I'm giving it 2 stars because the drinks (Citrus Marmalade and Lemon-drop Martini) we're delicious, but the food was sadly unimpressive. I had friends visit this restaurant when they first opened and they raved about their experience, but our food had very little flavor and just not up to the standards of competing restaurants in Charleston. My husband had the 1010 steak which had little flavor and lacked the "cast iron seared" texture you would expect from the 30$ priced steak. I had the Shrimp and Grits, the grist were flavorful and the texture was correct, but the shrimp was overly cooked. We finished off the dinner with the Peaches and Cream Brûlée which had very little peaches or taste. However, our waitress was super sweet and accommodating throughout our meal. read more

Looked for new restaurant in Charleston for a 65th BD dinner. 1010 Bridge Road Restaurant was a diamond in the ruff. Little pricy for most but great for special occasions. We started with the White Cheddar Pimento Cheese 8. (5 star) Next was a 1010 Caesar 11 correct portion dressing wow (5 star) Entree Dijon-Dill Crusted Chilean Salmon 29 we added shrimp to one & scallops to the other. Served with garden veggies and small potatoes filled with a cream cheese sauce. Best Salmon we have ever had. (5 Star) Dessert I had Peaches & Cream 9 bread pudding with ice cream (5 Star) My husband ordered Cheesecake he took one bite and then 3 drinks of water. I tasted it and told him it tasted burnt. He said, "don't say anything our dinner was great." I agreed but how can a Chef correct something if he or she does not know. As for service (5 Star) Ambiance was (4 Star) Small place but they do an excellent job at placing people. I would give a 4.5 but not possible on yelp. Take time to check out 1010 Bridge Road Restaurant you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to trying another night of great food and relaxed evening. Came here for dinner before I went back to Cali as all my friends all raved about it!! Kara was our server and was most attentive, polite and accommodating. Both the service and the food were impeccable! My family had zero complaints, just talked about how amazing the food was with every bite! My mom and I had dirty Tito's vodka martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives which were also made to perfection. Just the right amount of dirty! This was actually the best restaurant I've been to in my life. The food's amazing, the atmosphere is incredible, and by the way so is everyone who works there. So it literally took me 24 hours to gather my thoughts on this restaurant, first by far, it is the best restaurant in the Charleston WV area, it so amazing it took me 24 hours to gather my thoughts ! First, my daughter and son in law, who are regulars, took my husband and I out for our 40th anniversary, they knew we wouldn't go out for a fancy dinner on our own! When I first walked in I was like wow! The decor, the ambiance, the vibe, I was like ok! My daughter reserved a booth in the back, highly recommend a reservation! We started with two apps, the pork belly (omg) and shrimp cocktail, excellent, my husband and I both got the short rib, my son in law got the 1010 and my daughter got the bolganese, everything was over the top delicious, like amazing, this a 100% a 5 star restaurant! The only thing I would say is if you are lactose intolerant, like me, you are a little limited on choices because everything has a lot of dairy, but that's a small thing, not an issue with the restaurant, just an issue for me, oh and dessert!! We had an amazing date night. The service is fantastic, we sat at the bar where Dereck and Josiah did an amazing job taking care of us. It was a very busy night and considering how many mixed drinks they were making for everyone I believe they deserve a shout out for how great they were. The food was fantastic, my husband and I both got the cast iron seared with lobster macaroni. Both our steaks were cooked to perfection. We also got the crispy fried Nashville oysters for an appetizer which was really yummy and not too filling before the meal. I had the chocolate orange martini to start with and my husband had the 1010 scout- we both really enjoyed our summer mixed drinks. With our meal we had a bottle of their red blend and it was so great. So great food, great service, great drinks and a great wine list. I give it 3 stars because our drinks were excellent and the apps were good and our server was friendly. Had the cheese dip and crackers which was fine and the hot oysters that were very good. After that it was not what we expected on our first visit with so much hype going on about the food. We had surf and turf, steak was ordered medium rare and came well done but the macaroni was fine. The other meal was the special that night some monkfish and pasta. It was absolutely terrible. The fish wasn't seasoned and was served on some cold spaghetti with a thin watery sweet sauce on it and some shrimp that seemed to be cooked for about 3 days. Dessert had a burnt crust and and wasn't very flavorful otherwise. Maybe expectations were too high but we probably won't bother with 1010 again. read more

Love it! My absolute favorite restaurant in Charleston! The menu is thoughtful with unique items and combinations you won't find elsewhere in the area. Some of my favorite items are the griddle cakes, the pimiento cheese, the 1010 cut, the short rib bolognese, and the chocolate trifle. The specials are usually excellent as well. But you really can't go wrong with anything you get! If you're not sure, ask your server - the staff are professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant is small and is usually very busy, so if you don't want to sit at the bar, I recommend making a reservation at least a week in advance. read more

Great things come in small packages. First time diner with my family for our daughter's birthday. Taylor was our waitress, she was wonderful. The ambiance, with light jazz playing, sounded as if it were live music. Started our meal off with the charcuterie board, fantastic. This was followed with house salad, and then our entrees. Everything was delicious. Menu is a la carte (which is just fine by me). A nice wine list accommodating all price ranges. Didn't hit the "brown liquor" but from observation, a well stocked bourbon bar. I rate this right up there with Laury's. A real gem. We will definitely be back, soon. read more

Excellent dinner for four while visiting In-laws. Scallops were cooked to perfection with risotto that was smooth. Father-in-law had a pork chop that was HUGH flavorful and anything but dry. Mother-in-law had the Salmon that she slid a big bite to my plate that was wonderful. For a land locked state the sea food was unexpected! It's now becoming the must stop fine(er) dinning In Charleston!
