Well, I found them on Yelp as 106 Seafood Underground but clearly there have been some changes. Let's get into it. I don't live here so when searching for restaurants online it is really important that the owners should also update their social media pages, including Google searches and YELP. When I arrived I was definitely confused because it actually looked like two abandoned buildings. Because I had taken an Uber and only had a few hours to catch a flight even though it kind of felt uncomfortable. I went ahead and stayed because I was running short on time. The one thing I definitely had an issue with is this restaurant was 100% outdoor outdoors . They had formally changed their name and I don't know where they were before or how they operated but they are actually located in a parking lot and in the parking lot, there is a different food truck. It was a bit chilly outside and they did have heat lamps, but with it being so damp outside and I really wasn't feeling well. This was not the ideal setting. The menus were a little limited. No dessert, desserts, not that many appetizers and yet, the reviews were really high and the shrimp looked good in the photos so I did order it. Now I have to say this shrimp dish was Delicious !! great size on the shrimp, really great portion and seasoned to perfection. A hint of spice but just enough. The rice was super yummy and cooked to perfection. I just didn't like the idea that I was going somewhere completely. Unknown arrived to somewhere Unknown and didn't know if I was eating in the same place as I was reading the reviews. My staff was friendly. Not sure what rating to give here since I wasn't able to try their food. Based off the hours and reviews listed, I decided to go during the week to avoid the crowds. I showed up on a Wednesday at 2:30pm, and nobody was there. I actually found parking right across the street, so I felt that everything was going to go great! I drove from OC, and I understand that me driving over an hour to visit your restaurant is not the restaurants fault, but it is their responsibility to list their business hours correctly. Ambiance was terrible, besides the service being crappy, the table behind us had and obviously drunk vulgar person screaming at another table and picking his shirt up while kids were around. I understand parking is limited they have no control over that side note park on the Main Street near it plenty of parking there. Took us over 2 hours to get seated. About an hour to get our food and when we did right as she was handing over our plates it turns out they ran out of one thing which should of been mentioned before they handed our plates out the waitress asked if we wanted another plate on the menu rudely like in the tone "take it or leave it" we said no since we probably would of had to wait another hour. I'm not going to lie I was a tiny bit skeptical about this place given that it is in the backyard of a residential home in a "rough" neighborhood in Inglewood. First thing's first, parking SUCKS. So pack some patience for your day. But it is Absolutely Worth it! The owners have transformed the backyard into anything but ordinary and it looks fresh and cute. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing. My favorite here is the chicharron de pescado. Crispy fried chunks of white fish marinated in a sour sauce (you can't get enough of it) they have a green aguachile sauce that they bring table side along with chips and it is so good (but very HOT). read more

I've heard a lit about this place from coworkers since it was the Underground. It did not disappoint. My favorite out of everything we got was the Ceviche Tropical but everything was spot on. Took it to go but the lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful with navigating my order. Inside look clean and wasn't to busy. My food took less then 20 minutes to make. Let's get the cons out of the way. This restaurant is in a residential area so there is very limited parking. We parked about a 5 min walk away. Also the restaurant is behind a house and there is very limited signage. We asked a neighbor who was working in his front yeard who pointed is in the right direction a few houses down the street. The minute we found the place it was a 5 star experience. Thankfully we beat the crowd on a Sunday early afternoon. There were two other parties laready seated and we were seated immediately. All the seating is outside but they have a series of umbrellas and tents cover around 2/3rd of the seating. If you come during a busy time you may get stuck in the sun so bring sunscreen or a hat if you're sensitive to sitting in the sun. The waitress was very nice. She answered our questions about the menu, which was heavily in Spanish, and made some recommendations. We got Chicharrones de Pexcado and it was fabulous. 10 out of 10 absolutely recommend. It was the favorite of everyone in the group. Then we got the Green Apple ceviche and an assortment of tacos (shrimp and fish) including Marlin Tacos). Everything was really tasty and I would absolutely recommend checking it out. All the food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was great service sizes for sharing and the cats who were running around were adorable but also stayed a cautious distance from the diners. read more

