DONT WALK OUT!!! My wife and I went here the other night for a date night and as soon as we walked in we almost turned around and left... I'm so glad we didn't the inside was kinda set up like a bar and grill style restaurant and the ambience wasn't there for a nice date however after we checked out the menu we decided to give it a chance. It wasn't very busy so we sat outside and had a whole section to ourselves it was perfect. The service was amazing and quick!! And the food was incredible we had a couple appetizers like the fish dip, blue crap plate and black pepper bacon and all three were delicious or server checked on us regularly and kept our waters full without us even having to ask. For our entrees my wife ordered the mahi and I had the snapper and both were great the lemon sauce on the mahi was a little too salty but it wasn't a deal breaker for my wife... our whole tab was fairly inexpensive and we will definitely be back!! read more

I ordered the Crab Stuffed Shrimp with rice and Brussels sprouts. The shrimp was very fresh and delicious. I absolutely loved the stuffing. I was surprised how huge they were and it was a nice size meal. The rice was mediocre. I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts but it would of been delicious if seasoned. I would rate this place a 3.5 due to my experience with my food. I only enjoyed the stuffed shrimp and was slightly disappointed with the sides. Rating does not include waiting time. While down in Stuart Fl, for a funeral, we ask several locals where to go eat. While all the suggestion we received disappointed our taste buds, we realized we had to take matters into our own hands. We came across this small hidden gem and when I say hidden Waze go us lost so we had to park, get out of our car and walk towards the spot. 12A Buoy was worth it! We where lucky to get an outdoor seat! We enjoyed the view and friendly neighborhood cats. Our server Andrew, where do we being, not only was he knowledgeable about menu, he was able to suggest things he liked without suggesting the most expensive items on the Menu. He also informing us about the small kitchen and the long cook lead time. He suggestion we stagger the food so there was not long lag time in between meals. That really made the meal flow. We started with oysters; amazing! Then we were entertained with the at the table Sweet Swine cooking! That was a pleasant surprise and to see the bacon being heated at the table and it smelled incredible! Next was the Hot & Spicy Pickled Shrimp! If you can't handle heat then this appetizers not for you! It was the perfect blend of spicy heat and tangy pickled tart! It was an explosion of flavor and the surprise of the layers of jumbo shrimp in the jar! Next was the taste of two delights of soups; Jacks Miami Vice, a combo of the New England Clam Chowder & Conch Chowder with Rum... now all the restaurants we where at for the past week, 12A Buoy was hands down the BEST Conch Chowder we had. For our meals we had the Blacken Scallops, which did not disappoint, as then scallops were big in size and cooked to the perfect temperature! I had the Blacken Ribeye, now understand I am a snob when it comes to cooking steaks right, as in my past life I worked as a restaurant manager & cook in a high end steak house. So when I said this steak was cooked beyond perfection, it am not over Exaggerating! A perfect steak should melt in your mouth and the chef did an amazing job! Finally, we ordered dessert; Mile High KeyLime Pie! Now I have had a lot of KeyLime Pie in my time, so bad that I had stopped ordering it for over 10years as it always disappoints my taste buds. This was NOT true about this KeyLime Pie! With the first taste you could tell it was not only homemade but made with passion and respects for every ingredient! It was a perfect end to our extraordinary experience. To make the evening better, our Server Andrew paid for our dessert as a way to show his condolences for her loss. The view! The service! A local hole in the wall. It's in the boat ramp parking lot. Yelp got me close but couldn't get me there. I think it has to do with where the building sets. Ordered fish dip, shrimp & grits and a fish sandwich. A close second to the fish shack. So for those in Ft Pierce they have very good local place with good seafood. The fish dip was excellent, my wife finished all her shrimp & grits and blacken fish sandwich was good too. This is one of my all time favors places on Ft Pierce! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I called at 10 am and spoke to the manager Francine to order a lunch for 20 people. She said she could have it ready by 11:45. Perfect and everything was ready. So I got to be a hero to this office with the mahi sandwiches , grouper fingers and shrimp Po boy sandwiches. They all went crazy for it all. This is a seafood loving group and 12a really came through. The sides include fresh fruit, coleslaw and fries. Also to eat in it is a very pleasant experience, I usually come in during a workday so I sit at the bar by myself. The service is good, one of my favorites is the Miami vice soup a delicious and beautiful blend of conch chowder and clam chowder. The ice tea is good too! Ok the only thing that puzzles me is their key lime pie. I know they get it from a vendor because Francine said they had one in this day. I decided to get one. That is the last time I do.. it was one humongous pile of whipped cream it seemed on a graham cracker crust with a slight lime flavor. The seafood is very fresh, and it seems like anybody could order whatever they want without compromise. Everything arrives exactly how it should be prepared; fresh and well presented. Very good food. Good portioning. An appetizer is a good portion for lunch or early dinner. The key lime pie is amazing, almost resembling a lime cheesecake. A slice comes sitting upside down on its back crust. Its presented like a sailboat with the length of the pie up in the air like a sail. Food is a 10/10 The service a was a bit off. The hostess was difficult to work with and made it hard to understand the reservation process. Apparently there are no reservations made, you just show up, put your name on the list and wait for a table to be open. When we were sat down, it was maybe 15 minutes before any server gave us attention. Not any of the maybe 7 waiters working the deck stopped to ask for a drink order or to ask who was working our table. We had to call over a waiter to receive service. One of our guest we were eating with asked to order a manhattan, and the waiter rudely shut down the request and said they didn't serve liquor that way. He then proceeded to tell our guest that he could grab a manhattan at the bar across the street. His attitude was very unprompted and he continued to be unpleasant the entire dinner. We ordered just appetizers and it was unclear if our waiter was charging them as entree meals. He would