Zs Buddies Signature-Seaworld Sushi Burrito Oversized
    Quintin V.

I never do yelp reviews, but Zs was awesome! I got a rainbow roll and shrimp tempura, basic plates and all the ingredients tasted so fresh! Service was fast and the two working the truck were very kind. It was a refreshing surprise to get some sun on my break and find Zs waiting outside.

    Absolutely delicious Sushi Burrito
    Jessika O.

I was blown away by the sushi burrito! It was not only gorgeous, but delicious as well. The salmon and tuna were super fresh. The salmon was like butter and the tuna was excellent. The burrito stayed together really well and even though I'm not a huge fan of seaweed on the outside, this sheet of nori was somehow thinner and more palpable than most. I will absolutely search this truck out in the future! Yay for yummy mobile sushi in our city!

Love this truck! They were at Casa Mira View for the Foodie Feast that they have every Monday and Wednesday. I ordered the Black Widow Sushi Burrito based on Javier's suggestion and it was delicious! Their service was great too. I was treated with smiles and a warm welcome. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu.

    Poke bowl, no cucumbers

I'll admit, I was a skeptical about the quality of fish on a food truck. All of my fears went away as soon as I looked at my poke bowl! Zs Buddies has the freshest fish on four wheels! The fish is so fresh, it just melts in your mouth. Ken let us know he picks up his fish DAILY!! You get what you pay for at Zs Buddies. Fresh fish & good portion size thats packed with flavor. The poke did have a bit of spice to it if you are sensitive to any heat. I got my bowl without cucumbers, you can also ask for half rice, half salad if you like. This was my second visit and the service and food was consistent. Great service, great poke! Located in the Target parking lot, plenty of parking. You can sit on the wall and eat or take it to go.

Sushi burritos have come and gone and honestly I was never the biggest fan of them. However, after hearing such positive comments about Zs Buddies, I had to see if they could change my mind on the retired trend. The food truck was in the Target parking lot and their exact location can be found on the website calendar. Their menu consisted of fried appetizers, burritos and new sushi rolls. Unfortunately their ramen and bento boxes were sold out. We placed our order up front and noticed an unmentioned card fee. Our food was finished after 15 minutes. =ORDERED= *Fried Oysters: could have used another minute. The panko exterior was mostly crispy with a third of the oysters being a bit soggy. Oysters were rather small but they were soft and hot. Came with a lemon slice and spicy mayo. *Mt. Fuji Burrito: had an impressive cross section. Stuffed with krab, avocado, tuna and salmon. Loved how most of the burrito consisted of fillings with a thin layer of sushi rice and mixed greens. The tuna and salmon weren't fishy at all, the included slices were thick. I didn't like the smell of the paper wrapping so I removed it. The Mt. Fuji burrito was already massive so I can't imagine how big their oversized version would be. Food was well balanced and the seafood got to shine as opposed to rice. Zs Buddies, you redeemed the sushi burrito trend for me.

Food: After coming here for a Yelp Elite Event, we would say that this food truck is a decent option for a sushi crave fix. The event allowed us to try the Poke Salad Bowl - it came with a good-sized portion of fresh tuna and salmon on top of spring mix, and complemented with seaweed salad, imitation crab, avocado, and cucumber. The ingredients were fresh, and all worked together. However, we thought the sauce was too sweet and swayed from traditional Hawaiian poke recipes; it felt like an Americanized version of poke. The event also allowed us to try the fried oysters - these were also pretty tasty. We bought the Mt. Fuji Burrito and found it better than the bowl. It also came with tuna and salmon, this time tossed in spicy Mayo and rolled in a seaweed/rice burrito. Again, portions were decent for the price/food truck food. If you are hungry after shopping at Target here, we would recommended just the burrito. Service: The owner was a friendly and helpful dude! Gave us a little background on the roots of his food truck venture. Very welcoming energy from him. Atmosphere: Clean food truck situated in the Target parking lot here. Between this truck and the other available, this one caught my eye. Clean menu layout and aesthetics.

    Poke Sushi Burrito

Found this food truck at the India Street Wednesday food truck set up. The poke burrito was fresh and delicious. Only downside was a soda plus tip put this whole thing at $22. Not cheap. But like I've said in other reviews...welcome to inflationary times folks.

