Short Rib bowl featured great hummus!
    Edward K.

I headed out for a Tuesday night dinner with a couple of friends. One of my friends chose Bella's Kitchen, it rates very well on Yelp so I was happy to try it. Place has a pleasant casual vibe. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We selected appetizers to share. The dolomades melted in our mouths. The beef cigars were crispy with a nicely seasoned filling. The three dip sampler was tasty (baba ganoush, labneh, and tabbouleh) but a bit on the smaller side. The beet salad was nicely prepared. I enjoyed the short rib hummus bowl quite a bit, the hummus was high quality. The chicken shawarma hummus bowl and lamb shank entree were enjoyed by my friends. Definitely glad we tried Bella's!

Ok, wow!! This place doesn't need any help with its reviews and I can see why. I haven't even gotten my main course and I am impressed with the flavors and textures. Got the soup of the day, squash purée, and they brought me out some pita with some kind of reduction that is amazing. I got the Barrette (spelling?) salad with figs and added the salmon on top, everything is done to perfection and tastes fresh and amazing. Really interesting dressing. There's lots of it on there and it's totally not overwhelming. I think the best way to ruin a salad is too much dressing. I'm making an exception in this case. Truly my praise does not reach the level of this food. What a great place, I highly highly recommend it.

First time to try this lovely restaurant, our friends sang their praises because they told us the food was amazing and the service was excellent! Well they were 100% correct! We absolutely loved our appetizers but an emergency arose and we could not stay for our entrees. The waiter was so understanding and packed our meals for us to go. First, they gave pita with baba ganoush, delicious. We started with grilled octopus salad which was absolutely amazing, so tender you can cut it with a fork. It was even better than the grilled octopus at Varka which sets the bar quite high! The homemade butternut squash soup was phenomenal and the best we ever had. We ordered chicken shawarma pita and the falafel pita for our entrees which we took to go. We also ordered homemade Rice pudding which was absolutely delicious, we would go back just to have that! The entrees were delicious even reheated the next day. Now that's THE SIGN of fantastic meal. Bella is a must a try! It will be part of your favorite restaurants rotation. As a note, the Restauraunt is no longer BYOB, they serve wine and beer now.

Came here again just to make sure I wasn't dreaming the first time around. I even dulled my mind with an ipa... Result you ask? Wowza is all I can say!

Was exploring the neighborhood and decided to visit this joint. We sat in the outside section that had a chill and relaxing atmosphere. Their wings were really good, so were burgers. I had a Moscow mule which I enjoyed but barely tasted alcohol. Even though it was our waiter's first day, she was supper nice and made sure she found out all information for us. Her coworkers were also very helpful and attentive helping her out. Definitely will be coming back.

Another amazing meal at Bella's Kitchen! The most consistent restaurant I know. Food was excellent, as always. We had the steak hummus bowl, lemon chicken hummus bowl, and the shawarma pita. Everybody loved their food. Appetizer was our regular, the 3 dips & pita, a can't miss. For the finale, the dessert special, Ricotta Delight...fried ricotta with chocolate sauce, wow! We had our favorite server, Angel. He is the best! Thanks again, Bella's!!!

Food was amazing, had a wide range of healthy options, and the staff were accomodating for all kinds of allergies or food sensitivities. The food itself was perfectly garnished, expertly prepared, and was delicious and sensual to eat. The ambiance definitely takes the "hole in the wall" aesthetic and flips it on its head with a clean, well maintained and modern interior. The price range for two people including a couple appetizers, two meals, and two desserts was within the range of $100 or less, making it well worth the price! Definitely goes above and beyond standard expectations, so I'm giving it 5/5.

We love Bella's kitchen! With the variety of hummus bowls and delish apps like the beef cigars, my boyfriend and I frequent this location regularly and rave about it to friends for their next visit to Pearl River. Great for take out or dine in! The staff is friendly and I love how they have transformed the place from the last diner that was located there. I was a bit surprise to see no gyro in the menu but the chicken wrap and variety of spreads make this place a must try!

It was a wonderful experience having stopped into this restaurant recently.I randomly picked this restaurant from the 5 star reviews on yelp and you know they deserved all 5 stars. Everything was outstandingly delicious. Started with a delicate lite pita bread and eggplant appetizer that they brought to my table that was incredible- then I ordered the pappardelle pasta with seafood entree-the seafood and pasta was soft and delicious perfectly cooked. The entree came with veggie soup with everything in it but the kitchen sink - celery carrots cauliflower etc with a very different flavor than any I've had before I was served soooo much I ended taking half of it home!!!as a gift they brought a wonderful unique ice cream dessert to me wow what a wonderful experience the staff was super sweet and the food was five star!!!! I can't rave enough about this restaurant-they are doing everything right.cost under $30 for all worth every penny

Chicken shawarma pita and side salad. Would definitely have this again.

