Truly the rudest server I've experienced in a long long time. The food was fine, but the overall experience was one of us being a burden to the server. We got our own drinks, silverware and to go boxes after being ignored numerous times. She was so baldly rude that she purposely didn't give us review slips with our checks. Don't plan on getting decent service and add 45 minutes to the wait time they give you for a table. Brought a group of six to try to dine, showed up to a "30 minute" wait on a Tuesday. After an hour and fifteen minutes, still no table. It was a table for 8 occupied by 2 drinking water. Apparently turning away a large party all wanting food and adult beverages because two people are deep in awkward conversation over waters is good business practice. Best pub in Bend. Some of the best food in Bend too, which was a bit of a surprise to me when I first ate here. Now I come by weekly and have trouble not ordering the Apocalypse Fish and Chips and a house salad with gorgonzola every time -- and the menu is full of enticing things. My wife always gets the Caesar with grilled salmon - so good too. The beer is also awesome. I tend to order whatever is seasonal and on nitro and have never been disappointed. Flavorful, strong beers. As an added bonus, the atmosphere is always congenial and lively. Great patio with a roaring fire that they keep going all winter -- makes for a pleasant place to have a beer while you wait for a table on busy weekend nights. read more

A brewpub in Bend is always a favorite stop for us after another day of Central Oregon adventure. 10 Barrel is becoming one of our favorites. The beers take second place only to Deschutes for us, the seating options include indoor, outdoor or half in/half out, and the food choices include some variety from the usual pub fare (like the smoked salmon antipasto). While we expect pubs to be noisy, they do have more of a problem with this than usual. Even with all the doors open, the loud foursome next to us drowned out our attempts at conversation. Some acoustic tiles have been added to the ceiling, but more needs to be done to lower the decibels. We had great service which was attentive and quick, and have had it the other two times we have been there. read more

Average beer at best. I sat for 15 plus minutes before the bartender asked "what'll ya have?" Slammin' busy on a Sunday at 5pm, nice neighborhood atmosphere on a beautiful Bend summer afternoon/early evening. So I replied "how 'bout a menu." So he gave me the beer menu. Half the beers were out, maybe they should call it 5 barrel. So I ordered an IPA and a hamburger. The burger was excellent, really it was. If the rest of the menu is that good it's probably one of the best restaurants in Bend; but I never saw the menu. And that's all this place is, a restaurant. Why was the bartender(one of two) making mojitos? Thought I was in a brewery. Where's the beer bro? The beer tastes... meh off. And that was after my eight hour drive to get to Bend. An average beer would normally taste like the nectar of the gods after driving from the SF Bay Area to Bend, OR. IPA was bland, Ale was worse(think caramel color and water). If you want a beer in Bend head to Deschutes or Bend brew co. Want a great burger (and a cosmo?) within walking distance of the river? There are already 20 other places to go, including some real breweries(minus the cosmo). On the positive sign this place proves that if you need a job just open restaurant in Bend, call it a brewery, and you'll pack in the suckers. read more

The beer is great, no question about it. The bartender was a complete d***chebag. I went up to bar to close out tab, bartender looks me straight in the eye and asks "what can I get you?", "I'd like to close my tab." He literally walks away and starts doing something else. I figured he remembered my last name and was going to close me out while getting someone else's order. He serves a couple other people, comes back, asks me what I'd like again, "here to close my tab". He walks away and starts serving someone else, again. No joke. Comes back a 3rd time, finally acknowledges me by asking the other bartender to close me out. It's too bad because 10 Barrel Brewing seems to be OK other than this washed up 40 yr old bartender with a chip on his shoulder who is ruining it for them. We love this place to bring friends/family from out of town and especially the too die for (literally because they are covered in cheese & bacon) steak nachos!! Everything though is SO good and staff is amazingly friendly!! Love the vibe with the out door fire and don't even mind the wait because you can just grab a beer and relax! Great atmosphere in downtown Bend. They had some of the best New York style pizza I've had on the west coast. Only $19 for a huge 18" pizza with 2 toppings, which is a damn good deal for a brewpub, especially for the quality. Also about 12 top quality beers on tap, bartenders running like crazy but still attentive and friendly. Be ready for a wait but it's a great place to hang out on a nice evening. We were able to grab one of three 4-top tables in the bar after hanging out there for about 45 minutes on a summer Friday night, this was after being told it'd be an hour and a half wait for a table. read more

