We didn't expect much when we arrived, but it was pretty good! The Cobb Salad was fresh and good and the fish in the Fish and Chips was crispy! The waitress was friendly and attentive! The restaurant is located in an old train station, which was quite cool! Overall a good spot to stop at after a day at the lake!

Came here for dinner and greatly enjoyed it! I had a cheese steak which was delicious. The portion sizes were large and prices were affordable for the amount of food served. My friends had fish & chips and chicken tenders and fries which they also claimed were very tasty! It is a very spacious restaurant with a large bar in one section. Our server was nice and gave us suggestions on what places were possibly open after 10pm to have some drinks. If I were ever in the area I would be back to try other dishes.

They are doing a wonderful job, and I am so, so glad they didn't come and go like the other restaurants in that spot before it. You probably knew that from the other reviews, but I have another reason I am writing this. I came here with my husband one night months ago, and he got a cocktail that had cherry and bourbon as the main flavors. I stole most of it from him :D. It was so good that every time I get another cocktail somewhere else, even if it is good, I just wish it was the cherry bourbon one. So, if you're there and they still have it on the menu, I suggest you get it. And if the establishment is reading this, my vote is to keep that one around.

We got our little buzzer and we were told to stay within a half mile. We sat outside across the street on a bench. We watched numerous groups of 3+ go in and not come back out, which means they were seated. When, after 40 minutes, we were called in, none of those groups were at the bar. Kinda makes you wonder. We ordered cokes. $5 each and got refills, but when the bill came was shocked to be charged for every refill! We spent more on cups of Coke than the actual effing meal!!! Ordered the steak medium. It was rare. Oh well, was hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. But it was good. Buffalo chicken cheese curd fries were good, but chicken was dry. The cheesecake was not tasty at all. The burger was "mid," according to my son.

The zucchini fritters tasted so close to my grandmother's that right there and then, they had my heart (and my stomach). We had to wait a while for our main courses and the restaurant started to clear out. We were getting worried about time as we wanted dessert too but didn't want to be those people keeping staff there. The waitress came over and apologized about the wait and said they'd be taking care of our entrees! That's the way you do it. Before we could even complain or say anything they recognized the issue and made it right on the spot. The entrees were well worth the wait as was the dessert. Very impressed!

We thought they'd be closed when we were staying, but we were happily wrong, so we had the pleasure of eating some great food for dinner. Plus, as a hotel guest, they gave us a coupon for a free appetizer, which we used and enjoyed !! For the appetizer, we chose (and shared) the pan-seared crab cakes that came with charred corn succotash, sliced apple and fennel micro salad, cara cara orange and basil aioli. It was delicious. For our entrees, my husband chose the Citrus Brined Grilled Pork Porterhouse, which included smoked gouda polenta, chipotle, crispy artichokes, charred scallion & toasted pepitas salsa verde. I ordered the Roasted Statler Chicken, which came with Saffron risotto, romesco, charred broccolini, and lined with a slight amount of chili oil. We also ordered a side of mashed potatoes infused with Cabot Creamery cheddar cheese, as well as some broccolini. All our food was delicious, especially those cheesy mashed potatoes, but unfortunately, we couldn't eat all our food, and nor could we save it. Boo-hoo. We both would've had enough left over for a second meal. Easily. I hate wasting food. There was no way we had room for dessert, so our meal ended with very full tummies and the enjoyment of well prepared entrees. There is a bit of historic significance to this restaurant. There is a reason it's called Grant's. The wrap around wooden bar top supposedly was restored from Harlem, New York where President Ulysses S. Grant MAY HAVE sat, drank and possibly smoked cigars. There are still old cigar burns left in the wood ! Regardless if it's legend or fact, it's a beautiful bar sitting in this fine restaurant. Go find out for yourself !

It was a gorgeous day and we were able to sit outside, which I really enjoyed. They were umbrellas above us, which were much needed when it started to drizzle! Especially when the table sat down next to us and everything they wanted or was his favorite too. We were disappointed that the one thing we wanted on the menu was not available for food. They're mocktails were a normal price and their cocktails were a little pricey, but well worth it for the craft that they were doing. I enjoyed both of the cocktails that I had, although was disappointed that they didn't have the monkey brains cocktail that I wanted anymore. Both drinks were delicious, prepared well, and were aesthetically pleasing as well. I wish the Eggnogstic was a little larger - I think it was about 3 ounces? The Hot Buttered Yum was served in an oversized mug. The vibe here was great - perfect place for couples, a girls night, or just friends out for a before dinner or after dinner drink. I loved that it was busy enough, but still quiet enough for a conversation.

The Turkey Bacon Avocado with cheddar cheese and pickled red onions is fresh, tasty, easy to eat - a favorite. Panuozzo is an interesting creation using sourdough pizza to wrap around fresh burrata, roasted garlic cloves, roasted red peppers and pesto - the burrata is super fresh and rich type of mozzarella but sandwich is very messy (both hands and face) and we reeked of garlic afterwards. We would order the Panuozzo again but probably leave off the garlic. Bahn Mi is an interpretation of a classic Vietnamese Bahn Mi - it is tasty but contained no cucumbers, less cilantro and pickled carrots/daikon plus the gravy made the bread soggy.
