Our recent visit to Bella's was good. They offer beer and wine here with a very limited selection. I almost wish they didn't have a liquor license... We sampled all 3 of the red wines they offered before deciding on one and buying a bottle. Bottle prices are fair enough, but these aren't high end wines. We ordered the mussels appetizer here again as it was awesome last time... And it was awesome again! So delicious. The hummus bowls were ok. We're generally not wow'd with these, but when combined with an appetizer and their complimentary dip with pita, it's all filling enough. The air felt a bit stagnant here again and then some customer must have said something because they finally turned on their house air conditioning. It felt so much more comfortable at that point, but we were already almost done with our meal. Service was great. They also charge a 3% credit card fee or offer a 4% discount if paying with cash. I headed out for a Tuesday night dinner with a couple of friends. One of my friends chose Bella's Kitchen, it rates very well on Yelp so I was happy to try it. Place has a pleasant casual vibe. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We selected appetizers to share. The dolomades melted in our mouths. The beef cigars were crispy with a nicely seasoned filling. The three dip sampler was tasty (baba ganoush, labneh, and tabbouleh) but a bit on the smaller side. The beet salad was nicely prepared. I enjoyed the short rib hummus bowl quite a bit, the hummus was high quality. The chicken shawarma hummus bowl and lamb shank entree were enjoyed by my friends. Ok, wow!! This place doesn't need any help with its reviews and I can see why. I haven't even gotten my main course and I am impressed with the flavors and textures. Got the soup of the day, squash purée, and they brought me out some pita with some kind of reduction that is amazing. I got the Barrette (spelling?) salad with figs and added the salmon on top, everything is done to perfection and tastes fresh and amazing. Really interesting dressing. There's lots of it on there and it's totally not overwhelming. I think the best way to ruin a salad is too much dressing. I'm making an exception in this case. First time to try this lovely restaurant, our friends sang their praises because they told us the food was amazing and the service was excellent! Well they were 100% correct! We absolutely loved our appetizers but an emergency arose and we could not stay for our entrees. The waiter was so understanding and packed our meals for us to go. First, they gave pita with baba ganoush, delicious. We started with grilled octopus salad which was absolutely amazing, so tender you can cut it with a fork. It was even better than the grilled octopus at Varka which sets the bar quite high! The homemade butternut squash soup was phenomenal and the best we ever had. We ordered chicken shawarma pita and the falafel pita for our entrees which we took to go. We also ordered homemade Rice pudding which was absolutely delicious, we would go back just to have that! The entrees were delicious even reheated the next day. Now that's THE SIGN of fantastic meal. Bella is a must a try! It will be part of your favorite restaurants rotation. Was exploring the neighborhood and decided to visit this joint. We sat in the outside section that had a chill and relaxing atmosphere. Their wings were really good, so were burgers. I had a Moscow mule which I enjoyed but barely tasted alcohol. Even though it was our waiter's first day, she was supper nice and made sure she found out all information for us. The price range for two people including a couple appetizers, two meals, and two desserts was within the range of $100 or less, making it well worth the price! Some friends were recently raving about a spectacular dinner that they had at Bella's Kitchen, so I looked it up on Yelp and noticed that I had already bookmarked the highly-rated place. A week or so later, we were in the need of a Mediterranean dinner takeout destination, when I remembered it. We called in a few questions before placing our order, and the team was delightful! When we went to collect our meal, the staff behind the counter was, again, a pleasure to engage with. The restaurant, itself, was not the most beautiful space (looked diner-ish), but it was definitely cozy and welcoming. We took the food and headed home, enjoying the tempting smells throughout our ride. The menu had been a bit limited, but we ordered a bit of everything to share. We were really intrigued by their interesting hummus bowls, which were topped with a variety of fun proteins. The Lemon Chicken version included a generous portion of grilled chicken, broccoli rabe, olives, and lemon juice. The Short Rib one was covered with a rich stew of braised meat, caramelized onions, fennel, and carrots in a rich broth that was infused with cinnamon. We adored the flavorful toppings, but found the smooth hummus beneath them to be on the bland side and in need of some garlic. I supposed that the hummus could have been more on the basic side with the goal to not mask the flavor of the proteins, but they did also offer general hummus on its own, which still should have had some kind of seasoning...Anyway, both dips came with soft, doughy pita that was delicious! Speaking of pita, we also tried two sandwiches, which were great! The Greek version included the same grilled lemon chicken that was on the hummus, as well as mixed greens, olives, tomato, onions, feta, and Greek yogurt. So, essentially, it was like a Greek salad on bread. The feta added a funky, salty flavor that was really enjoyable. The Falafel Sandwich contained large chickpea balls, which were crispy but could have used more seasoning. Even with the tahini, there could have been a bit more oomph on the pita. Both sandwiches came with a side, so we ordered one with the seasoned, perfectly-cooked waffle fries and one with a side garden salad with a really tasty dressing. Lastly, we ordered the Shrimp Ricotta Gnocchi entree, which contained large pillows of ricotta and potato that had been sauteed with plump shrimp, oyster mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, basil, and pine nuts in a cauliflower cream sauce. I am typically adverse to heavy, milky sauces, but that one was actually light and smooth. The dish was delicious and like nothing I had had before. We found our meal from Bella's Kitchen to be largely enjoyable, though some of the items could have used an impactful dose of herbs and spices in order to be truly memorable. read more

