Could not resist stopping by Crumbl as I was walking in the neighborhood. The smell of the delicious, baked cookies had me by the nose! I knew I stumbled upon something great when I saw the line, and every one patiently waiting for their order. Once you are inside which is a small location, place your order at the kiosk. Depending upon the orders ahead it may be a 10 minute wait. Listen for your name to be called. You can see the entire bake shop operation with the cookies baking. Very cool concept. The weekly rotating flavors are the biggest draw. I tried the strawberry biscotti, chocolate chip, and brown butter toffee cookies. Amazing, freshly baked, excellent selection, the taste was definitely 10 stars. The cookies are on the expensive side, 3 cookie were around $12 plus tip. The experience was perfect, service was a 5, all in all very happy with my experience. Tip: If you have time constraints, consider ordering in advance. This location can get crowded. read more

I'm a huge sucker for cheesecake, it's definitely my favorite option for dessert. Sadly, I put myself on a diet and I'm making sure I stick to it but I had to try a small portion. Crumbl is near where I play trivia on Saturday nights and there is always a queue out the door. Finally on a cold Saturday night, there were only a couple people inside. I ordered the chocolate and peanut butter cookie, but didn't actually know what to expect. The dessert is huge: with lots of whip cream, peanut butter pieces and chocolate mousse on top of the cookie base. It was pretty good but not amazing. I did eat the whole thing (over a few days). Is the cookie worth the wait? A definite yes. I passed by the Crumbl Chelsea location in the middle of the day on my way to an event and was greeted with a line that wrapped around the block. A few hours later we passing by again go see the line was slightly shorter and while discussing if we should even get cookies unconsciously found ourselves on the line while trying to look up the menu. The line moved at a reasonable pace and once we were inside, the smell of fresh baked cookies made us forget our order and us selecting every available cookie. The store is small, there are no seats and the line wraps shortly once on the inside. There is an ordering kiosk that takes your order and then they are quickly brought out to you in the pick up area. People were shuttling to the location via uber with their prepaid orders but couldn't find out how to pick them up. It turns out if you order online, you can head in and see on the pickup display screen when your order is ready but this is not indicated anywhere outside, so a number of people with ready to pick up orders found themselves online longer than they needed to be. The cookies are warm, soft and gooey in the middle. When they have it on the menu, the pink velvet cake cookie is truly the best. read more

Tiny store with kiosks to self order to the right as one enters. The aroma outside is sickly sweet. The quality is ordinary and didn't look appetizing. I pass Crumbl daily after finishing at the gym and it has never enticed me to enter. Yesterday, I decided to go in to see the Martha Stewart specials knowing that it had occurred last week. I ordered three small cakes through Will. Apparently, the Martha Stewart special was not successful. Some were left, so I chose the MS lemon cheesecake, the Dubai Chocolate cheesecake and another MS that I don't remember. This MS and Dubai Chocolate tasted ordinary. Only the lemon cheesecake was quite tasty. These three cost almost $15 which was too expensive. This will be my first and last time. Service was fine with employees wearing hair nets. Crumbl is a national chain ... Finally made it's way to NY over the last two years I believe. I've been hitting up these spots in every city and town I spot one. Mostly out of curiosity for the "flavors" of the day and for a sugar fix. Love that they now offer a 3 pack mini box ... because sometimes you can't eat just one giant cookie. (My kids and I can be indecisive when it comes to picking a flavor so the mini pack is the way to go). Hee hee Totally sweet, totally worth the diabetes (quoting a friend). And most spots open late, like 10pm or even midnight depending on location. This Chelsea spot is midnight! They do their baking on site so the cookies are super fresh and little to no waste at the end of the day. Store is very clean and organized. You can order at the kiosk or with a person at the counter. Super efficient as your name appears on a board to track your order progress. Within minutes, it's ready. It might have been someone's first week or something but with how expensive crumbl is, having our four pack of cookies be messed up was disappointing. It arrived about 30 minutes after I ordered it, however the delivery fee seemed a little excessive to me but I'm not very familiar with getting food delivered. I have been here a few times. I usually go after my fitness class. I know don't judge me . I've had a few selections. The menu seems to be different every time I go. I've had