I stopped in here while staying nearby for business. I searched Yelp for what was around and Zulema's was a short walk away. It's located in the middle building in a trio of buildings in the office park. Ground level, entrance is to the left of the office building entrance. Nicely decorated with Nashville artwork and lots of indoor dining available. I am mostly plant based so I ordered the veggie burrito minus the egg and cheese with side of home fries and a unsweetened bottled tea. My order was prepared quickly while I waited. I dined in as the dining area didn't have many patrons and they have a nice selection of hot sauces at each table. I like my hot sauces so this was great. The home fries were crisp and tasty. I think the menu said they come with green peppers but mine did not. The burrito was tasty although it was very greasy. Hence the star subtraction. The veggies (spinach, red peppers, etc were good as well as the tortilla. Just lots of grease. They have a lunch buffet Tuesday through Thursday. I'm glad I made the walk over as I like to support small businesses such as Zulema's. I'll be back if in the area again. read more

I was in the area for a business trip and found this lunch spot to be in proximity to where I am staying near the airport. The location is a bit "strange" as it is located in deep corporate buildings so you may assume you got lost, but the restaurant is literally located at the ground level, with a not-too-obvious sign showing the restaurant name. We entered and found that there is the standard lunch offerings like salads, wraps, etc but what stood out is that the price is amazing. These days with inflation, it can be quite a challenge to find something hearty for $10-11 with fresh ingredients. I personally got the chipotle chicken wrap which had enough food for one sizable meal or two small meals, and I opted for side salad to be healthier, which they didn't charge extra. The sauce is rich and creamy, and there is enough vegetables for the added crunch to the wrap. The only small complaint is that the ranch is too thick and creamy for a salad dressing, but that didn't really matter too much to me as I rarely, if ever, add much dressing to my salad anyways. read more

My wife and I both ordered the burrito mexicana, and the flavor of the chorizo was amazing. The reason I am giving this establishment three stars is that the service was atrocious. The two employees that were working were not pleasant at all, and food and drinks didn't get to us until 40 minutes after we ordered. I would be a little more understanding if they were busy, but we were the only ones there when we placed our order. I also have an issue with them asking for a tip during payment prior to you receiving your order as they don't serve you at the establishment. read more

I tried Zulema's Kitchen with a friend and we were both pleased with our lunch. I had a chicken quesadilla and it was good. It's in a bit of an odd spot and the menu is mostly Mexican but they have a variety of items and it would make a great spot to meet someone who would rather have something other than Mexican food. read more

This unassuming place tucked into an office is a great find for anyone even close by. Park Kurt the owner is a great guy and brought out his special salsa for me while Zulema his wife cooks feverishly behind him. The decor is a bit stale and feels like a hospital cafe which has the upside benefit of feeling very clean. As for the food, Zulema's Breakfast sandwich is delicious with a unique combination of a yummy omelette and mayonnaise (don't judge til you try it) and avocado. This is the perfect comfort food. The breakfast burrito is large enough to share unless you're really hungry. Kurt brought out his Agua di Mika made with hibiscus flowers is a great super sweet way to hydrate and as long as you can handle sweet tea a great addition to your breakfast. Fantastico! Fresh food, beautifully presented fresh and delicious! I travel all the time for business and always look for interesting, different and a small business. Well this time I was rewarded with a great vegetarian dish of a falafel burger and excellent fresh bar of guacamole, pico de gallo, jalapeños, chips and salsas! Since I'm stuck in a hotel room until my flight in the morning, I was going to get the same thing for dinner but decided to visit the sister restaurant. Great breakfast nook in the midst of this sterile looking industrial area near the airport-nearest breakfast spot near the Wyndham Wingate Hotel. Look for the sign in the corner window of the restaurant across from the parking deck. It is easy to miss by GPS. I had the create your own omelette. Six choices are included with .25 starting with item number 7. You can get jalapeños and pica de Gallo! You also get a small side of tasty salsa. My wife got your basic egg and cheese sandwich. The cooks are very nice and atmosphere is the best thing going for this industrial area. Improvements I would suggest would be a couple more menu choices, cheeses, and toast on the side. Omg! This place is awesome. It's tucked in a business park so we had to park in a lot and walk over, not ideal but worth it. They have a buffet of to go items- includes chicken fingers and some homemade items. I think this is popular for the business people. We had breakfast - it was awesome. A huge tortilla stuffed with whatever you want and lightly grilled; we split this and still had leftovers. The owner went out of his way and you could taste the sincerity in every bite!! read more

TL/DR: Generous, friendly proprietors; clean restaurant and kitchen; delicious food. This was such a surprising treat. Having crashed in a nearby hotel in the midst of a long trip we needed breakfast before hitting the road again and yelp led us here. Finding that it was in an office building AND that the name on the door did not match the review created some trepidation but Kurt soon put us at ease. A truly stunning lunch buffet was in the midst of being put out while Kurt (co-owner) told us the history of his wife's eponymous business. She stealthily slid us tamales to sample while deciding on what to eat. Everything smelled and looked great. We both had fantastic omelette smothered in their phenomenal, homemade, green and habanero salsas. Cannot say enough good about how at home and satisfied we felt eating here. I was attending training classes for 3 weeks at the building that this restaurant is located in so I ate here several times. I always chose to do the lunch buffet that they had. Great Breakfast! We found Zulema's near the airport as we're flying out of Nashville & what a treat. My wife's breakfast burrito was delicious & my omelette was also terrific. Curt, Zulema's husband welcomed us and had us try the Hibiscus tea which was also excellent & well worth trying. It sits quietly in an office complex with free parking & plenty of it. Amazing spot tucked away in a business park! My husband and I happened to be on this side of town so we hopped on yelp to see what we could find for lunch and this place was the winner based on reviews! It took us a second to find it, it's on the left hand side of one of the buildings and visitor parking is on either side of the building. We tried Zulema's on a Wednesday, which is their soup, salad and potato bar day, I'll have to come back on a Tuesday or Thursday when they have their taco bar up and running! I chose the chicken tortilla soup and my husband went for the chili, both were really flavorful and delicious!! The salad/potato bar were stocked with a great assortment of fresh veggies and toppings like feta, cheddar, corn, black beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, broccoli, spicy tortilla strips, fresh croutons and so much more. While we were ordering we saw one of the ladies making fresh chips, they offered us some to try, which was so kind and they were so delicious!! Wonderful service, so friendly and generous. I honestly cannot love Zulema's Kitchen enough. I would go every day if I could. Not to say they are expensive, because they aren't at all! Breakfast is around $5-6 and Lunch is around $8-10. I am always very pleased with their food (both American and Latina style) and the service is always friendly and accommodating even during very busy times. I have eaten here over a hundred times over the last few years as I work in the building next door. I am now pregnant and crave their food more than ever! Especially when they're closed on Saturdays and Sundays haha. The fries are THE BOMB, the express lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays is always killer. The breakfast panini is excellent, as well as the omelet, breakfast burrito, veggie burrito. The veggie burger is awesome. Their grilled cheeses are so good. This restaurant is located on the bottom floor of an office complex. I recently started a job working in this office and was excited to see that there was a convenient place to get food. I've gone downstairs a couple of times for lunch and the taco bar is fantastic. But this morning, I decided to try breakfast. So I went and got a breakfast burrito to take back to my office. And wow!