    Nell E.

I was pumped to try this Japanese fusion food truck, courtesy of the taste makers of Yelp, and it met my every expectation! The Mt. Fuji burrito was everything I thought it would be. With the seaweed wrap, and tuna and salmon pieces, and, importantly, not too much rice, it was the perfect bite every time! It had that satisfying sushi taste with that filling, ample portion of a burrito! The Takoyaki octopus balls, with a creamy filling were so creative! A mite saltier I usually go for, but I loved the creativity, and cured salmon shavings on top, giving it a smoky rich taste. The truck is conveniently located in south park, in the target parking lot and Z's Buddies definitely hit the bull's eye, or fish's eye lol? So bring your buddies and stop by their truck, it's quality seafood, so you won't have to try your luck!

    Swan L.

I was pleasantly surprised with Z's Buddies. Their truck is conveniently located in the parking lot of Target South Park. From the menu, I actually really enjoyed the hot items, gyoza and takoyaki. Both steaming hot with great texture and lots of bits of octopus in the takoyaki. Bonita flakes going nuts in the wind! The sushi burritos were gigantic! And the protein were pretty fresh. I saw someone else order their signature burrito which was gigantic - definitely much larger than my forearms. A great value overall

Literally the size of my head! Zs Buddies Signature-Seaworld Sushi Burrito Oversized
    Christine E.

Sushi burritos the size of my head! I came to Z buddies after seeing it on social media. It is located at the South Park Target parking lot. They are usually at this spot, but they do have a calendar on their website to let you know where they will be parked for the day. My husband and I got a couple items on the menu including the shrimp tempura, fried oysters, and 3 different sushi burritos. Everything was great! Usually when we get fried things to go they get soggy when we reach home, but the tempura and fried oysters stayed nice and crispy. The sushi burritos were gigantic and one was enough for two servings! Everything we tried tasted great an the quality of the fish was really good and fresh! I would definitely recommend this food truck if you see it!

I heard Zs Buddies was having fried oysters on the menu as a special over the weekend, so I headed down to the San Diego Food Markets to give them a go. I was certainly glad I did because they were fantastic. The panko breading was perfect. It was light and crispy but with enough to encompass the whole oyster. The oysters inside were juicy for sure and flavorful. They offered that subtle flavor of the sea and a touch of brine. They were just right. The sauce that came on the side was great. It was creamy and had a touch of spice, bit not much. Zs Buddies also makes poke bowls, sushi burritos, sushi rolls, tempura, and bento boxes. The staff members were all very nice. Check out their web site for their upcoming locations.

Double dragon sushi burrito and seaweed salad
    Sarah K.

My job has been getting food trucks every week at work and I have to say that this is by far the best one they've gotten yet! The food here tastes super fresh and even without sauce it's good?? Like I was SHOOK LOL. I ended up getting a double dragon sushi burrito and seaweed salad. Tbh I swore off sushi burritos after trying one for the first time on Convoy (I think the place was called pokeritto but I believe it's long gone now). Bcuz that sushi burrito was so gross. But omg the sushi burrito here is so fresh and you can actually taste each ingredient when taking a bite!! I actually even enjoyed my sushi burrito without any sauce for the first few bites bcuz of how delicious it was. But I couldn't resist adding ponzu and spicy Mayo which gave the burrito even more flavor than it already had. The seaweed salad was also nice and crunchy and it's atop of a bed of some spring mix which is nice. Would prefer if it was 100% seaweed salad without spring mix but I can't complain bcuz it was still super delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this food truck, it's def one of the best food trucks I've ever eaten at.

Mt. Fuji Sushi Burrito, fried octopus, and versions nigiri pieces.
    Tiff H.

I love stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new. Raw fish isn't something that I usually go for but I had to come check this place out. Luckily Z's has tempura battered goodies as an option too incase raw meat isn't your jam :) I got to chat with the owner, and such a nice guy, passionate about the food he's serving up to folks! I'm happy I could be a part of this experience and support him. I ordered the Mt. Fuji burrito, some nigiri sushi, and the fried octopus and mannn it all looked so good as it came out! Everything was super fresh and was a perfect serving size. Im pleased. I want to come back and get the fried oysters next time. They look like they would be a hit!

