Would definitely recommend the lobster with sticky rice (theres crispy rice bits and plenty of wok hay). Its $25 per lobster and $15 per rice portion. Super huge portions, cannot emphasize that enough. Could definitely have shared 3 main dishes for four people. Lamb chops are tender (sauce version), seafood stir fry had mushroom, sea urchin meat, squid, etc. Very happy with food quality and everyone enjoyed something we ordered. The google reviews gave me a warning that there were high suspicious ratings, I can see there is a discrepancy and was lured here by bad buisness practices. The first thing that started was the server's attitude was far from good. I am pretty upset that I got her as a server. We just sat down and was told by her the dishes from the kitchen would take longer. As a guest I am very confused why I NEED to be stressed out by that??? Instead speak to your kitchen manager about that NOT your guest. This set a tone for the dinner. In the middle of the dinner, she was very lazy and told me to put the dishes I wanted to change with the entrees on the spinner but then walked away??? So in the middle of the table with the entrees, we got dishes with bones just spinning around the table. As well, she yelled in my ear as talking indoor volume. Adjust to your client, clearly I am talking to you in a lower volume where we both can hear what is said, I do not need you yelling. No one attends to the restroom unless asked to, what I saw before the meal came out had me messed up for dinner. The tone of the dinner was not right to start and was upsetting after spending all day to make sure we got there safely. The food my partner and I ordered was solid Cantonese-style food. I don't recommend going as a party of 2 though, lol. I'd recommend this for large groups (they have huge tables!!) and for a special occasion. The menu is extensive that I was impressed. A lot of dishes you'd see at a banquet or fancy dinner. We came for dinner, so very limited dim sum was available at the time. We did order har gow, and that was good. Service was okay. There was staff that lurked around tables, and they keep the pink ticket of what was ordered on the table to track (and then to bill at the end). I think ~5 different folks checked around our ticket, especially when we were waiting on two more dishes, but didnt do anything, and finally one person went to check in the back. All of this was done without saying a word to us. We didn't mind; we were too busy munching on the food that was already served to us haha. It was just interesting to observe this. I want to love this place because we desperately need places like this to continue the livelihood and culture of Chinatown alive. It's also great for residents in the neighborhood to have a spot to hang out at. Unfortunately, because it's one of the few larger, banquet-style dining areas, it's a madhouse. Be ready to be nudged by anyone and everyone and wait a bit for a table. Space is quite tight in the waiting area and so are the tables. It was just pure chaos. Once you're seated, just try to get comfy because tables are also tight if you come in a large group. Flagging down staff can be challenging. You can see how overworked they are but are managing their best. Food is alright. Standard fare. My favorite at these restaurants are the pineapple roast pork bun but it's not good here. Odd shape, filling isn't there. Very lackluster. Not bad if Wu's Wonton is busy but it is crazy hectic here. read more

Some of the dim sum dishes are good but some are sub-par, such as the piggy custard buns and the Ma Lai Go (Malay cake). Those were quite terrible. I also really disliked it when some random guy (who's on staff and probably management because he went into the kitchen multiple times, but he's not in uniform) took video footage of us when we were ordering. He never asked for consent and just came over and started recording, we were left speechless. I saw him doing that with other tables as well, sometimes as their orders came out from the kitchen. I've been hearing a lot of great things about this new dim sum place so we finally made it out. The restaurant itself is on the second floor and we went on Friday at around 9:15am. They open at 9 so it was pretty empty at that time. By 10am, the place was filling up quick. But don't worry, it's pretty roomy and big. We ordered the typical items, spare ribs, siu mai, congee, short ribs, etc. I wanted rice noodles but we were a bit too early as most of the food started coming out at 10 something. I will admit that their siu mai was probably some of the best I've had. Everything was super fresh. The service was a bit lacking and I had to ask for hot sauce several times. My friend suggested this new dim sum restaurant on East Broadway in Chinatown. I was excited because I never say no to dim sum. The restaurant is on the second floor. The decor is modern with a high-end ambient lighting and crystal (looking) chandelier. My poor friend took a bite into the har gow (shrimp dumpling) and immediately notice hair inside the dumpling. She flagged down the waiter and showed him immediately. He was apologetic and took the remainder har gow (4 in one order) away and said he will replace it. The replacement he brought us was cold. Before you ask, I wish I reacted quickly and took a picture. It happened so fast and I was in shock. Needless to say, we pretty much lost our appetite after that. We quickly finish up and ask for the check. They didn't offer to take the item off the check or have a manager come by our table to say something- anything! It was business as usual for them. The dishes we had before the "hair in dumplings" incident was average. The fried dough in the rice roll was over-fried. The chicken feet was okay, nothing memorable. Definitely NOT coming back again. A brand new dim sum restaurant with rooftop views and reasonable prices? Why not check it out? In fact, I came here twice with family and once with friends already. The first time we came, we sat on the second floor with modern decor and high ceilings. Although the tables are on the cozier side, that's expected given its Manhattan location. The second time we came on Mother's Day to celebrate with family, we got a table on the third floor with rooftop views. Overall, the dim sum here is easily above average by NYC standards. What made this place more appealing is that the prices are quite reasonable (some options are below $5) given the quality and that it's brand new. I usually judge the quality of dim sum at a place through their shrimp cheong fun (rice rolls). Are the shrimps plump and evenly spread out underneath rice rolls that are fresh and not too doughy? Their version definitely passed my test. Other dim sum dishes that we enjoyed including roasted pork buns, beef short ribs, and chicken feet. They also offered some lunch specials including a lobster vermicelli that's served piping hot in a large metal bowl. The lobster pieces were quite plump and weren't heavily coated with batter, allowing the sweetness of the lobster to come through. The vermicelli was filled with the flavor it soaked from the bowl. The service was fairly attentive overall. One time we sat on the stage in the back. Yet, several of the dim sum carts still circulated our way. This is definitely a solid addition to this part of Chinatown, further expanding dim sum restaurant options in the neighborhood. read more

