Service is always friendly and prompt. Unfortunately, the food quality and portion sizes at this location are inconsistent, especially compared to the Irvine (campus) and Tustin (District) locations. My salad often arrives with brown avocado that appears to be covered in pepper to disguise it. My sandwich is frequently underfilled, and my salads sometimes feel noticeably smaller than expected. On two occasions when I ordered takeout, items were missing, including the tortilla chips that come with the Green Goddess salad. Mendocino is my favorite place for a quick meal, and I visit two to three times per month. I am sharing this in the hope that management sees it and improves consistency at this location. read more

I went once. I went twice. I'll see them THRICE. I didn't know what to think, seemed like a Healthy option for lunch, but the portions for the salads are hefty, and they are more than delicious, I didn't want the bowl to end. Both of these salads were top notch, and their Guava Lemonade was also spectacular. My first time here, the young lady came from around the counter and even went over the menu with me, which was very nice. Javier, the manager, was very helpful, friendly, and professional. You can tell he is passionate about their menu and their overall dedication to quality food and service. I had the special which was a half Turkey avo salsa sandwich and tomato basil soup. You can also get a half sandwich and salad or a small side too, but I opted for soup for about $1 more. The soup was good, but I've had better tomato basil soup elsewhere. I might not order it again here. Again, it wasn't bad though! I love the turkey avo salsa sandwich. It's so packed with flavor. This is a really nice location with plenty of seating, lighting, and parking. It's next to a Starbucks, so I got a little coffee after as an afternoon pick-me-up. I would return to this location! We enjoy Mendocino farms quite a bit, but since they've gotten rid of the pork belly bahn mi, I've been going less. That sandwich was absolutely fantastic. Perfect amount of sweet and spicy, and the meat was always tender and flavorful. Their other sandwiches are yummy too, but they are pretty pricy considering you don't get any sides or anything. The salads are really large and always fresh. We like going there with big groups because there are very large round tables outside that we can all sit at. The Farm Club was amazing, I loved it- Potato salad was good although I prefer it chunkier than creamier, the texture was a bit smooth for my taste. My wife got the Not So Fried chicken sandwich which she loves. We got my two year old the PB&J, I didn't know it came toasted which was a bit of an issue for her. All in all the food was great, quality ingredients on quality ingredients. For starters, Props to Lucas aka Mr: Turkey Avocado Sala Verde for providing excellent hospitality, service and solid recommendations. Always been a fan of Mendo. Fast casual, simple but you can taste that rhe ingredients are fresher and higher quality than other quick service restaurants. The salads soups and sandwiches are always pretty good. I used to love Mendocino Farms but this location in particular isn't that good. My kale apple salad was not fresh, so I requested a different side. The waitress brought me the lemon chicken soup instead which tasted good however, the soup spoon had visible rust on it EWW! Sadly, I won't be back. read more

I've never had Mendocino Farms until I recently moved to California and I love it as a go-to sandwich spot. I love that they always seem fresh and have lots of flavor. However, they are very dense and higher in calories so not necessarily a low calorie option but definitely a good tasting option. I have yet to try any soup or salads which may be the better option if you're looking for something lower in calories. My absolute favorite sandwich is the Turkey Avo Salsa Verde. There is a large piece of turkey and the salsa verde is amazing with a little kick to it. My work also gets the catering boxes that have half of a bunch of the different sandwiches which is nice to be able to try different ones. read more

The mango salad was crisp and had fun additions like almonds and noodles. It also had a hint of Thai basil which I'm not the biggest fan, but it worked well in here. The chicken parm dip had a really nice bread, I loved it. The dipping sauce is necessary to complete the dish, and it's a simple yet gets the job done. This is a new spot at Fashion Island and I like that they have both inside and outside seating. We love Mendocino! The standard orders for us are the not so fried chicken sandwich, the Chinese salad, and the peach sandwich. My only disappointment so far is their heirloom blt. The tomato was just a normal tomato cut so thick that the sandwich was a mess and disappointing when expecting an heirloom. The service is always amazing. I would say employees are similar to chick fil a, helpful and sweet every time. Inside the restaurant has an updated look with lots of seating and a few seats outside as well. I was anxious to try it, since I'd heard such good things about it. She ordered the Impossible Taco Salad, which comes with a plant-based Impossible chorizo, housemade superfood krunchies, chopped romaine and curly kale, succotash with roasted corn, black beans & jicama, red onions, cilantro, grape tomatoes, avocado, coupled with a house vegan chipotle ranch dressing. Since it was my first time trying it, I decided to go for the famous Farm Club Sandwich, which comes with roasted turkey breast, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, herb aioli, tomatoes, mixed greens, and pickled red onions on a seeded honey whole wheat bread. As a side, I also ordered basil pesto shells. The food was honestly amazing! Her salad smelled so good, and it wasn't even open, yet. I could literally smell it inside the container! The sandwich was delicious and filling! I could only eat one half of it, and I saved the rest for later. The only disappointment regarding the basil pesto shells was its size; and I had ordered the large portion. The food was so fresh and flavorful! Everything literally tasted homemade. The ambiance is such a chill and happy environment. I ordered the steak and bacon sandwich with bacon on the side. I still couldn't get over the fact steak and bacon go together. The sandwich blew my mind and the vegan bread is by far one of the best breads I have ever had. The sandwich literally melts in your mouth. It is a top notch sandwich. The second was the pork belly banh mi. It is not your typical Vietnamese sandwich but it def gets the job done. i just wish that it came with more meat but the flavors were succulent! The cashier was very nice and helpful. However that's all the good things I have to say about my experience. I ordered a single salad to go with no changes and it took over 20 minutes to come out. I am generally understanding of wait times since I've worked in the restaurant industry, but there was 8 people in the kitchen and zero line so I don't understand why it took so long. After my long wait, I was just happy to eat my salad. But unfortunately I was met with a half empty portion. I frequently go to the Mendocino Farms in Irvine and they always pack the salad to the top. For a $13 dollar salad, I'd expect it to at least fill the package. I don't recommend this location if you want a true Mendocino Farms experience, and managements needs to do better. read more

The turkey avocado sandwich comes with a panini-pressed sourdough bread with turkey, cotija & gouda cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and a side of jalapeño salsa verde. The salsa adds great flavor to the sandwich if you dip with each bite. The avocado and quinoa salad comes with kale & romaine lettuce, quinoa, corn, black beans, jicama, red onions, cilantro, cotija cheese, tomatoes and avocado with a chipotle vinaigrette dressing.