It was a wonderful experience having stopped into this restaurant recently.I randomly picked this restaurant from the 5 star reviews on yelp and you know they deserved all 5 stars. Everything was outstandingly delicious. Started with a delicate lite pita bread and eggplant appetizer that they brought to my table that was incredible- then I ordered the pappardelle pasta with seafood entree-the seafood and pasta was soft and delicious perfectly cooked. The entree came with veggie soup with everything in it but the kitchen sink - celery carrots cauliflower etc with a very different flavor than any I've had before I was served soooo much I ended taking half of it home!!!as a gift they brought a wonderful unique ice cream dessert to me wow what a wonderful experience the staff was super sweet and the food was five star!!!! Stumbled upon Bella's because I was looking for a good halfway point to meet some folks from the Jerz for lunch (I live in the Hudson Valley). Boy, are we glad we did! There was a special salad that we shared -- mango burrata -- that was one of the best, freshest salads I think I've ever had: Burrata, super ripe mango, avocado, radishes and fresh mint, along with high quality olive oil and balsamic glaze. Yu-hu-HUM. Someone else had the grape leaves (I'm not a fan, but that's not specific to Bella's) and said they were great. She also had the falafel sandwich, and enjoyed it; two of the folks had the salmon, and the other person and I had the shawarma pita. I SO enjoyed this; it was unlike any other shawarma I've had, and I liked the different spices. They also have a pita that's stronger than other pitas, so the sandwich didn't fall apart, even with the sauce. The pita was soft and fluffy. The sandwiches came with a choice of salad or french fries (waffle fries!) and I have the salad. I'm going to agree with another reviewer who wrote that the salad dressing didn't have much flavor (although we all wondered whether we were comparing it to the UH-mee-zing mango burrata salad...). I think oil and balsamic would've been better. The service was awesome -- and at the end, the owner and chef came out and offered us some free baklava, which everyone really enjoyed. Went here for a girls night on a Friday. The place was cute inside with some booths in the back, a bar to sit at and some tables of two and four scattered around. For apps, we ordered the Crispy Cauliflower, Falafel and Beef Cigars. Everything was delicious!! One thing better than the dish before! For entrees, I ordered the Short Rib Hummus Bowl, my mom and cousin got the Chicken Schwarma Bowl and my aunt got the Shrimp Ricotta Gnocchi. My short rib was delicious with a hint of sweetness and the hummus was creamy and delicious. The bowls also came with large portions of pita for dipping, so yummy and fresh. The chicken schwarma was also yummy and you could really taste all the herbs and spices. The shrimp dish was also stellar, the gnocchis were light and fluffy and paired nicely with the shrimp and cauliflower cream sauce--a very generous portion as well. Our server was also very kind and was quick to refill our waters and checked in after our food was served. Delicious meal overall and all of us will definitely be back! read more

We settled in and immediately received some hot light pita bread and delicious homemade hummus. Then onto the most amazing mussels I ever had. The sauce was so unique and it had chick peas in it, I wanted to drink it up! We also had the best beet salad in the area . Unreal how tasty! My boyfriend had the gnocchi which I have to say was light and tasty and I had the salmon which I loved. It came with great broccoli rabe and mashed potato. My husband and I had a different style restaurant in mind, but we absolutely love Mediterranean food so we decided to give Bella's a shot. We were impressed. Our server was great. He checked in on us, repeated our orders and checked in frequently, but not too much. The restaurant was small, but comfortable. Noise wasn't an issue for us, all tables were pretty considerate. Now on to the food... The starter eggplant dip is so light and refreshing. Almost like a relish with warm pita. We had the beef cigars and falafel as appetizers - delicious! The crunch on the beef cigars and the freshness with the dip was a great pairing. Falafel had a great crunch and was also flavorful. For our entrees, I had the chicken shawarma hummus bowl and he had the shrimp risotto special. The special came with a butternut squash & eggplant soup - so good we ordered one Togo! I tried Bella's Kitchen after seeing a review on social media. It was so good that I have gone for lunch or dinner at least once a week since. The owner is so nice and friendly. She is always on hand to offer suggestions or answer questions. Most of the items are naturally gluten free. Two people in my family have celiac disease so we have to be very careful with gluten cross contamination. Bella's kitchen is knowledgeable about gluten and very accommodating. They even have a gluten free dessert option that's not ice cream! I have made my way through most of the menu and today we had some of the Mother's Day specials.
