Well, we thought about over lunch and just decided to just purchase a chair. Terri showed us the options and let us just try out the chairs on our own time. We never felt rushed. It was obviously more than we originally thought of doing, but we are sure we won't regret it in the future. The only thing that didn't make us happy, and why this isn't four stars, was the price tag. We picked the chair we liked best & thought the price was what was on the tag. There were options below the big price, like heat & massage, which were things that could be added to the base. Oh, but the material that the chair used was on that list (which we didn't realize because it was not a common name). It was not in the large number on the price tag and added $900 to the price. We didn't know this until we were checking out. We do not blame Terri for this, but the company that thought this was a good idea. The tag should have had the final price, before taxes & delivery not the base price if you could buy it off of the floor like we did.

Anyone who has ever experienced a medical emergency knows time is of the essence, so when my once mobile mom came home from the hospital (and couldn't walk), we were scared and helpless. I called Elite Home Medical Supply on a Saturday morning (of Memorial Day weekend) to inquire about Hoyer Lifts. Mark answered and told me he could deliver one Tuesday. After telling him about our situation, he made some adjustments, and delivered the lift with his son, Jake, that same afternoon. To add to that, they both stayed to give us a tutorial while we practiced using the lift with my sister-in-law. After that, my sister-in-law went to the store to purchase a commode and bedside table. I told my partner we were going to see what that was, and I turned the car around, pulled into the small retail mall, and at the end of the mall was a business called, "Mobility City." We went in, and I was greeted by Geoff, the owner, and his service man who works on the wheelchairs. We talked a bit on what needed to be done on my wheelchair. The service man took it to the back of the store, steam cleaned it, tightened up the "wiggle," and replaced the two arm rests. A really great improvement for a tune up! Feels light new!! I was really impressed by his customer skills, and the eagerness he had for getting me back my wheelchair in tiptop shape! Quite by accident I found this place, and I'm very glad I did, because I did not think that there were any mobility Wheelchair stores in the area. The store is a modest size, and deals with a few different types of mobility services, including mobile wheelchairs WHICH ONE CAN RENT if need be! I am so glad I found this shop. The repair prices were decent, the replacement parts were affordable, and he was able to look at his inventory to see if other parts on my wheelchair could be replaced. I heartily recommend anyone who has mobility assisted devices to seriously check him out. I was very pleased with his service, and I now know if I need any parts for my wheelchair, he's right there to help.

I purchased a Pride Jazzy 27X powered wheelchair in February, 2026 from Geoff at Midwest for $3100…read morecash including tax. The sales receipt notes a $100 discount "for nondelivery" (we took it with us) and a $567 "cash discount." It was a demo but essentially like new due to its being a recently released model from the Pride Corp. Also included in the selling price was a removable cupholder and "complimentary in-store labor" for one year. Several strong positives were experienced while shopping. Geoff has a very nicely configured and stocked store. There is plenty of room for customers to test-drive the various powered chairs. Geoff did not at any point pressure us to buy a chair. He knew his merchandise extremely well and pointed out pros and cons of each of the various chairs we considered. Several helpful suggestions were given regarding the chair we purchased. Finally, Geoff is quite likeable and has excellent people and selling skills. My only issue with Midwest Mobility was pricing. The chair's tagged price was $3699, a full $600 above what the same chair is selling for on Amazon, at other local dealers, and at many on-line dealers. I compared Geoff's price on another chair with those of a couple of other dealers and again found Midwest to be the highest price. I was able to buy for below Geoff's asking price partly because I paid cash but mostly because I knew in advance what the chair was selling for elsewhere. My advice to potential customers is to look but don't buy before you check prices at other dealers and Amazon, which may be lower than Midwest's. Then, if need be, you will be in a much better position to negotiate the purchase price of your mobility device from Midwest.

The pickup went without a hitch but i had some issues delivering the equipment back on time since the return date ended up being on a snowstorm and since I was still not able to drive, i was depending on some help to drop it off. So, i called and reached out to them and they had zero issues giving me some flexibility and allowing me to drop it off a few days later (from Saturday to Monday). I ended up dropping it off Monday but the staff was out for lunch and my ride couldn't wait so I called them and they directed me to leave it for them since they would be returning later that hour. There was no extra charges for any inconvenience and they were just so supportive and caring. I cannot recommend them enough so if you're in need of anything at all, this should be your one-stop-shop.

Working so closely with me and my doctors from Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Blue Cross, Kasia was able to navigate us through a process that can oftentimes be grueling, in an expedient manner. Kasia then worked closely with Johnny to assess exactly what type chair would best suit my needs, from features to material for the seat to the color. Finally gave up and went to another vendor. Never did get the wheelchair.
