Horrible customer service. Young male working counter this evening was extremely rude. He snapped at us just because my friend changed her mind about what pizza slice she wanted. He was visibly upset she did this even though he was still working on our order. He then sloppily (and barely) closed the box before pushing it towards us. We hadn't even picked the boxes off the counter- but he was already talking to the next customer behind us. We had never felt so unwelcome by an establishment. A nice little pizza spot. Not much for other food options in the area so I stopped in for a couple slices. I was only charged for one slice since the other one was not very fresh (I didn't ask for one free they just gave it free which was very nice). They read the instructions for the toppings but ignore the instructions for how to cook the pizza? Huge disappointment...especially for the premium I paid for this pizza. Love this place! Only pizza place I know of that uses grass-fed mozzarella which is important to me. The pizza is bomb! One of the few places I will order pizza from these days because the quality of so many other restaurants has gone down. Seems like they use higher quality ingredients here which I love and respect. I went there and ordered a toasted Turkey sub sandwich to go, the lady server was very rude because I asked her if the sandwich comes with a soda just like other Z locations. Not a huge fan of their new gluten free pizzas. The cauliflower crust was lacking and mostly ingredients other than cauliflower. Their regular pizzas are much better. Huge fan of the Mexican one, their salads are also delicious. Service is nice and the place clean with plenty of seating and easy parking. We came on Oct 12th for late lunch and whoever was working that day made our experience delightful. The cashier was knowledgeable and friendly, the location was clean and the guy who made our pizzas was on pointe! Being vegan I'm super picky about pizza and almost always disappointed. My boyfriend and I usually try to do low carb/keto diet so when we splurge for pizza it's gotta be good! Most places that do vegan pizza put the cheese on top. My biggest complaint about vegan cheese is that it sticks to the roof of your mouth making it completely clear you're not eating a real cheese. Zpizza put the toppings on top of the cheese, um genius?! This was one of, if not THE BEST vegan pizzas I've ever tried. I got the Berkeley Vegan without squash or onions and did a substitution. The beyond sausage crumble was friggin amazing. The only other good pizza place I've found in OC is "vegan pizza" but it's pretty far away for us and zpizza is better for hand tossed. read more

Just tried this place for the first time. The menu looked super good and I was very excited. I got the Italian super sub. It was tasty, and the bread was soft and delicious, so I'll give a star for that, but the amount of meat on the sandwich was pathetic. I'm not even kidding, you get more meat on a Subway sandwich. These guys make it right. At 3:30pm, I ordered two XL's over the phone, for a 5:30pm pickup. When I showed up, they realized they'd made the pizzas like right when I ordered, and they insisted I take home fresh ones, so they made fresh ones on the spot, and let me take home the others too. Very good pizza! This was our first time here so we only tried 2 pizzas: the Moroccan and the California. But there were lots of other pizzas we will try next time. The employee was very friendly and welcoming. We placed our order and the pizza preparation started right away. The pizzas still take around 10 minutes but they are well worth it! The Moroccan pizza was a little on the sweet side due to the caramelized onions but it was still very good. The California pizza had loads of veggies and the savory flavor paired well with the other pizza. If I could only choose one I would have gone with the more savory flavor but that's just me. The pizza options are grouped by toppings. There is a veggies section, a meat section, and you can also build your own. They also have salads and sandwiches but we were craving the pizza goodness. We do order from zpizza quite often and this location has been our favorite. I found the dough to be of higher quality and they do actually try to follow the requests/instructions for online orders. I love the Mexican pizza and the wild mushroom but we also commonly order customized pizza (wheat dough, pesto and tons of cheese). The great pizza aside, the parking can be an issue here specially the narrow stalls. Of course not that big of a deal when ordering delivery! read more

It's so sad how this place just turned really bad. My favorite Pear & Gorgonzola Salad had a hint of pear. The add-on grilled chicked was like half spray-painted chewy chicken skin with rubber chicken meat lining - not edible. Quite a shock. And the new team refused to accept an order for large Berkeley Vegan with Cauliflour Crust (tasty fave combo), telling me you can ONLY request that crust with SMALL pizzas. So we get a small regular crust and a pizza with scrumptious artichokes - not horrid - but NOT at all what we attempted to order. My advice is RUN to another pizza option - they exist. I called yesterday evening, around 5:30 pm, to order pizza to be delivered. I have a child with severe, life threatening allergies to all nuts, and an allergy to gluten and dairy. In the past, Zpizza employees have been more than kind and accommodating to me when I order. Last night, Zpizza employee Jason picked up the phone. I kindly asked him to verify the ingredients in the gluten-free pizza crust since sometimes almond flour is added to some gluten-free products. I explained the severity of my son's allergic reaction and why I need to know. Jason, after a few minutes of stumbling around to locate the ingredients, said he doesn't have them. What was really shocking and disturbing is that he told me that I am holding up the line, by asking to make sure my son doesn't go into an anaphylactic shock, so he had other people to serve! I always always make a stop to this ZPizza when I am in this shopping center for a slice or two. They sell pizza by the slice usually with two or three varieties available. That's how to do it! It never disappoints! And I feel upper class with the jazz music playing in the background as I leave the store outside. This place is terrible. Ordered food here for take out. Waited for 20 minutes before I got to Zpizza. Once I got there, they were just starting to prepare the pizza. Girl in the front said 5 min. Waited there a total of 15 minutes. After 15 min of waiting, I saw one of the cooks put food in their oven for take out orders. After 5 min more, one of the cooks asked me for my name again and the whole time my food was in the take out oven while the 2 girls in the front were just chatting away. Girl forgot the marinara for the breadsticks and when she put it in the box, her fingers touched the breadsticks. There's COVID, she didn't even sanitize her hands after dealing with cash.