I made my 1st trip to 10 barrel brewing company for lunch. I have heard the buzz about the place so my expectations were pretty high. Usually in that case it is hard to really be fair since the build up usually causes a unfair let down...This was not the case at all! My impression was that they have a amazing location and the set up of the restuarant was very cool. The atmosphere in that place is also cool, it seemed very laid back but tastefully done. I was also pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff was and also very helpful. When I looked at the Menu I was impressed they had Mac & Cheese since that is one of my favorite foods. I ordered the Mac & Cheese and I must say it was amazing. It was worth ordering and the price is very reasonable. The Management and waite staff were so interested in my experience and when I took some of my food to go they had no bags but a waitress made me a swan out of tin foil, creative and classy touch for a brewery. I would recommend this place to anyone I come accross and I am going to make that a place I will go to when I go out. While I waited for my food I was talking to the bartender and he was such a cool guy and generally took interest in my day and how I was doing even though I did not even have a drink. Plus for any guys out there, the waitresses are not only beautiful but they are so friendly and fun. Especially Jaimie who is not only beautiful but just a genuinely nice person. I believe she also works at Kanpai, another place I would recommend. I have to give Kudos to 10 barrel for the experience because they now have a advocate for their great place. I would never go to Bend and not eat here. I love their food and drinks so much I went two nights in a row just to eat the same meal! Their servers are awesome and fun, I like the atmosphere especially the fire pit outside. It's a classy cozy feel without being over priced. Really liked the open, industrial atmosphere; staff was friendly and accommodating; I love to try different beers, but should've asked for a taste, my choice was meh ( my fault). I liked my experience here. I had lunch a few days ago on business. The outside patio looked really cool. It was cold so I sat at the bar. I ordered the "Pray for Snow" winter beer. Great! Malty and hoppy-very flavorful. It was so good, I bought a 12 pack to go. They sell bottles and growlers to go. For lunch I had the fish and chips. Very good. Nice portion of fish and the fries were crispy. For "dessert", I had a pint of their seasonal Pale ale. A little lower in alcohol but lots of hops added in. It tasted similar to a Drakes 1500 if you are a beer geek. Bartender-serve was very nice. I plan on coming back here with the wifey next time. As for the 1 star ratings for this place? Read them. They seem to be a bunch of cry babies that don't like the fact that 10 Barrel sold to a large brewer. Who the heck do they think they are telling someone how they should run their damn business? We really enjoyed sitting by the fire and chatting with the other customers, most of whom were local. Several people had their dogs and we're dog people so it was a lot of fun. The beer was great for those of us wanting to experience Bend's favorite offering and they also had a few decent wine choices for those of us less into beer. We walked away smelling like campfire but we enjoyed our experience very much and having recently moved to Bend, this will be a place we frequent. read more

I love this place - great staff, great atmosphere and excellent food! Their vegan options are all really good and they're totally alright with changing things up for you if you request it. Last time we were in their beer list was a little lacking - just not enough variety. But, the beers they do have are very tasty. Definitely one of my favorite places to stop into in Bend. read more

A solid 4 stars. We originally tried to come here around 5PM and the place was packed. While I thought it was because of Central Oregon Beer Week, we later learned that it's just always this way. One possible reason is the 10 Barrel Sampler...that's right ladies and gentlemen. 10 beers, 10 bucks, 10 ounces of awesome. I seriously loved every single beer. German Sparkle Party was memorable and delicious, and I think we're all obsessed with Swill, 10 Barrel's take on the German Radler. Traditionally made with half beer and have sprite (or some form of lemon lime soda), 10 Barrel's Swill is a fun take on this - they start with nearly 10% ABV and cut in the flavors so you still have a fully alcoholic, and ever more fully delicious beer to enjoy. The food was decent - Eric's burger actually was delicious and I took more than my fair share of bites. My tuna sandwich was OK - but overall, a solid 4 and I'd go back for more beer! Best brewery I've ever been to...simply awesome! Menu had a great variety and the pizzas were delish. I loved the fact that I couldn't decide between 2 pizzas and the server suggested doing half/half. I didn't even know that was an option - it was perfect! I had the Palm Springs (seasonal/special) and the pesto prosciutto. They were soooo good! As for beers...they were by far better than Deschutes. Out of 6 beers on their sampler, I liked 1 - 10 barrel gave 10 beers on their sampler and i loved every single one. Ambiance was absolutely fantastic...outdoor fire was unique and the inside was packed. I sat at the large family style table...which I loved. Ended up chatting with a couple next to me. Service was really, really good and the price was right. This brewery is doing everything right...I can't think of anything it could do better. It is my favorite brewery now and I will recommend to all my friends that ever go to Bend, OR! read more
