This man named Omar is bad I mean real messed up. I wanted to return shoes yes I worn them but my feet does not feel comfortable due to flat feet and also the reason I wore them was hoping I don't have to return it because I love them so much but I'm just really feel uncomfortable. I don't usually return things at this store. I have bought anime shirts, members only jackets and worth $$$ of dollars spent here. I really hate returning things but I had to for this one. OMAR kept on telling me it's used and I only have bought this for few days. Wish I understand but if I'm in pain and I have to return I have to do it! He kept on making fun of me, smirking and laughing in the side. A female associate that was on his side had to stop him. He was a jerk and I had to resize my voice at him and telling him "I don't usually return things unless I need too! They know I buy many things and it was my first time returning it!!! Omar also said that I return things in mission Viejo mall they must have mistaken me with someone else because I never go there! I never once shopped there and more returned anything there as well. Wanted to buy a longboard in store the same day so went to try out this zumiez, the active ride next to it and the vans just down the way...this one has the most longboards to choose from, from decks to pre assembled. Pre assembled ran around 130 - 200 but had more choice than active ride - both do custom longboards but this place has more decks to choose from - deck price plus 90 bucks gets you an assembled skateboard...so similar to the pre assembled ones price wise. Killian and Ethan helped me out, both were really helpful though K kept trying to get me to buy stuff, no commission here so good effort. You can ride thru the store (video uploaded of the strip ride you can take) - gotta try before you buy! Staff is skate friendly so no worries if you're a noob or pro, zumiez will hook you up with a new board for a good price and good service. read more

The lady at the cashier was eating popcorn and checking Celphone while people were waiting in a long line. It was just awkward and an acceptable. Just frustrated waiting for checking out for small items. Ended up being left and walked away from the lines. They need to improve their customer service seriously. I went there another time, the guy was going to scan my items then turned around towards the guy who worked at the skeet board section, started chatting with him for 15 minuets.. always disappointing customer service there except the guy at the skeet board and 1 Black lady were super helpful though. As soon as I walked in Andrew greeted me very quickly and efficiently found the Vans I wanted after explaining to him what I was looking for. One of the workers kept asking customers if they preferred raising cane's or chick-fil-a but she did so in a loud voice. At first it was funny but then she started to talk back at customers who chose raising cane's. It was getting awkward, scary, and annoying all at once. While I was paying for my item she hardly paid attention to me because she kept arguing with another customer about it. I also heard her yell at a co-worker saying the co-worker (maybe it was a manager idk for sure) will promote her to something if more people chose chick-fil-a. I would just say that this particular worker should make less of a scene and pay attention more to the quality of her customer service. It's fun to see people joke around a bit, but to the extent she showed was just so off-putting and immature. read more

