This was my first time at this place, I heard from some friends that this place was good. Man was I disappointed, the waiter was a complete mess, almost forgot to take my order completely and kept forgetting drink orders. When we got our small plates, we didn't get any silverware and had to sit as our food got colder and colder and the waiter was no where to be seen. I got the clam chowder, which I have to admit, the flavor was nice, but the texture was like they had a nice chowder, then added a bunch of cornstarch slurry to try and make it thicker to the point it was almost like pudding. After a crazy long wait (close to an hour) we got our 'main course' (we all got apps to share). The lobster mac tasted burnt, the thai shrimp had a soft texture?? Everything was just disappointing. We enjoyed everything we ate last night starting with the Thai shrimp and the lamb chop appetizers. My man truly enjoyed the Jack Vice soup - a shared bowl of New England clam chowder and conch chowder. The iPA brewery selection was fab too. Great night of delish dining. I love classic Florida spots like this where you can get fresh seafood and a cold beer for a reasonable price. Nothing beats the laid back atmosphere. The inside is pretty cramped and may not be the spot for the covid-minded or vulnerable, but there are plenty of tables outdoors to solve that problem. We started with the fish dip which was great and got the nod of approval from my very fish dip critical boyfriend. He ordered a snapper wrap which was delicious but the star of the show was my lobster sandwich which was PILED with lobster to the point that he kept stealing all the chunks falling onto my plate as I ate it. The accompanying fries were pretty yummy too but I could barely eat any of them cause I couldn't bear any lobster going to waste. Love this place! Will be back next time we're in Fort Pierce! I got the Gluttony Pasta Dish which was Linguine with Sauteed Grouper and Shrimp. It was super rich but excellent. I'm new to town and this is reportedly a local favorite, so I figured I'd come try it out. The food was tasty. A solid restaurant near water. The view isn't magical, but I enjoy outdoor seating. I ended up with the Shrimp PO'boy. I say ended up because the first few things I planned to order they no longer had. Ran out or shipment didn't come in. Nonetheless, the Shrimp PO'boy was a great choice. I also ordered a white sangria which was a good choice of libation on such a hot day. The fruit was frozen which was helpful in the heat too. This review is for takeout. The Thai shrimp and fancy green salad were both really good. I would not dine in (or outside) during covid. The place is very cramped and crowded. Staff had masks but most, if not all staff had it pulled under their nose. It made me uncomfortable and nervous to wait for my to go order. Lunch at 12A previously was always a pleasure. Our last visit was different. The service was very slow. We arrived at 1:30 and were promptly seated outdoors. Orders were placed and food was served a full 40 minutes later. The Miami Vice combo, always a favorite, was bland. The conch salad was rubbery and tasted old. Add insult to injury, the busboys wore matching shirts that read, "expletive COVID," where the expletive was a reference to sexual intercourse. We won't be back again, first thing they did was canceled the lamb chops probably the main reason we went there, Because it was always good,we decided to go there again, my brother-in-law ordered lobster and macaroni. There was very little lobster in it. They did credit us half the amount of the meal. last night we went in there again we had a very friendly waiter but we had to wait almost an hour for our dinner & had to ask for everything & never got some things, I ordered a $48 ribeye which was good but they charged 3 dollars extra for the asparagus,did not see a price on the menu for that side but he said it was on there, they did credit the three dollars, which I appreciated then shorted me $10 on the change, again we always enjoyed this restaurant, but not happy the last few times we went in there, part of the reason the food took longer than usual is because he said they have a very small kitchen,We've eaten there before and it didn't take this long. again, the food was good and the staff is very friendly but Not very good on following up after you get your meal. read more

My favorite drive along Hutchinson Island culminating in one of my favorite restaurants. Lobster club sandwich is my go to followed by burger and lobster Mac N Cheese. This has definite 5-star potential. First of all, you would never in a million years just stumble across it's location, but it is worth seeking out - thanks Yelp! The appetizers are generally huge, so if you are on a date, it would be foolish to each order one and expect to even have a hope of eating your main course. I didn't order the conch chowder, but I saw a woman at the next table get one, and I couldn't believe how big it was. And for the price, that portion size is pretty astounding. I ordered the lobster mac, which given the number of pictures here on yelp seemed mandatory. Good-sized hunks of tender lobster meat abound in the creamy lobster-cheese sauce with a cheesy, crispy crust. Yum! I thought the noodles could have been cooked just a little less, but that's a complaint I have in many "southern" places, and I don't know how you get around that. The same fear (overcooked pasta) was what steered me away from what looked like 4 awesome entree