enjoying their food. My first visit won't be my last!