Great and SAFE experience/customer service returning an item at this store that was purchased online. Keanu (hope I spelled this right), was really friendly and helpful and did everything he could to help me safely return a pair of shoes I ordered online that had been to small. He was very kind and understanding to my worries regarding safety (COVID) and assured me in the future I could again have those needs met. I was also informed this store allows you to pick up items at the door. Awful experience. The staff is racist and accused my brother of pre attempt to steal clothes when my brother went to simply try on new clothes. This young woman profiled my brother and I for being young and brown. He felt extremely offended and wanted to just leave but we ended up buying clothes because that's why we went to buy clothes and not be harassed. It's crazy that these things actually happen. I've been shopping here for years for my kids to find unique what's hot must have. For the most part I felt in the past parents are just invisible. But recently we went in needing to make a first time skateboard purchase. We got the Best Customer Service from the Manager Keanu (sorry for the spelling ?) and the sales guy John. Went in yesterday around,I wanna 6 or 7, was looking for some shirts and hoodies since I go back to school on Monday. Me and my friends were being followed the whole time yesterday, got asked a couple times if we needed help which was very helpful at first but after while pretty much summed up they just thought we were stealing. I was looking for some hoodies and this girl with a hat kept following me around what made me uncomfortable was that everywhere I tried looking there she was next to me. When I had my items to try on it was like being watched by a hawk would recommend anywhere else but here. We went to a handful of clothing stores surrounding Zumiez and ended up buying several things here because the guy (Steve) was so helpful. As we approached the entrance, we were greeted instantly and he asked if he could help us out. I was pleasantly surprised because the other stores didn't do this. He ended up showing us the latest styles AND went through all of the stacks of clothing to find their sizes and favorite colors! I don't even know how much time he saved me by doing this...a lot! i never write reviews unless i am THIS mad. i don't think i have ever had such a bad experience at a store EVER. it was really intimidating right off the bat when walking in. the employees greeted you with the death stare and dirty, judgmental looks. as someone with severe depression and suicidal thoughts, this truly triggered me. it got worse from here. i really needed a new belt so i was trying to find those, i went up to an employee, but lady walked away as i started asking her a question. i decided the belt wouldn't look too flattering on me, so i put the belt back ON THE BELT RACK and left. we started to walk off to the next store, but one of the employees started yelling at us to come back and so we did. she asked where the belt was and we told her we put it back on the belt rack and she said ok and we part our ways. as we came out of the store, the lady was waiting for us, oh and my friend and i both had small sephora bags and a jacket that we were carrying. she then proceeds to walk up to us and tells us to come back to the store so she can check our bags and other stuff. as we walk in, she asked me the size of the belt and the color, i then told her i would gladly show her where it is and sure enough, it was right there on the rack. she then said that we could leave without saying sorry for anything. thankfully, a very kind lady walked up to us and had a similar problem with her children. the kinda lady was fed up with it as much as we were. i understand that there are many problems these days with stealing, but being accused felt so wrong after telling her multiple times that we didn't do anything. the other thing that bothered me was the first time she talked to us about it, we told her where we put it in the store, and she didn't even check for it. it makes me sad that this is the world we live in, but this fully ruined my day. the worst part was that she never apologized for her actions. read more

My friend and I walked into Zumiez to check out the clothes they have. As we walk in we see this man of color staring at us as if he's high. We were already all creeped out but just continued to browse and ended up picking up a few shirts to try on. Right of the bat, another worker tells as that we can't go in together which would've been understandable but not in such a rude manner. Then I walked in the fitting room to tell my friend what I think of the shirt she was wearing. The door ACCIDENTALLY slammed and here comes the employee banging on the door telling me to get out. As I'm coming out of her dressing, he says "there can't be more than one person , y'all should've listen the first time I said it." Never once in my life have a experienced an employee saying things this way. After this happened we were already pissed off and didn't feel like trying on the rest of the things. On our way out of the store we were still holding all the stuff we didn't want because there wasn't any workers helping us out, or even taking the clothes we didn't want. Not only was this rude customer service but it's also the reason for what happened next. Due to not knowing were to put the clothes we just hanged them up on a random rack (keep in mind that all of the workers were watching us do that). As we were nearing the exit we had one shirt left in our hands since my friend was debating on wether on not to purchase it. As we were hanging up the shirt back from we're got it the African American man stares at us and starts to make eye contact with another employee. Finally we are leaving the store and right as we are about to step out this man steps in front of us (looking very high) and whispers "I'm gonna need you to stop right there." At this point my friend and I are at our limit. The other employees come toward us and ask us where we put the clothes that we tried on. Right then I basically power walked leaving my friend where she was and going right to where the left out clothes. Also just know that we weren't acting rude at all. At last I told the workers where we put all the stuff and left. Never once in my life have I ever experienced such bad customer service. I see why they think we might have stolen something however, it was their fault for not taking the clothes, and they were staring at us the entire time. Overall, this is the worst thing I've ever had to go through in my life and this store really doesn't deserve your hard earned money if they are gonna be this disrespectful. read more