Food and catering service were some of our highest priorities to get right during our wedding and Culinary Kitchen was phenomenal every step of the way. Our communication with Ashley and and JP before, during, and after the wedding was exceptional. From the very beginning, Ashley was very responsive and regularly checked in with us, which helped me feel less overwhelmed by all the catering decisions we needed to make. I tend to err on being extremely detail oriented and I asked tons of questions early on. Ashley was so patient and thorough with each email I had sent over even before booking. Before choosing our caterer, we did 3 different wedding caterer tastings and Culinary Kitchen easily was the best of all three (we're still thinking about the gochujang meatballs and the cavatappi pasta with fennel sausage!!). On our wedding day, the food service ran seamlessly and our guests often commented on how good the food was (guests were actually trying to sneak chicken tenders off the kids plates because even the kids meals were so good). Their team also helped us serve our desserts, did our bartending, and rented/placed all of our table settings, all at very reasonable prices as part of the entire catering package. The team also went above and beyond to accommodate all of our guests' special dietary needs while still helping us stay within budget and recommending a cohesive menu. One last thing - we did A LOT of research on different San Diego caterers before our wedding (I think we sent out inquiries to at least 10 other caterers) and Culinary Kitchen's catering packages felt the most "upscale" and comprehensive without leaving us feeling nickel and dimed for every line item. I truly felt like their team was on our side the whole way. THANK YOU Culinary Kitchen for catering our wedding day!! We wish you guys the best of success!

Quality imagination presentation --…read more Four Seasons Food Catering is owned by the marvelous duo Billy Burd and Sierra Ridenour-Burd. They make an amazing team. They catered a party for us at the The Thursday Club in Point Loma in March and dazzled everyone. When we were trying to choose a caterer we were attracted to Four Seasons by the imaginative and creative flair of Chef Billy Burd's cuisine and by their very positive reviews. One thing that caught our attention about the reviews was that many of them were fairly long. Apparently reviewers were not satisfied to give 5 stars and a paragraph of praise, they really wanted to testify. They felt that Four Seasons was special and they were motivated to let you know just how special. After experiencing Four Seasons catering service we can understand that sentiment. The culinary experience Four Seasons provided was marvelous. The dishes were imaginative, taste tempting, and a delight to the eye. Guests loved the appetizers that were passed: shrimp wrapped in basil and pancetta, mushrooms with escargot, parmesan crusted artichoke hearts. The stationary display had a choice assortment of cheeses and a selection of cold seafood that included jumbo shrimp, smoked salmon, ahi poke, and a sashimi platter all beautifully presented. Suffice it to say the buffet was equally spectacular. Chef Billy takes pride in the quality of the products he sources. The filet mignon for example was gorgeous. The shrimp served in the seafood display were so tasty that they made you stop and take notice. This was a once in a lifetime kind of party for us so we pulled out the stops when we were choosing items for the menu. It's very much to Billy and Sierra's credit that part of their response was to say that and they would be happy to offer some more budget friendly variations. We appreciated their inclination to work with clients to find good solutions to their needs. We enjoyed meeting with Chef Billy one time early in the planning process, but other than that, all the planning and coordination was handled by Sierra. She is fantastic and a pleasure to work with. She gave us recommendations on the initial approach to the menu, on down to details like the serving schedule, linens, and the table floor plan. We communicated mostly through email which was very productive because her emails, besides being congenial, were always clear and complete. And it was amazing how quickly she would reply, usually the same day. When it came to the final week before the party and it was time to summarize all the various emails and discussions Sierra nailed it, she recapped everything perfectly. The Four Seasons staff were wonderful. During the set up time they operated like clockwork. During the party they could not have been more charming and gracious. This is another major point to Billy and Sierra's credit. It takes care and effort to assemble a team of this quality--a group of individuals who interface harmoniously not only with the guests, but with each other, and with other vendors such as the florist. The whole event flowed thanks to the staff. When you are planning a special event you hope to create a joyful and memorable experience for all your guests. Four Seasons is a caterer with an amazing combination of culinary artistry and service craft. Choose Four Seasons as your caterer and you can't go wrong.
