Great dining experience here on a girls trip. The food was so delicious and service was also great from the very nice hostess to the wait staff. Standouts from our meals include the shrimp fritters, poutine, pork chops, salmon, chicken, mashed potatoes and filet mignon. We literally loved everything we ate here. Highly recommend this place for dinner!

Whether you're a guest at the hotel or staying nearby this restaurant and bar is a great bet!! Full bar and good selection of beer and wine. The bar top was brought in and restored from Harlem and has fabulous history. (look for old cigar burns....president Grant himself may have sat there.) Food: Great food, small menu that changes seasonally. Poutine is great to start with ! Great views from the restaurant of the hills, perfect place to relax and eat after a long day skiing. The staff is lovely and very helpful. Will be back for sure.

The fam & I finally stopped after driving past hundreds of times and loooved it! The crab cakes were insane, perfectly crispy with very little breading. The filet & salmon equally as amazing. We sat inside, but there were probably 8-10 tables outside and it started pouring, the staff handled it great, bringing everyone in without disrupting those dining inside. The staff was super chill, yet professional! My only grips is that I'd like to see a larger wine list.

The food was outstanding! We had mussels and hamachi crudo. Both were fresh and delicious. Service was inattentive.

Loved the poutine, gravy was really good. Good cocktail! Also, loved the salmon. My guest said stuffed fish was decent.

2025 Favorite Find Reservation is strongly recommended…read more Finally checked off TT after over a year and it was definitely worth it! The Tillerman is located about 5 minutes from downtown Bristol. The restaurant is inside an inn that is popular for their outdoor weddings. +++. Ambiance is idillic Vermont farm inn. Beautiful grounds and surprisingly large restaurant. The restaurant feels intimate as it is divided into many rooms. They have a wood burning oven for their pizzas. We sat in an intimate nook with a view of their front garden. +++. Food is new American and pizze. Interesting, creative and insanely delicious cuisine. +++ beef tartare - first tartare I've consumed more than a bite! +. Shrimp skewer- perfect temp but a little fishy for me. Others liked it though ++. Green salad - loved the presentation and tasty. Though flavorful, some bread crumbs were gravelly. Will skip bread crumbs next time. +++. Funghi pizza - fragrant blue oyster mushrooms on thin sourdough (they use a mix of several flours) crust. Though the bread crumbs are reminiscent of bacon bits, will skip it next time. Even so, the best mushroom pizza eva! ++. Orange sunrise mocktail was sweet and refreshing ++. Price is high but oh, so worth it! Very good value for the quality +++. Service is attentive and informative. Ian, our waiter was great! ++. Parking is a private lot TT is my new favorite resto in VT replacing HOTW. They are mindful and don't use seed oils and support local producers. TT is truly a farm to table resto that delivers interesting dishes beyond their delicious pizze. MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane -- Disgusted - Don't bother =. Missed the Mark +. Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE... WHERE have you bee my LiFe!

I was lured here because someone said it was better than Bistro de Margo; it was not. Service was good from the server and poor from the bus boys and kitchen. The kitchen failed in many ways. Could I give it fractional scorse it would be 2.6. The server was good and had a phenomenal memory to take all our orders with no notes. Wow! The three appetizers were delivered out of order. One came. Fast forward 20 minutes; the remaining two came out. The appetizer dishes were never cleared. They hung around until we decided not to have desert! The appetizers were underwhelming; how can you screw up a Caesar salad? The main courses disappointed in many ways. The dishes were serverd luke warm. Mussels were dehydrated on top of the heap and obvioulsy sat under a heat map. The steaks were cooked well but accompaniments were cold, cool, or barely warm; take your pick none were appetizing. The plates were stone cold which didn't help. Finally after dinner was served and eaten and plates cleared for deserts we did not order the remaining plates and debis were cleared from the table. Not good. Not professional. Not worth the money. The wines were good. The beer was good. Dinner came to $275 plus another $60 tip. It wasn't worth it. There is clealry issues in the kitchen and staff. They were simply not into it. I would not come back. If you want a French dinner look elsewhere or just don't try that in Burlington.

The poutine was very good, but I'll grant you that it's maybe hard to get that wrong - but their gravy is on point! Service was great - got there around 5:40pm on a Wednesday, so the wait was non-existent and a table for 5 was easy to accommodate. Duncan was the server, who disclosed that he was new but you wouldn't know it from how he took orders and brought food out. Even threw him a curve by asking for the steak frites with an additional side of brussel sprouts, which he handled no problem - even though there weren't any sides I saw on the menu. Steak was medium rare and perfectly seasoned, and I think I mentioned the chimichurri but it deserves additional mention. Maybe you're wondering about beverages. The maple lemonade is great - it leans harder on the tart side and there are sweeter options around (Cliff House) but I love a lemonade that tastes... lemony. Pineapple cherry punch was also a hit - but that's secondhand hearsay, unlike my direct opinion on the chimichurri - which I would drink if I could. Definitely check this place out. The table near ours seemed to immensely enjoy their meal and also get great service from Duncan.

They use the Yelp waitlist, but I couldn't join it until we showed up to the restaurant, which was a little confusing. We ended up sitting at the counter by the wood fire, which was neat to watch. Our server (Jenn) was awesome. My drink was very pricy ($18), but it was pretty tasty. Everything was absolutely delicious - we got a Mac & cheese and 2 burgers with fries. I love that it's all farm-to-table. Would absolutely eat here again and *highly* recommend it.

Every bit of food was prepared just right. We did eat a pineapple salad that was so fresh and crisp and not overly dressed, which was on the Specials menu. The coup de grâce was the dessert. The ice cream of the day, which was an maple gingersnap flavor was outstanding, and carrot cake was hands down the best I have had in my life! Con - none of the 4 of us even liked our meals - they were inedible. We descended the narrow steep staircase into the dark dining room; outdoor seating was not open. The waitress promptly brought us menus and waters. There was a good variety of wines and we settled on the Sancerre. Charging for bread is not a good trend so $10 for 4 Parker House Rolls was disappointing. We also ordered the mussels and asiago fries. The chef seems to favor creamy white wine sauces - the added cream adds a heavy taste without adding flavor. The shrimp & sausage on mushroom ravioli had the cream sauce and cubes of sausage. The pasta primavera also had the cream sauce. It was super bland. We added chicken (see the photo of the chicken breast added to the top side of the dish not cooked in the dish). The salmon and its corresponding carrots were spiced with bebere which is very mild but not particularly enjoyable. And finally, the grilled rib-eye was bad, really bad. It was gelatinous and the worst steak we've ever had. I've only ever seen a steak cooked like this when it's cooked at too low a heat. We fed the leftover steak, chicken, and salmon to the dog.