OMGz!!!! So tasty. I was had seen this place on some post's and some youtube and when I saw that it was in my neighborhood I had to go. My friend and I went for my bday and just told Chef Sergio Peñuelas to make us up some stuff. We had the grilled whole fish, the langostino, Marlin Taco, Fish Taco's, plus others. All so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend. Yes, parking is interesting as it's in a neighborhood, and literally in his backyard. But that is actually some of the joy once you get into the backyard oasis, covered and comfy tables. Service was his family and they were so helpful. Unfortunately Micheladas are not served during the week makes me wonder how special are they that they are only made on weekends. So my next visit will be a weekend. It's a backyard set up and gives a simple Oasis vibe. The green sauce is fire and was a win for sure. Ordered the Ceviche Marinero and an order of the 106 Shrimp both were shareable between 2 ppl could've actually shared between 3. Like a Mexican seafood speakeasy! So glad I came to try this spot with some fellow seafood lovers. The wait was...horrendous. Arrived hungry at 1:15pm on a Sunday and put our name down on the list but even after we were seated and ordered, our food was nowhere to be found. Our first dish came out at 2:50! Was a bummer that they had already run out of the marlin tacos and the grilled snook but everything we got was delicious...maybe also because we were ravenous! Ordered the camaron borrachos, the fried fish tacos, and the fried whole tilapia. The shrimp and tilapia came with a side of rice and some veggies. The tacos came with guac but needed salt/more flavor and the salsa verde did the trick. That salsa is addictive! We all had the lemonade, needed it in the heat - it was a bit overpriced at $7! The food felt like a good deal though. The vibe is casual, almost tropical with all the greenery and wild cats running around. Felt like we were dining Colombia or some secluded jungle area - not in the backyard of a house in Inglewood. Will definitely be back earlier to try out the fish we missed out on. Definitely know why it's underground. The location is cute. It's in the backyard which is very spacious and a little cold bc the beautiful trees block the sun but nothing a little Pacifico can't fix. **Parking is a little tricky on 106 but Hawthorne has plenty of parking so no need to panic. The ambiance was amazing. They had music playing and then a Grupo showed up playing one song for $15 which was great. The vibe was just all there, please support the señores. Now I didn't know what to get to I had to text a few ppl who swear by this place and let me tell you. They weren't lying. The food was bomb.com !!! My friends and I all got something different and let me tell you. I went in wanting something cold and walked out with something hot. I couldn't finish my plate but Damm it was bomb. Friendly service that was willing to explain the different options to a non-Spanish speaker. I am so happy we found this unassuming restaurant tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Lennox. We drove around several times before we found it because we didn't realize it was in someone's backyard. Parking in the neighborhood is hard to find, so you might need to walk a few blocks. We went on a Friday evening at 5:00 PM and there was no wait. For those with a baby (like us), be sure to bring your own high chair or booster seat cause they don't have high chairs. On to the food. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the star of the show were the marlin tacos. We ordered the following: 1) Marlin tacos - comes with 3 tacos. The tortilla was perfectly toasted and had so much flavor. The cheese and the salsa really elevated this dish $12 2) ceviche tropical - came with a ton of fruit, dressed in lime juice $20 3) platillos calientes salsa langostino - shrimp plate with rice with a thick red sauce. This was good but it didn't "wow" me. I want to try the borrachos and pimienta next time $22 For a restaurant that's operating in their house, I felt the prices were high given their operating expenses should be significantly lower than if they had a storefront. Portions were standard too. Additionally, they don't accept credit card (cash / Zelle only). This little jewel is in an expansive backyard of a house. It has a surprising amount of space but you may still have to wait due to popularity. The food is very delicious and very fresh! We had the Ceviche Tropical, Chicharrones de Pezcado, and Camarones Borrachos, and for drinks horchata and a michelada. Was way too much food for 2 but it was all delicious! Would highly recommend the Ceviche Tropical and Camarones Borrachos, and will be coming back to try the tacos! FYI Parking can be tough, will most likely have to park about 2 blocks away. read more

FINALLY went to check this place out. Went right when they opened last Friday and there were already customers seated inside. The backyard area where they have their tables is bigger than I expected. Ordered their ceviche and tacos (gobernador and echilosos) which was pretty great, fresh and tasty. Parking can be hard because it's a neigborgood but we got lucky we found one couple houses down.
