I've been going to 13th floor Haunted House for several years and it's always a good way to celebrate the spooky season. I like the ax throwing experience that they added to the end and that they have performers entertain entertaining in line while you wait. It really can't get crowded and the lines can become long so I always try to go in the earlier end. The performers are great and it makes for a fun experience during Halloween. read more

I'm a big fan of haunts , attend many throughout the country, and am admittedly highly critical. We went opening night for 2025 and there was no line at all. Our first sentiments were that we didn't feel welcomed. We had a group of four (all of us business aged 45-50) and we kept getting asked to move by staff several times. All while not feeling like they were being helpful at all. It just felt childish and I was even second-guessing going in. Three different staff members asked to see our tickets. Rules were repeated to us a total of three times. Now for the haunt - it was stifling hot inside the building through the whole maze / so much that I was getting dizzy and my friends couldn't wait for it to be over just to get back into a breeze.. The sets were detailed but it was a lot of similar themes going on in many of the rooms - it lacked some imagination in favor of just medical gore scenes. There was fog in areas that were too heavy to even enjoy what was coming at us - and that fog landed in many rooms. The end of the maze that leads into the retail exit was abrupt - there was no grand finale moment. Overall, not much stood out as very interesting or outstanding. (Exception: the subway cars) Go if you are a huge fan of haunts and Halloween. But if you only go to one haunt each year, this isn't the one. read more

ENTER IF YOU DARE The Fall season is here and 13th Floor is open and running on select nights thru November 9th! 13th Floor is the most well known haunted house in town, and has been up and running for years! Each year, they change the theme and characters out so you never get the same experience twice! I liked this year's experience because I went earlier in the season & the house wasn't too crowded. I know some seasons were packed like sardines, so just try to plan for days that would have less of a rush! They also have a zombie shootout attraction this year with live zombie actors, try it out for a real thrill! I have always been a fan of spooky seasons/haunted house. For years I have been trying to go to 13th floor. So the first time I went was on Oct 31st (pretty cool). Got there at a decent time so parking was a breeze and $20. On the street to go in was not a lot of people. Once we past the street and go in the back is where the actual line to go in is. Lots of people but it moves quick. Of course you have the actors coming out doing scares and taking pics pretty cool. So in the haunted house it was good with good props and a good length (long haunted house). I was just expecting more jumps and scares. We would essentially just walk into a room with no real life actors jumping out just props. I wanted more of the actors jumping out scaring us. Overall not bad, I will repeat. read more

I really like this place. As a matter of fact, the last two years I purchased pre-sale tickets. Unfortunately, when I tell you it is a MAJOR hassle to redeem them online, believe me. NEVER BUY PRE-SALE TICKETS from these bozos, as their website really sucks. I should have learned my lesson last year, but I didn't. This place was awesome! Great costumes, decorations and special affects. Price for general admission was about $35.... I thought that was very expensive for the experience. I would NOT advise anyone to the extra entrance charges, i don't think the experience is worth it. This place is perfect for family's, kids, date night etc.... Nothing too scary but definitely FUN, great experience and lots of laughs. They have paid parking outside the building for about $15 (you can pay by phone or with cash) They also serve drinks before you go inside but you have to finish before you go inside the haunted house. read more

We went here on 10/11/25 and had a great time! David and the crew (sorry I didn't get their names) were absolutely wonderful. My husband and two boys went upstairs and through the basement without me because I'm in a wheelchair but David took me through to the zombie hunter game and back out to wait for my family. He was so nice and pushed me through the attraction so my husband and kids could enjoy it without worrying about me. He talked with me while we waited and I was able to scare some people too! I have limited things I can do but David and the crew made what I thought was going to be a miserable time, very enjoyable. I couldn't stop smiling. I only have 2 issue. One, pea gravel is absolute hell in a wheelchair and two, if you have a wheelchair user that has to split from their party, please make there be a way for the wheelchair user to be in the photos, too. Went here and tried the escape room and it was a first for me, fun and interesting as well as entertaining. Mac and Regan were great hosts and zombies. We tried the zombie escape room and I'd have to say it was pretty difficult, it was kinda dark so reading the clues was a little challenging not to mention the zombie chasing us. Pretty fun but the clues seemed disorganized and I feel without a bit of assistance I would have not made it as far as we did. The parking outback was ridiculously expensive so I'd try to find different parking if possible. The hosts and staff were great though! read more