One had eaten and taken out from here before and liked it, so we called, didn't need a reservation, off we went. At about 5:15, give or take, we were the first patrons there. It's a lovely large space, warmly decorated with tables and some banquettes. We chose a 4-top kind of right in the center! Comfy chairs, btw. The menu isn't strictly Greek or Lebanese or Turkish, kind of a combo of good choices from those cuisines. We started with an appetizer called Tinos Artichoke. Very interesting, served with small warm fresh wedges of pita plus a cup of deliciously seasoned pita chips. It's a dip of mashed artichokes with Greek yogurt, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, garlic, feta. S tasty! It's a great portion to share among several people. My friends each ordered the chicken soup with vegetables for appetizers. Quite a nice sized bowl for the price; I love avgolemono, if that's what it was (I didn't taste it), just didn't feel like having soup. They both liked it very much and then they were pretty full! I ordered two appetizers for my meal - Symi Shrimp and Grilled Halloumi. Excellent choices, and they worked really well together as a meal! The 2 slabs of perfectly cooked halloumi are served on a bed of romaine lettuce and some threads of carrot. The shrimp are small, very lightly breaded and deliciously seasoned; menu says garlic, lemon, but they were reddish so I suspect maybe paprika as well or cayenne + paprika (not hot but not bland), shredded feta sprinkled liberally on top. I'm a big eater, but after the appetizer I wasn't able to finish my meal; today I reheated in the toaster oven for a lunch treat! One friend had just the Symi shrimp as her meal; the soup had filled her up and she also took some home. Our other friend had the chicken shish. This came as a really well-balanced plate, with plenty of cubes of chicken, rice, and veggies. We ALL had to-go bags! Appetizer portions, just based on the appetizers we were served, are ample for sharing. Didn't stay for dessert, as I had a train to catch back into the City. When I'm out in Bergen County again, I'll think about coming back. If you live in the area, GO, It's very good and not exorbitantly priced.

Tino's Artichoke is a tasty start - an artichoke dip with feta and sun-dried tomatoes served with pita chips. We'll usually get the mixed grill (but subbing lamb in for the beef, way more flavor). Or, a mix of grilled octopus, grilled calamari and a salad. Everything is very flavorful and goes great with the pita bread. Our calamari was a little chewy this last visit, which surprised me. It's never like that. Octopus is always tender and comes with tasty charred onions, peppers, caperberries. Other delicious dishes here - chicken shish, the steak, gyro, grilled shrimp, lamb shish. Lately they've been decorating tables with fresh flowers - nice touch and complements the candles.

We got a bunch of appetizers for the table to split and each got our own entrée. For a group of 4 we ordered more than enough and everything was fabulous. For starters, we had a trio of dips with pita, the pear arugula salad, crab cakes and the crispy cauliflower. The hummus was so creamy. Baba ghanoush, not too heavy on garlic and tzatziki bright and creamy. We ended up asking for extras of the pita as it was also good. The salad was beautiful and refreshing and the cauliflower appetizer, wow I could eat this all day every day. Crab cakes also delicious. For dinner we had one of the specials - scallops over risotto. Also did the Bronzino, Mediterranean skewer and leg of duck. Again, everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. The hanger steak in the skewers with the chimichurri was so tender. The duck was falling off the bone tender. For dessert, we had the equivalent of a lava cake which we shared amongst the 4 of us. My Over all rating = Meh (Barely acceptable, but no huge complaints either) Service - meh Food - meh Facility - meh Protip: Greek Village in Northvale, NJ seems better rated although I haven't been there yet. That's my next stop for Greek. It's 15min north from PGK. If you go inside its furnished in modern industrial type of decor. Having said that, the restaurant wasn't well run. When I walked in there were very few customers, but few tables were left dirty with dishes and food bits still on them. The floor in similar fashion looked like it hasn't been swept for a bit. I can see paper strip from the straw, gum rapper, and some food. One table near the door had a completely dried out grains of rice. Yes, if you are Asian then you know. It's the kind of rice that hurts your foot because your son/daughter left on the floor the last night at dinner and didn't care to pick up. (Asian problems) Seriously, it had to be there for half a day. No one cared to clean this ? Given the amount of business it had at at the time (not much), it would have taken one person 5 min to fix the aforementioned problems. It showed me that the employees/managers didn't really care. Attitude of the employees that talked to me was consistent with what I saw about the facility. They weren't rude, but just seemed disinterested, disconnected and just blah. In terms of food, I got a a decent Pork Souvlaki in pita. I would rate it 6.5 out of 10 or C-. My pork was unevenly cooked. It had a nice char on one side and just light brown on the other. It was just short of being burnt on one side. I didn't love the Tzatziki sauce that was on there either. I don't know about Greek food that much, but I didn't think it was well made. Either that or it wasn't freshly made. Finally, the only veg that was in there was red onion and tomatoes. I usually see lettuce of some sort of lettuce at all other greek places. So....not too hip to go back, but I may go back if I really crave greek and I don't want to drive more than 10 min to get it.

The service ( thanks Oscar) was also great, and the only regret that I have is that we don't live nearby ( we are from New York City) so we can visit more often.