We celebrated a birthday at this restaurant which opened just a few weeks ago. We heard good things about it. Located on the edge of Chinatown, in Lower Manhattan, it was located on the second floor of a building that replaced a Mobil Station some years back. We took an elevator up. The restaurant is spacious, especially for this location. Sparkly and brightly lit. Known mostly for its dim sum service, we were here for dinner Sunday evening. The table setting was elegantly decorated. Mirrors and chandeliers adorned the dining room, overlooking Pike Street. Service was quick and attentive, but on that Sunday evening it was not busy. We had the set menu priced at $588. Instead of the first course sashimi, it was substituted, prepared cooked geoduck with vegetabkes and bean sprouts. The braised young pigeon, (squab) was served in a broth, very different. The broth had chunks of coconuts. He silver pomfret was substituted for another fish species, that I found to be delicious. The Cantonese style lobster was very tasty, abd prepared a bit differently from what I am used to. Strangely enough, although the restaurant has been open for a few weeks, the carpet looks like it has taken a multi year beating. We all enjoyed this dining experience. read more

New Dim Sum in Manhattan! I went a few days prior to opening and again two weeks later and enjoyed the dim I ate. Both times I went early in the morning on Sunday and I didn't have a problem with getting seating with the old grannies and grandpas, nor did I have an issue with getting the dim sum I wanted. Everything was piping hot and the service was attentive. If I could complain, it's because they don't have mustard which I now have to have with my dim sum because a Yelp friend turned me on to that condiment and now I can't live without it! A few notable dishes I'd say include the Sui Mai, Fung Jao, and Har Gow. I especially enjoy the Sui Mai here because it have mushrooms in it and it's a big porky bite. The Fung Jao was a huge portion the first time I went and was noticeably less the second time though. It's a little pricey but it's shiny and new and hopefully it sticks around because there aren't too many great dim sum in Manhattan's Chinatown anymore. read more

Pretty glass ceiling adornments throughout. - Solid dimsum: Love and recommend the Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf, Beef Tripe/Offal, Beef Balls, Pan-Fried Chive Dumpling, Shrimp Red Rice Roll (I've never had this dish before, and it was amazing! A repeat order!). The elderly couple we shared the table with ordered the Ribs over Rice Roll with extra sauce, and that looked delicious. We were seated at a table on the far end and it took us more than 20 mins to flag down a dim sum cart for food. We also didn't appreciate that they tried to charge us tax and told us that did not accept credit card payments (cash only) when others beside us were getting a cash discount. Later, the server also told us we undertipped and needed to tip more. I thought it was quite rude. the seating situation was also a bit cramped and people kept squeezing behind me to get to their seats. For the same price and better service + food, I recommend going to Golden Unicorn down the street or to House of Joy. The meal came out to be about $25 per person. read more

I've been pretty excited to try this place out since seeing some posts online. We came by on a Saturday morning and it was packed with Chinese (elderly) people, which felt like a good sign. While hectic like a typical dim sum restaurant, the hostess at the front was pretty kind and helpful. However, after getting seated, the service was lacklustre - there weren't many carts going around, the ones that did wouldn't always stop by the table, and we ended up needing to resort to physically walking up to the carts ourselves and bringing food back to our own table. We saw many other tables doing the same, so unfortunately this wasn't an individual experience just based on the position of our table. After manually grabbing most of the dishes we wanted to try, we also placed an order for a couple other dishes directly with a waitress, who said she'd send that to the kitchen. After waiting about 10 minutes, she came by and apologized because she had forgotten to send in the order - not ideal, but during the hectic weekend rush hour, it was understandable and we appreciated her confirming she'd send it ASAP. After another 15 minutes of waiting, she said she'd check with the kitchen on what was taking so long. It wasn't until a second check in with the kitchen again 10 minutes after that, that she told us the kitchen didn't have our items available. At that point, we were pretty frustrated. Overall, the food was good - not better than the other plethora of dim sum options in the area, but also nothing to complain about. It ended up being about 15 minutes, because we were fine with sharing a table. We had one of the inside rooms, so it was quiet. They also has snow pea shoot shrimp dumplings, mixed mushroom shrimp dumplings, seafood shrimp dumplings, and some a variety of other "new" things. The price point wasn't bad, we got more than the pictures captured and there was 4 of us. We were stuffed and it came out to $91 before tip, which wasn't too bad. The dim sum was a major disappointment. The rice noodles tasted reheated and the color was not pearly translucent white but an unappetizing gray. The tripe was cut too coarsely and was too chewy. Sticky rice was compressed and dry and also tasted like yesterday's leftovers. Servers fast but couldn't keep up with clearing the tables. There are so many better dim sum places in Chinatown. There wasn't much variety in the dim sum and it was the same 3 carts that were rotating around the restaurant with the food looking sad and not replenished often. Though it was fairly busy on a weekday I'm not sure why they didn't have more to try. The tea was also very weak and the space was cold. There is better dim sum than this in Manhattan.