We went on Halloween. It seemed like half the actors were missing. We were sent through in a huge group so only the first couple had any jump scares. You could see what was going to happen way in advance. Everything was all gore. Fake mutilated bodies were more abundant than actually workers. Other haunted houses have more variety of witches, werewolf, ghost, and something that just spook you. I have been terrified in other haunted houses, but this one just seemed over priced, overcrowded with people underserved by workers. The outside line was more fun than the actual haunted house. Maybe many workers were missing because it was Halloween?? Maybe other nights were better, but I won't be back. read more

This place is fun but they have so many people going through the haunted house at once. I felt like I would see the people in front of me get scared every time we walked around a corner so I always knew what was coming, which kinda took away from the experience. Decent haunted house! Line was a bit long took us almost 50 minutes for an 8:00 buy in ticket. I don't know why you select times. While on line the characters do a decent job at scaring and hyping the crowd up. Inside is actually rather long, a few characters , not super scary you can bring kids. The squeezing walls were weird, and parts of it smell like BO. The prices weren't terrible $36, and overall adequate for the buck. 6/10 read more

It is pricey, expect to pay at least $30 for parking as well. The parking lot is also gravel. We came here on a weekend night and waited over an hour in line. The walk through took about 20 minutes, and the actors that are there are superb. I didn't like that it was so packed. Me and a couple of family member went to the 13th floor a couple of nights ago. It was Columbus Day and it was very busy. We had our reservation time for 730 and arrive at 700. We waiting on line for about 30 mins. But it was actually fun. Lots of people, loud electronics music blasting over the sound system and a few 13th floor characters roaming the lines taking photos and just being creepy... It actually got us all more in the mood for the 13th floor. So I have been to the 13th floor before last year. This year it far exceeded my expectations!!! It seems the haunted house is all but redone from last year. New props, new scares and lots of fun!!! We had a blast!! It took about 20 to 25 mins to travel through the 3 floor maze. My one major tip is be on the look out for pre sale Tix. The average online price is upwards of 25 bucks... Via pre sale we got Tix for 14 bucks..... great job 13th floor. Line was only about 30 minutes moved pretty fast. Actors were great better than any other haunted houses in San Antonio especially the mall one which was weak with only 3 actors. Vibe and Scare are worth it. Parking is expensive at $30 so might want to park elsewhere and walk there. Axe throwing after is worth it for the price especially if you've never done it before. Yep, it pretty much sucks. For starters, it's $40 per person. It probably took 20-25 minutes from start to finish. They have some decent scares inside, but it's so dark, and there's so much fog, that most of the time I found myself feeling the walls, trying to figure out where to turn next so I didn't run into a wall. One spot in the place had a 3-inch step down onto a mirror/glass floor right after you turned a corner, and someone slipped and fell on it when they turned the corner (no, it wasn't me this time). All of this really ruined the experience since I was so focused on trying to find my way through the place. I really feel that I missed out on most of the scary parts. When someone jumped out at me, I was like "yeah, ok cool, where's the next wall so I don't run into it?" That's a shame, because they did put a lot of effort and creativity into the experience. The actors had great makeup and awesome costumes. Even the ticket buying process is confusing. No signage - you get in a line to talk to someone and they say, "go over there" and I was like "where?" Then, when you do get your tickets, they say, "go over there" and I was like "where???" I finally found my way to the entrance. The line looked long, but it only took about 20 minutes (early October) to get through it. They have several actors walking through the lines to keep you entertained and to take pix with. There's also a stage right in front of the lines with live performances going almost nonstop. In the end it wasn't worth it - I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Holllly shit this was expensive. I received recommendations afterwards to either purchase online or get the tickets from Costco. Anyway - you ARE paying for the actors, decorations, lighting, atmosphere, etc. SOO in that case I would say worth it. This place is decorated extremely well. There are not many actors that are able to scare you because of COVID, but they still get into the role and do a very good job! We had so much fun! Despite COVID precautions I still felt safe. Everyone was wearing a mask. One of the actors scared the absolute shitake mushrooms out of me by jumping on a table and then following us. *applause* She did an excellent job. I recommend it! We went like at 10:30 on a Friday. It was super last minute and it just gave me the creeps the entire time. SO much fun! read more