mutter and not confirm if he wrote in our orders. No remarks and very few option questions. Then by the time all the food was on the table, we had been sitting, waiting for our food for an hour. We had seen the same waiter serve our exact orders to people that had arrived and ordered after we did. I had already finished my drink before my food arrived. I wasn't offered any refills during that one hour waiting period, even though i saw my waiter on the deck with many opportunities to refill my cup. I finished my meal without my drink and after i was done eating he finally brought me a new glass without taking my old glass or my plate, leaving the table crowded. We ordered a key lime pie and a calamari, with him again not confirming the calamari order. He brought the check, requesting for us to pay before we got our pie and calamari. Then after we had eaten the last things, we watched another waitress drop several plates and glasses on the deck, spreading shattered glass everywhere. She cut herself bad on the glass and she was bleeding all over the place. I offered to help but she rudely commanded me not to help so didn't get cut and the restaurant wouldn't have liability. The service and customer treatment was very poor. Another note to add was that the place has a number of very adorable kitties running around. The cute cats treated visitors better than the waiters! We saw two, one if them named Ghost. She was a soft grey and white cat with beautiful ice-blue eyes. She was laying on the corner of the shade canopy the whole time. If you went over to her little bed and said "Ghostie!" She would turn her head over to look at you and meow sweetly. She very much likes the head scritches and the nose boops. The same waitress that dropped the glasses and plates saw me slightly leaning on this fence thing to pet Ghost, and told me to not do that again because of liability. The staff seemed to be very liability stressed, as there were yellow signs at every little step and drop off. It was a bit odd. We have been customers since they opened! Probably go 2x month, have sent clients and friends galore. However NO more! I know they have had a management change and it is unfortunate to say but he is the WORST. Not even sure he has worked in the bus before. His tableware manner is either no existent or just downright rude. This are the only 2 choices. Teenagers working the host stand and sorry but just ineffective help. He cannot seem to be effective, kitchen is always behind. Just super poor service. It really is a shame because the food is really good and we don't have a backup seafood place. But I will not be treated with disrespect ever especially from a young teen. For God's sake we are in the middle of a pandemic your staff and management should wear mask APPROPRIATELY. not around their neck or below their nose. Let me just say this ... hands down the best oyster po boy I have had, and that saying something because I'm getting up there in years and have had my share of sandwiches. What a great place!!! We went to dinner with some friends from Tennessee and truly had a wonderful meal and time. I had the Grouper, Sara had the Calamari, sue had the shrimp & Lobster MAC and Cheese and Ricky has the Boiled Shrimp and the Cobia. We had the Bacon appetizer and WOW! Each one was a 10. Our server Kim was amazing. She did a great job and never left a glass empty. Y'all gotta go to this place. Great atmosphere and people. Local Fort Pierce Waterfront seafood restaurant. They have a small indoor seating area and outside seating area as well, note be prepared to wait for your table and for your food once you are seated. The menus and the staff will remind you of this, it was mentioned that there was only a couple people in the kitchen as it's a small if I recall, 6 by 8 room. However it is definitely worth the wait, the view is spectacular the appetizers are phenomenal and the food is pretty good. They only serve beer and wine with a selection of domestic and craft beer as well, no alcohol frozen drinks, or drinks. We tried the following: Conch fritters - a bit doughy but not dense, light and loaded with conch meat. The flavor was nice but the sauce could've used more slice in my opinion Miami Vice chowder- this is a clam and conch chowder it is amazing. While we were waiting for a table we saw several people come in and order Chowder's to go. It's no surprise why, please do yourself a favor a try some! Clam chowder- so fresh loaded with clams barely salt potatoes in it, great consistency, great flavor not too salty just perfect. Wellfleet oysters - these are slightly larger and slightly sweeter than your normal briny salty oysters but definitely fresh. Mussels- Super fresh, not salty, crispy bread to dip in delicious sauce. The meals come with a side and a salad we chose to have fresh anchovies on one of our Caesar salad and it could not get any fresher. Your classic surf and turf was loaded with fresh chunky buttery Lobster, so good definitely recommend this. Jameson Irish whiskey bread pudding- if you love Jameson Whiskey this desert is for you, the bread pudding was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The Whiskey sauce was a tad too strong for my taste but others in my table loved it. Finally we had the gluttony dish - this is a seafood pasta not pictured in my post but still very flavorful great sauce could have used a bit of a kick in my opinion it was like if it was lacking strong flavor of something couldn't put my nose on it but still overall pretty good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant especially on a beautiful sunny day so you can enjoy the view and apps! read more

We initially visited a couple years ago and visited once again recently and it was clear why this was our favorite spot to visit when in the area. The fried shrimp was to die for! Super fresh, not under or over cooked - just perfectly fried. Coleslaw is made fresh in house and is the perfect addition. This was a great find. Great atmosphere and excellent food, clam chowder was so good. We sat on the patio but a sudden storm blew in and the manager Travis and our waitress Elizabeth moved us inside. Having great food does not give a restaurant an excuse for bad service. "Don't worry, once they get their food, they'll be ok"... After being seated- we waited 25 minutes to be acknowledged? The drinks came and the sever was overwhelmed but also didn't have a sense of urgency. When we asked for knives, he said there was a shortage. A floor manager did a table visit at a certain point. She asked us how we were doing and when we mentioned some concerns she pointed out that my friend finished his dinner implying our experience wasn't all bad. She didn't help the situation. I know they don't want to turn people away. We waited for an hour and half (which happens this time of year)before we were seated and spent 4 hours there. They can do better. read more
