Parking lot is small with the post office and a handful of other businesses all sharing the same few spaces. So be prepared to circle the lot or park on the street and walk when you visit. I ordered a 9 inch ham with provolone, had lettuce, tomato, sprouts, mustard and mayo on the fresh baguette. Solid sandwich it had enough meat and cheese to satisfy me which was a little surprising. The baguette was light and tasty, the veggies were fresh and crisp. Overall the sandwich was a solid 9 out of 10, and I am something of a sandwich snob. Tables and chairs outside in the area between the buildings were convenient seating to eat our sandwiches. So, i drove 30 min from Long Beach to Newport Beach to get my fix. It is a simple, no thrills small bakery with great classic french Viennoiserie (pastries) such as the croissant, pain au chocolat (known as chocolate croissant which is wrong in my opinion), Authentic Brioche, which no one else makes and Pain au raisin (raisin roll). And please don't get the raisin roll with glaze on top. Get the regular one. Otherwise, you might as well go to a Donut shop. They also have daily baked baguettes, great sandwiches, imported cheeses, cakes, coffees etc... There is parking out front. The space has somewhat limited seating. Nice cafe - not super trendy but there are some solid pastries and baguettes here. The pain au chocolat was delicious, soft, and flaky with a ton of chocolate inside, and the mini chocolate chips sprinkled on the top were a nice touch. The green tea isn't anything mind blowing, but it was nice, light, and refreshing. Their baguettes are tasty, especially paired with the pepper paté! My daughter has been telling me about C'est Si Bon Bakery for a while but I never made it there. Recently stopped by to pick up lunch with her and her husband while we were in the area. They got their favorites, curry chicken on a croissant and I ordered the curry chicken salad. The curry chicken was so delicious and it's what they're known for. Salad was super fresh, no wilted lettuce! Wish there was a bit more chicken because I can eat two scoops of just that by itself. Definitely a must visit when I'm back to that area. read more

I had to get up early to go to HOAG, I had no time to have breakfast or at least a cup of coffee, it was brutal luckily my daughter drove us as I was a zombie! After we got out of HOAG, she drove us to the closest bakery, C'est si bon. I thought it was a French bakery like owned by a real Frenchman but I found out otherwise. The line was long, I almost wanted to leave but the little park next to it was so beautiful my daughter got in line, it was about 18 min wait while I took pictures inside and outside. We ordered 2 croissants and an apple tart. The coffee was excellent but the croissant was chewy, they sat around too long maybe? I should have ordered the pate, it looked so yummy but my daughter talked me out of it as it looked too fatty and was $20/lb then we need to buy bread, we all wanted to go home. We sat on a beautiful corner next to the fountain w 2 fake ducks, LOL! But it was enjoyable I guess you pay for the fun but sorry, the food was just ordinary, I was told it used to be owned by a Frenchman who sold it to the current owner. In France where I went to visit family every year the apple tarts were delicious in almost every bakery, why do they add almond to it in the USA? I first stumbled upon C'est Si Bon while waiting to pick up a rental car next door and just wanted a quick bite, now it's in my rotation and I'm putting everyone I know on it. They have an amazing build-your-own sandwich setup where you can choose the size (6", 9", or 12"), and they'll even cut it into halves or quarters, which is so considerate and convenient. Customer service is great, each person that's helped me has been so friendly. They walk you through your order, and the line moves quickly. The space itself is large and feels very open. One side is pretty empty (no tables), but it makes the interior feel spacious while you wait for drinks or sandwiches. Their outside space is my fave! A beautiful, serene patio with a fountain, tons of benches and tables, and a gorgeous brick facade. The whole area has such a peaceful, charming vibe. They also offer a wide variety of pastries (cinnamon rolls, scones, croissants, muffins, and other sweet treats like cakes and tarts) I've tried the cinnamon roll and the pain aux raisins, and both were not overly sweet. There's also a coffee bar station where you can add your own cream, sugar, etc. I think everyone comes here for their sandwiches, specifically the curry chicken sandwich which is... unreal. I don't know anywhere else that makes it like this. The chicken is incredibly tender and packed with flavor. It's a full-on flavor bomb: creamy, savory, slightly sweet, with warm, earthy, aromatic curry notes. It can get a little messy, and I recommend eating it immediately because the bread can get soggy. I've been getting the 12" chicken curry on baguette