First off, the stellar COVID-19 protocols (temperature checks at the door, all patrons must wear face masks and social distance) allowed me to focus on the experience instead of worrying about my health. The house is well decorated and the actors were excellent, with a few solid jump scares. It wasn't so much scary as it was suspenseful, and it was manageable for my girlfriend (who typically scares easily). Unfortunately, other Google reviews were right about the horrid spacing between groups. We even asked if they could delay a little, but they bluntly said they're trying to get as many people through as possible (to get as much money as possible). The poor spacing between groups meant we were running into the group in front of us and behind us often and had to slow ourselves down several times (we were walking leisurely to begin with after seeing the other reviews). At one point I saw 5 different groups all in one area! This toned down scare factor considerably as we could see jump scares coming up, and several actors didn't have time to reset positions before we got to them. This house's business model is a paragon of quantity at the expense of quality. I still enjoyed the experience overall since I love haunted houses, but if you're looking for the best bang for your buck, I'd recommend trying someplace else. Also, general admission tickets are fine even on Halloween on Saturday night if you show up at 6pm for their first time-slot. I would have given a lower rating for sure if I'd gotten the pricier Skip the Line tickets considering the poor spacing of groups. read more

What a fun time! I was able to get presale discount tickets for my spouse and I, coming from central FL we are used to the production value at Halloween Horror Nights and I feel this is on par with that event. The haunt is incredibly decorated and the scare actors look great and do a great job. We had a drink at the expedition bar before getting in the general admission line which moved quickly, we waited 30 mins at most. I liked the pacing and never felt rushed, the whole experience inside was about 25-30 mins. It was quite warm in there, so dress accordingly. Also, a heads up about parking.. the event charges $20 to park in their lot but if you go up a block and park at Maggott's Grocery it is only $5. Anyway, highly recommend! read more

We paid alot of money for the "skip the line/VIP" tickets, however, we still had to wait almost an hour before we even started the tour. The first line was to go through a metal detector. After that, we had to wait again in a staging area before entering the building. Once we entered, we had to wait again in a overly hot hallway before going down a slide to start the tour. So basically our "skip the line" tickets were worthless, so don't waste your money paying for that. The outside bar is literally a ramshackle wooden structure that looks like it'll fall down any minute. Overall, it was a disappointment and we'll not return. read more

This was not what I was expecting. I had been wanting to attend for years, and finally did this year. First off, per their website it said there is "free" parking. Was there? No, of course not. The lot right next to the "house" was $20. Ridiculous. The parking guide was quick to say "No definitely not." when I said I read there was free parking. This organization needs to fix their website where it says that. Additionally, for the experience, there are three different lines you wait in. First, to get into the gate, second to get to the basement of the house, and then wait in the basement before you actually enter the haunted house. So, hands down this was o e of our favorites last year. Worth the 30$ ticket price and the extra money for fro t of line. This year not so much. The wait times outside aren't bad and then you get inside and realize why. You are shoulder to shoulder barely moving the whole way through the whole thing. It's super hot and humid and you are in the same room with the same "monsters" for way too long. Even they were getting tired of screaming at the same people. As always the props and graphics were great. The actors and actresses were awesome as well. Something needs to be done about the timing letting people in though, it pretty much ruined the experience and this is a fairly good haunted house. Maybe try not to go on A Weeknd and go kind of early. read more