the chocolate chip, the birthday and the cookie that was like a pan shaped with a cream on top, can't remember the name. All of the cookies were good. I still don't feel like it beats insomnia but they are pretty good. The chocolate chip was huge but it tasted a little under cooked. I have so many thoughts on Crumbl that it's not even funny. I shouldn't have any thoughts is what it really boils down to. But I've seen way too many instagram videos that it's made me uncomfortable. I've seen the lines rolling out the door. Literally every single day. Like almost like these people are waiting on line for tickets to a concert levels of length of a line and at the oddest hours. Middle of a work day? Yes. Night time when you'd think people are at the bars? Absolutely. No, they're at Crumbl cookies. So, finally I caved after I noticed I had a birthday cookie to claim and that I could take literally an entire month to claim the cookie. I had come by once when they were doing a promotion. Someone told me they were giving out full sized cookies and it turned out to be a dixie cup of really bad tasting banana bread pudding. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and came in the middle of a work day this week. I legit had to wait on line over a half hour for a singular cookie and I can tell you exactly why. First, there is no one at the counter to greet you. They have electronic tablets so you can pay with only credit and figure it out yourself. If you need help, you will have to flag down an employee in the back that's furiously trying to scoop out cookie dough to bake it. They have to remove their gloves and start the process of human interaction from baking and do this multiple times over because EVERYONE on line including myself had problems with the electronic kiosk. Their second issue is that this business likes to make their cookies fresh to order. So they are baking what you order and what's on demand as you roll in. This may be why half the time I see a video review people show that the inside of the cookies are still raw. Personally, having family that's worked in the bakery industry I think this set up is ridiculous and time consuming. If a vast amount of cookies are baked early in the morning or over night they will still be fresh. You won't be ruining the experience for anyone. The lines would speed up and there would be no underbaking issues. Everyone is happy. Lastly, the cookie I choose was the peanut blossom. It was alright. It honestly tasted like something I could bake and have but in a larger format. I liked the chocolate frosting in the center but it could have used more of it if I had to nitpick on anything. The cakes worry me for the underbaking reasons and I regret not trying their regular chocolate chip or semi-sweet but maybe maybe one day I will be persuaded to try them again if the hype ever dies down. Yup! I am a fan. I discovered Crumbl in the Midwest. Now, since I have seen locations in NYC, I am excited. The special thing about crumbl is the consistency of their product no matter what flavor. I say this as an ode to them because I am not a cookie person usually because the moist, fresh, quality dies out after it is made, and then they are just basic crunchy cookies. But with crumbl, the freshness, moist, flavor is enduring. I bought two boxes of each flavor. One for home and one for friends. Everyone loved them. Plus, I can't get enough of their cookie cutter. So cute, so smart. My favorite flavor in this batch was the Chocolate Cupcake! Omg, it was delectable and tasted like perfect cake goodness. This was also the mystery one day only pick, so I was in luck. The other flavors included are listed in preference: Churro, Peach Pie, Triple Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Cup, and Semi sweet Chocolate Chunk. Love their seamless ordering system and friendly customer service! The only advice I would give is that they need bigger to go bags. I ordered 12 and needed to split them into two boxes. The icings were the perfect amount of sweet without being overpowering. I think I have officially become a Crumbl enthusiast. Now the only downside to this establishment is the long time waiting in line. It took 90 mins before I was able to reach the front of the line and buy cookies. Crumbl cookies just isn't for me it seems. They're not terrible, but they are very sweet and depending on your preference for texture, a little undercooked. Despite their name, the cookies are not quite crumbly, but rather, soft and chewy which can be satisfying in their own right, with a little slightly undercooked center. The sweetness was off the charts for most of the flavors, including the oatmeal maple, dulce de leche and birthday cake esp due to the intensity of the frosting. The best was the one without frosting - chocolate chip. However, there are many other preferred chocolate chip cookies in the city. I wouldn't recommend Crumbl overall, but I think this business caters more towards the up to 25 yo range. I would say that it's giving insomnia cookies and chip city had a baby.