with provolone, dijon and mayo with sprouts, lettuce, and cucumbers. ugh, so good! Wow was I impressed. I had never been here before and we decided to drop by for a late brunch. We got two sandwiches. The sesame bagel and a turkey sandwich, with an iced vanilla latte and a black coffee. It was all delicious!! Everything was made to order and very fresh. Was my to go place when I lived nearby decade ago. Still busy in the morning, parking can be tricky but manageable. The place is big, clean and filled with baked goods and café aroma. Line can be long but moved quickly. Staff are nice, fast and attentive to your ordered. If you order anything that needs to prepare in the back, suck as sandwiches, soup, salads, etc. then you might have to wait abit long longer (5-10mins) depending on how many ahead of you. There are window seatings inside and there is a courtyard on the side of the store that covered with trees and plenty of table and chairs. The foods are good, not the best but good. My family and I actually walked four miles--yes, four miles--to C'est Si Bon Bakery because it was quite hyped online and around the block. The bakery itself is was a quaint, rustic crowded space with large displays of their menus at the top of the front counters and open kitchen spaces. C'est Si Bon Bakery has a plentiful array of customizable sandwiches, espresso and coffee, pastries, desserts, bread, and even confectionaries. What we ordered : whole wheat croissant : I really enjoyed this one! You can't go wrong with a croissant, though we noticed specks of whole wheat that elevated the flavor and heartiness to it. Granted, it's not as buttery and soft as a regular croissant, but I found the wheat's higher density to be delicious. Definitely make it into a sandwich or pair with jam or butter (9/10) apple puff pastry : crunchy, sweet, toasted, and spiced, this screams fall! I love that the apple wasn't syrupy or sopping wet, but instead, it's a touch baked with the spices penetrating deeply into the apple and the dough. We really liked this one--the powdered sugar may not be necessary for everyone, though we found it to be a wonderful topper! (9.5/10) vegetarian sandwiches : truthfully, these were bland with the bread not being very special (probably best toasted) nor the sauce elevating the vegetables or avocado at all. It's plain in nature, but we were hoping the bread would salvage it ‍ (5/10) regular oat milk coffees : gets the job done! I was caught off guard a bit when I realized how popular the restaurant is with a line out the door! The smallest size was more than a good serving size for lunch but I literally inhaled the whole thing. It was THAT good. And back to the chai latte of dreams!!! After receiving my drink I walked over to the sugar counter where they have an awesome house blend of spices that you can sprinkle over the top of your cup. This is a very authentic French bakery with a huge variety of pastries and breads. Those who work in this section of the business do a fantastic job and in my eyes earn a A+. The service is complicated. Although the employees are friendly and well-trained, the system is at fault. To order, you must stand behind a sign and wait for someone to say, "Next?" Then you approach the front counter and order. The problem is people walk right in front of you as you approach the front and cut in line in front of you. It forces you to confront others and say, "I was first." I had to do this with two women you rudely walked around the line, jumped in front of everyone by ignoring the line. I ordered one item for here and one to go. She gave me both items in bags. I had to wait in line to ask for a plate, then I had to ask for a fork and knife. They ran out and had to restock the forks. I went to another spot in the restaurant for a napkin and sugar for my latte. More people, more excuse me, etc. We had to sit outside at a dirty table, for I had to wipe it down andremove some clothing someone had left there. It was a huge ordeal to find a place to sit and enjoy such great pastries. Service gets a C- It is a large place inside, but no chairs and no table inside. There is only a counter with stools. This makes it impossible for a handicapped person to sit in a chair inside the bakery. If you go outside, you must clean your own tables. I noticed that there were no handicapped access ramps or parking anywhere around the bakery. You must walk from the business to the right around the corner. I'm not sure if that is legal but the owner said it is. The bathrooms are outside. I waited with someone else for the key to be returned. We waited and waited. I mentioned it to the employees that we had been waiting a long time, and I pounded on the door,and there was no answer. I resolved to use the women's restroom. The location for me was an F. My suggestion is to visit Moulin and see how to create a patron friendly location to make the whole experience a better one. Create a nicer environment to enjoy such a great place. read more