I will say that their covid measures are 5 stars and The protocols and all that are noteworthy. That said it seemed a rip off to pay $21 a piece for a 15 minute walk through a stage scary scene. We went on a weekday but it seemed to be greatly understaffed and maybe 7 scary costumes folks in the haunted house. They missed many opportunities and our group is going away disappointed, with less many, and no adrenaline from the scare or thrill factor we hoped for. I was super duper excited to go on opening night! The anxiety and anticipation grew as the sun went down. There was what seemed like a crew tasked with nothing but wiping down rails and sanitizing frequently touched areas. Very good to see that and they were all over the place. A monster ran out and scared us while we stood in line. I may have peed a little. Lol! It didn't take long before it was time for our group to take the plunge. We were directed to go straight down to the basement. The hair on the back of my neck stood straight up. This haunted house was scary AF! The characters inside were really good!!! My favorite part was when you get to "check-in" to the 13th Floor! There's a bell on the lobby desk. Ring it hard and see what happens!!! You're welcome! We had so much fun going through all of the twists and turns! We were allowed to go with just our group. It felt a bit VIP if you ask me. In the past I can remember having to go through with strangers. I suppose with the pandemic, that's not really an option anymore and I'm glad for that! We had to wear our masks which was very understandable! It kind of served as a sort of protection from the spookies if you ask me. The temperature was a bit warm which only adds to the atmosphere. If I wanted to walk into an air conditioned building and get scared I'd just visit my pandemic affected bank account. Lol. The second half of the adventure felt cooler so that's awesome. We were so excited to go as we do every year, but I have to say it was a little disappointing. First, we waited in line and one of the employees came by talking to people. He said something to me that highly offended me and I do not offend easily. I was very angry to be honest, but decided I wouldn't let it ruin my night. They let us in the main gate to wait in another line outside the building. No biggie, we do that every year and the characters come by to keep you entertained, so it's ok. A girl came by and asked us if we had general admission or ?. She didn't specify what ? Was, so I told her, I don't know because seriously I just bought tickets a month early to go. I didn't know it was gonna get all special and all. But I took out my phone and showed her my scan tickets. She said I'll be back in a few to let you know if you're general admission or ? Again with the ?. Lol. Anyway, I could've cared less what tickets I bought. She came back by about 10 minutes later and instead of telling me what we had purchased, she asked to see my tickets again. Once again, I brought out my phone and pulled them up. She didn't say what we were, just walked off, mumbling that she would get us in soon. She came by about 5 minutes later and asked for my tickets, yet again. Now I'm getting irritated, but nevertheless, pulled out my phone...again to pull up my tickets. Finally about 5 minutes after that, we were allowed in. Practically as soon as you are in, you are given rules. Again, no worries. People get stupid. This is expected. Finally, the moment had come to enjoy. Wait! Now you have to stop to have your picture taken with a character. Really? It's not effin Disney. How about giving people the option? I'm not interested in getting my pic at a haunted house and then paying God knows what for it. NOW I understood the weird crate "buildings" outside. They were selling beer, t-shirts and souvenirs. Trying to squeeze every dollar out. Desperate but understandable. It's a business after all. On to the haunted house. The first floor rocked like always. Full of little heart stopping fun as expected, etc. Let's get to the second floor. Like last year and the year before, it was hot as hell. Kind of goes with the scary theme...if it was really good like the first floor. Mainly overall, all it really is are tunnels of wood walls for the most part that go back and forth, designed to make you feel like you are getting your money's worth, while you are sweating your ass off. I would rather have just finished at the end of the first floor and been on my way, to be honest. It would have been perfect at that point. We might go next year, not sure yet. read more

Wow! Truly a terrifying experience.. I definitely didn't expect to get a scared as I did but I would 100% recommend it. For someone who is an avid horror movie buff, I would like to say that their products and their characters are definitely like the movies. At one point they had a guy with water dripping down in the middle of a scene... (freakin wild to me) I brought my 4 aunts who are NOT halloween people.. but I can say they 100% enjoyed themselves. I would definitely recommend this place for those ready for a scare! Lastly, they are keeping everything COVID friendly!! Don't waste your money. Definitely not top 10 anything. I went on Saturday, October 29. No jump scares, costumes and props are average, and they treat it like a production line - you'll end up sandwiched between the group in front and behind you. Except for a couple of dark/foggy rooms, there is too much lighting; they don't even have people scaring in the dark rooms. They rely on loud noises for their scares, this place will only frighten children. Definitely not worth the price. read more