choices - requesting "al dente" seems pretentious. A fantastic place to just sit outside and soak up the sun for awhile. Lunch on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving - guess lots of people had the same idea! It was very crowded inside, but there were plenty of places to sit outside. I decided to try the Miami Vice soup, based on all the stellar reviews from other Yelpers. It did not disappoint! The clam chowder was sinfully delicious, with big chunks of potato and a super creamy finish. I didn't love the conch chowder quite as much, simply because it was a little too tomato-soupy and peppery for me. However, stir those bad boys together and you get perfection! Oh yeah! The Caesar was bleh - no zip to the dressing, and the lettuce was kind of saggy and old. But who cares because the soup rocks!!! Edit: obviously I never posted this, and now I've been back several times. The soup continues to be awesome. I've also had the fresh fish sandwich (excellent), the fresh conch salad (tasted like jalepenos, onions, and rubber), and the conch fritters (yum!). The place is overrun by stray cats. If you eat inside your fine but the entire front patio has a dozen cats walking right up to your table crying for your food. It was not what I expected when your charging those prices for a plate. We decided to come down and try this gem in Fort Pierce. Our server, Miranda, was fabulous. She gave us a rundown of all the specials and took our drink order. We sat outside and the tables were all socially distanced appropriately. She returned with our red sangria which was very refreshing and then took our order. We all ordered the Jack's Miami Vice Soup which is their Clam Chowder and Conch Chowder mixed and it is wonderful. I tasted each separately and both soups were good but when combined it is a beautiful thing . Our whole party decided this was the best and we would come back just for that. I ordered one of the specials which was a Snapper Wrap. It was loaded with fresh snapper and black beans. It was supposed to have pico de gallo but I didn't notice any and I used the remoulade for the conch fritters to give it a little more flavor but the sandwich itself was very good My friends got conch fritters and a grouper sandwich that looked anemic compared to mine. My boyfriend got the fried Shrimp with fries that was also very good. Miranda kept checking on us and bringing us more drinks. Not an easy place to find, but worth it! Google Maps will take you down Fisherman's Wharf drive, if you go that way just go to the end of the parking lot and you'll be right behind the restaurant with plenty of parking. Great menu! I was hard-pressed to choose only one entree there were so many interesting items. Had the daily special, crispy mahi with green beans and roasted potatoes. The fish was perfect, crispy-fried (panko crust?) and moist, the beans were young and tender, and the potatoes were crispy on the outside. My companion had the shrimp and grits - a little hard to eat with the skewers, but she would definitely order it again. I had dessert, which I rarely do, and ordered the Key Lime pie which is so often a green gelatinous mess, but this was smooth and creamy with no false green food coloring added. Delicious! Our table was on the east side of the patio with a great view of the wharf, which we really enjoyed. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful - there when we needed her, not around when we didn't. Driving down the coast up to Orlando and it was close to dinner time. I had this place bookmarked and since felt in the mood for fish, decide to get off the Turnpike and it was an easy 10min detour to get to this restaurant. The route we took, the restaurant wasn't visible from the road, but instead it was behind a bait and tackle shop and I definitely recommend persistence because the food lives up to the hype - we had a solid 15 minute wait on a Sunday evening at 5:30, so this place is busy! The restaurant has a very nice patio, but this area wasn't being used for service, so when our turn came in, we went inside and sat at a booth. Looking around, there was a massive homogeneity to race, which I found startling in this day and age, but mum and I were treated respectfully even if there were some stares from a table with older blokes. It was also very nice to see so many families filling the tables - from grandparents down to young'uns, so you really can tell this is a popular local hang-out. Our server (Jeff) was really lovely and helped guide our menu choices. I got the Vice soup ($5 for a cup) and the Fresh catch sandwich ($12) - Yellowtail Snapper or Mahi were the choice and I got grilled Yellowtail with chips rather than coleslaw. Mum got the special of the day ($27) - a pan seared red snapper served over ramp and asparagus risotto with lobster truffle cream sauce and garlic Swiss chard. I really enjoyed my food. That cup of the Vice soup (its had both the traditional white cream chowder and a red tomato chowder) was divine! Next time I would so get the bowl, cause I could have licked it clean. My sandwich was also good - great size for the fish which was just perfectly cooked, and good bit of accompaniment with the pickle, onions, tomato and lettuce. I loved my fries - fantastically crisp and not at all oily. Mum too liked her dish very much, and her sauce was a stand-out. We did think the risotto could have been cooked a little bit more, but otherwise all the flavours held up. Presentation of the food matched up to its deliciousness!
