Soup and soup selection was really good. 4 cheese sandwich was very underwhelming and definitely not worth the price. Wait time was way too long for pre-made soup and a microwave sandwich. Had dinner here recently and liked the lobster bisque and sandwich I ordered. Not sure why counter help had to tell me they had 100+ soups when they only had about 6 available (and 2 were empty). A great roll came with my meal and the staff was engaging but I prefer restaurants where they serve you at table rather than counter service. I guess I am spoiled! read more

Would you ever pay $8+ for a can of soup? If you answered yes then head on over to Zoup! or skip it and save yourself the cash. I tried the lobster bisque which is supposed to be the best around...far from it! The soup hardly had any lobster and the little lobster in it was clearly from a can and tasted nothing like fresh cracked lobster. My fiancé' got chicken potpie and that tasted like someone went in back and emptied a can of Progresso into her bread bowl. I'd say skip it and stay home, the place is so small you'll have more room on your couch! read more

Tried Zoup for the first time and the ladies were really polite and helpful. I lived the fact that you can sample any and all of the soups. I ended up getting the chicken pot pie soup and it was amazing! Definitely a nice place to get lunch. read more

Short and sweet. Great customer service and the food is very yummy. They also have a punch card so you can get a free meal after so many visits. Also the free samples is great so you never get anything you don't like! Prices are decent. I just got back from Zoup on Grape Road; I went on my lunch break with a friend. It was GREAT! We tried several soups before ordering (you can try as many as you want!). Our food was prepared within minutes...unfortunately, our salads had gorgonzola cheese all over it. (It was completely our fault for not noticing the ingredient listed on their menu.) I reluctantly went up to the counter to ask for a different salad and the workers didn't bat an eye. They were so friendly/helpful and our new salads were at our table within minutes. The soups and salads are amazing and don't even get me started on their chocolate chip cookies. Seriously. Buy one! (or three!) I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. I went to Zoup for dinner on Wednesday at 6pm, typical dinner time. I sampled several soups before making my final choice. I was so lookin forward to my soup in a "bread boule," especially after seeing the posters and sign behind the counter. I was told that all the bread boules were out. Then, when I tried to order lobster bisque, I was told there would be a 25 min wait. What made this worse was after ordering my second choice soup and finally receiving my order, I over heard the manager telling another customer that the lobster bisque would be ready in 5 min. I looked at my watch and 20 min did not pass. What's up with that? Never again! read more

I find some of the other reviews here to be quite silly, the soup here is nothing like "microwave soup". If you don't like your soup, that is your fault considering they let you sample literally every one (and there are like 12 available at a time). The line is long because it is a new restaurant, and hence quite a few people are there looking to try something new compared to say Noodles & Company next door which has been around for awhile. I found the staff to be very pleasant both times I went. The man by the soup counter took the time to explain each soup to me, their ingredients and his personal recommendations. The variety is great, and there are plenty of gluten free and vegan options available. I can't speak about the sandwiches, because I haven't tried them yet. But overall I would just tell my fellow yelpers on here to be patient, you can't expect perfection from a restaurant that has been open for only a month. read more

I have been to Zoup a few times now and have not been disappointed. Being able to taste the soups before choosing is awesome. I love this place, the staff is very friendly, bathrooms clean, dining area, while a bit small is comfortable with a variety of seating choices. I think it's my new favorite place. read more

I stopped in looking for something quick and inexpensive. I walked out with neither. I spent too much money for a bowl of soup and salad. I sampled one soup and by the time I went to order, it was out. Sorry! Next choice? There was a VERY long wait for a to-go order and nowhere to stand without feeling you were in someone's way. Stopped here on our way to Michigan for the weekend for some lunch. I was surprised that this establishment was mainly focused on soups. I do love soup; however, I never find it quite filling as a full meal. I ordered the choose two which is similar to Panera Bread. I decided on chicken noodle soup and the three cheese pesto sandwich with a side of sour dough bread. The bread was amazing and left me longing for more! The soup was pretty good and loaded with everything but noodles it seemed like... Sort of odd. The sandwich was decent; however, there was too much pesto. I didn't find it too be that great. My boyfriend ordered the turkey club I believe which he stated that it wasn't anything special. Too much mayo and toppings rather than meat. He did note that the bread tastes great and he also enjoyed his Caesar salad. I would probably come back to Zoup again if I found myself in the area. My husband is currently in a nursing home for short-term rehab. I like to treat him to take out during my visits. I brought him Zoup a couple weeks ago - we ordered 2 cups of the lobster bisque and 2 half turkey club sandwiches. I have to say that was the best lobster bisque I've had in a long time. Now the true person you needed to please was my Maryland born husband who knows his seafood - BRAVO Zoup because my husband said your lobster bisque is close to Eastern shore as you can make it!!! The chunks of lobster meat in every bite is amazing. We loved your lobster bisque so much that this past weekend we ordered more of it this time calling ahead for a pre-order because we were bringing lobster bisque to my husband's nursing staff - well because we couldn't stop bragging about it to everyone! Once again you didn't disappoint us. The order was ready and complete - 2 XL plus a bowl of lobster bisque; half a turkey club; and also a cobb salad. Everything was GREAT! We continue to brag about your place to everyone that came into my husband's room and would see the take out bag. I know for a fact several staff have already stopped by your establishment - I was told today some have gotten the lobster bisque and a few have tried your chicken pot pie soup. I've been to Zoup several times and I think the food is very good. I have a few go to favorites that I look out for on the menu. However, in terms of service, you need to improve. Twice now I have done online ordering with the expectation that I would walk in, get my food quickly and walk out. Instead, I've walked up to the pick up area and been made to wait until the cashier finishes with every other customer in line before even acknowledging I my presence. I'm sorry, but if I wanted to wait in line I would not have pre-ordered my food in the first place. I understand finishing the order of the person who is already there when I come in, but after that it takes all of 30 seconds to verify my name, hand me my order and say "have a nice day". Even if I still had to pay, it again takes maybe 60 seconds to ring me out and send me on my way. Delaying the physical line for maybe a minute, for a person who has technically already been in line and ordered their food is not too much to expect from your establishment. You need to train your staff to be considerate of online customers as well. I was not feeling well today and subsequently ordered online in hopes that I could be in and out. Instead I was blatantly ignored while a line of people proceeded to make their orders. When I finally was acknowledged, the employee made it clear she knew who I was and why I was waiting as she simply said my name, rang me out and gave me my food (literally 60 seconds of her time). Very inconsiderate of online customers. Why bother if you're going to be waiting at the end of the line anyway? read more
