Wow! My first time at a Panda Express and I was surprisingly impressed. A group of us came from a private house party in Newport Bluffs with the munchies. We descended upon this strip mall kind of set up but with quality restaurants as well as the Panda Expresses and Chipotle or Jersey Mikes. My group decided to dine on Chinese food so we entered Panda Express. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by Kevin and he provided excellent service and recommendations. The great service was followed up by Victoria, who showed us where the utensils and napkins were located. Great job...Kevin & Victoria! Tip: Check your orders before you leave. Attention to detail isn't their specialty. Ordered double super greens. Came home to my disappointment that it was double chow mein. Come one, it wasn't even a difficult order, just laziness. It says super greens on the receipt, the labels . Not sure how many times it needs to be shown for them to pay attention. I came here on a mobile order I placed to take back to my older daughter's place for my younger daughter and me. My son in law ordered his own for my older daughter and my two granddaughters. On arrival of the restaurant, it appeared quiet and clean inside and outside. We hardly had to wait and I was glad I was able to use an on line coupon buy one bowl get one free! I ordered honey walnut shrimp and fried rice for my younger daughter. It was an extra $1.50 for this shrimp, well worth the extra money because it's so good! I got orange chicken and noodles. I love the small hint of spice for their orange chicken! Yum!!! On the side as appetizers, I also ordered us each a set of two egg rolls (beware as when you order, the pic on line menu shows 3, but you only get 2). These are $2 for each set of 2. I also ordered some Rangoons, filled with cream cheese, which came as 3. Everything was so tasty! Glad we ordered dinner here on line for convenience and did not have to wait. This location gets 5 stars for delivery but only 2 stars for in person so about 3 stars overall for their service. They prioritize the delivery orders over the in store orders. I waited in the store for 7 minutes (WITH NO ONE ELSE THERE IN THE STORE) but they wouldn't take my order because they had delivery orders ahead of me, who was in the . Annoying! I have actually ordered from them for delivery to my home though and that has been outstanding so I guess I'll just do that in the future since they have that down well and clearly value their delivery customers over their in person customers. Relatively clean location. The kitchen staff smiled at me when I came in, pick up was later than expected but I think its just because of the customers in store. I guess its more of a corporate standard, but I feel like the entree portions got sooo small! My bowl was pretty much rice with one layer of food just enough to cover though it might have been because of the deal. They close at 6 PM. I don't know of any successful business that closes that early. It's a franchise and they're not doing well. This is the closest corporate owned Panda Express to the UCI area - since UCI does have it's own Panda, but it's run by Aramark and quality there is pretty bad. This corporate PE lets you earn reward/use email offers. Food quality is good and the variety is great as always. If they don't have the entree you want - depending on what time it is - they'll usually offer to cook a fresh batch for you if you're willing to wait. I typically get a side of chow mein, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken and/or mushroom chicken. Service is cheerful and the workers are friendly. If you dine in, there are a few spacious tables, and noise level isn't too bad. There is outdoor seating available as well - shared with the other nearby restaurants. The staff can be seen constantly cleaning/wiping the tables, especially during rush hour. Plenty of parking in the lot anchored by the other stores - but for easier in/out - I like to park in the back - behind the shops. read more

Thank god this isn't my local Panda Express. I went in today and ordered my plate the "MANAGER" puts in the wrong items so I tell the nice lady next to him (she took over) that he put the wrong things (normally I don't complain at all but since I'm on a strict diet I couldn't take what they put) she proceeds to throw away the order which was strange but then the manager returns and notices that the order is different and he asks "what happened with his order" she says "he made a change in his order" um no I didn't then he says "what you do with the other food" she then replies in Spanish "I threw it away" the MANAGER begins to complain under his breath about me in Spanish and the girl just stands there in awkwardness. I found this very disturbing and disrespectful, luckily I'm Mexican so I understood every single thing he said but that's sad because who knows how many times he does that to people who don't know the language. This review is for the date of 07/14/22 at 11:20 AM. First off, let me say that I love Panda and the staff in this branch are very nice and efficient. I usually get the honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken plate and always am satisfied. Today, though was different. I got the same order with inconsistencies. Not sure what company policy is about the amount of fried rice on the plate. Is it three scoops or four? I usually get four scoops but today was only three. More importantly, the orange chicken and the shrimp were overcooked. The shrimp had char spots on it which is not usual. The chicken batter was tough that the plastic fork couldn't poke through. Both entrees were chewy. It was definitely not the usual texture. The shrimp is usually bright yellow but this was dark orange. Overcooked. Hope you take note of these. Consistency is key. I have always loved Panda Express and was super excited they opened a location close to me. At the beginning when they opened everyone was very professional and food was delicious, especially the Orange Chicken. Fast forward to Friday and I came in to noisy joking around employees at front counter AND they have changed their chicken because it is not good at all. Super happy that Panda opened up super close by! Located in a plaza just off the highway 73 Bison exit. Plenty of parking. Friendly service, nice clean indoor seating. My experience was a mixed bag at this location. The food seemed pretty fresh, but I visited at lunchtime on Friday, so it probably would have been fresh at almost any Panda Express at this time. The employees were nice enough, so there's that. My main gripe here is the small portion size. I got a 2-item combo with wok-fired shrimp, spring rolls, and noodles. They loaded my plate up with noodles first, so they could implement the usual (but unsuccessful) trick of giving less of the main entrée without seeming stingy (because the plate is filled with noodles or rice). Spring rolls are always the same, so no issue there. Anyhow, on the the main issue: I got 5 small shrimp and a (very) few veggies. This was really stingy in my opinion, and the worker seemed extremely judicious about dispensing as few shrimp and veggies as possible. This was such a tiny serving and was disappointing. I'm not an huge eater who needs a ton of food- I just wanted a reasonable portion, which I didn't receive. Anyhow, so there's my review. Normally we purchased from Newport wFashion island food courts, but we know this location just open three days and closer to our house, so we decide to try. We purchased three to go plates from this location and we are very disappointed. We picked orange chicken and beef broccoli. We only received four pieces orange chicken and four little pieces beef for beef broccoli . For a $10 plates we are expecting more than that.
