I feel very mixed. On one half, it was pretty good. On the other half, that Oreo crepe pictured was $14 and was pretty small relative to the box. I'm a bit turned off to the gimmick, but I will say the sweets are at least good. It's just expensive. There is some seating so you can sit and eat your dessert, but it is a small space overall so keep that in mind. No bathrooms! read more

Loved this place so much! I tried the Fettuccine crepe which comes with ice cream and both chocolate drizzles. It tasted amazing and I absolutely loved the aesthetic. The only bad thing was that there are only about three or four very small tables and no restroom but everything else was great! I would definitely go back for this again! read more

We stumbled upon this place after lunch when we were looking for a sweet treat. They have some chocolate covered fruits, crepes and waffles. We opted for the waffle with chocolate and fruit. The combination was great, but the waffle was a little stingy and had a lot of holes in it. I also wished they had the option of dark chocolate. This place is like super cute with such pretty pink decorations and so many backgrounds to take in front. I couldn't decide which ones to take my chocolate dips with. The service was quite quick and prepared each dip with love and care. I ordered the chocolate covered strawberries & waffles. It was so good and not too sweet. I don't know if I'll ever be able to happily eat a normal crepe from another place ever again after having the crepes at Chocolate Dip! What makes things so special here is that they use the most delicious and rich Belgian chocolate in their crepes and treats rather than stuff from a bottle or a jar. I'm not even a chocolate person, but I'm obsessed with their Brownie Crepe: just imagine a a dense, fudgy brownie wrapped in a chewy crepe shell and drizzled in three different flavors of rich chocolate. You'll absolutely want to add a scoop of ice cream to whatever treat you order, as the ice cream they have tastes very fresh and compliments the rich chocolate nicely. I was so happy to be invited to try this new location in Manhattan. I love sweets and was looking forward to it. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. When I walked in they allowed me to come to the back and video how they make the treats I got the brownie crepe and my friend got the burrito crepe. They way they make everything was very cool. Came to this cute little place in the village this week and loved the concept. Got there at opening so we watched them turn on the fountains. There are plenty of waffles, fruits and crepes to choose from and white and regular chocolate to drip or drizzle. Everything is made right in front of you and made to order so it's all fresh. Food: - Ordered the milk chocolate covered strawberries. They messed up and drizzled some white chocolate on them and instead of giving me a new one they just drizzled milk chocolate over the white to try and cover it. It wasn't a huge deal - but thinking about if someone was allergic that's not good. - The chocolate strawberries were tasty but not worth the trip. Service: - Not super friendly. The staff looked like they hate being there. I almost walked out because it was so uninviting. Ambiance: - Very pink but done in a cheap way. Don't really like the decor at all. This is the perfect spot for anyone with a sweet tooth. I walked past this place and saw how good the decoration was. Made me decide to come in and try it out. Price is very reasonable considering how much you get out of it. I ordered a brownie crepe with chocolate and vanilla on to. I was absolutely in love with how good it turned out to be. I wasn't able to finish it myself and had to share it with someone else. Take your time and eat it slowly because you will enjoy every bite you take. They also dip different fruits like strawberry into the chocolate fountain they have which also tastes really good!! There is seating available inside but its very limited. This spot is a chocolate lovers DREAM. Note: there are two locations! Check out the location on 177 Orchard St as well. Definitely recommend the delicious waffles, dipped in both milk & white belgian chocolate. I also really love their lotus biscoff crepes as well as fettuccine crepes. They have waffle sticks as well, and chocolate covered strawberries and even brownie sticks dipped in chocolate! The LES location has both indoor & outdoor seats. This small little place was a hit !! My daughter loved the chocolate covered strawberries on a stick . She really enjoyed the fresh strawberries with either a choice of milk chocolate or white chocolate. You could add other toppings if you want but my daughter kept it simple with a side of strawberry cream or ice cream I'm not sure what it was but it was delicious. My first time ever getting chocolate dip and it was DELICIOUS. The Belgian Waffle taste like just like in Belgium (I am French/Belgian with other mixes). The white chocolate dip was top tier. I founded it a little too pricey considering the cashier messed up my order and seemed fed up after I called him out on the wrong he's done. Crepes were delicious, Belgian chocolate sauce on top was top-notch. Some might call it excessively rich, but they are wrong. It was really good drunk food, except the portion could be too big for one person. Be smart, share the crepe, would be economical considering how each crepe costs at least $12 with ice cream. I seriously loved this fun, cute, and delicious little dessert spot on MacDougal St. This charming cafe has two large chocolate fondue fountains that make their desserts just amazing. We had the Fettuccine Crepe and it was perfect. The crepes were decadent and engulfed with delicious chocolate with vanilla ice cream in the center. Even their food packaging is nice! I had high hopes for this spot - as I love sweets and I live literally across the street from them. But it saddens me to write this saying they are not doing any favors to our street. I am happy for them to get business, but they are not handling it properly! The trash I see from this place and their customers are always found on the streets of our neighborhood. It's disgusting. Get some outside trash receptacles in your outdoor dining spot and clean up your messes. Then there are these huge lines you all get at night. No one is monitoring the lines especially during COVID times - also loud and disturbing. Then lastly, your outdoor dining area. Man, it has gone downhill. This cute restaurant is one of the many food spots on the block, but has to be the most aesthetically pleasing. Their wall of pink flowers initially drew me in, but when I saw the chocolate fountains inside, I went right in. They mostly serve crepes, fruit, and of course waffles smothered in chocolate. Their most popular item is the waffle stick which is what I ended up getting. It was delicious! The chocolate tasted expensive and creamy! I also got the brownie crepe which was very decadent with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Trust me, you need the ice cream to balance the richness. I would definitely come back to try their banana sushi crepes! The only reason I'm knocking off a star is due to their lack of COVID safety precautions. They are a very small restaurant and I was able to nab the only table to eat my food. However, large groups kept coming in to order (maybe 5-8 people) and there was no social distancing. Many customers came in without masks and the servers didn't say anything. It made me uncomfortable because I was eating in the corner. I know that's the risk I take by choosing to dine inside, but it was freezing out and I thought we would be the only diners since there's only one table. I checked their social media and they seem to be posting a lot of videos and pictures of their customers packed inside without masks. I wish they would take the pandemic more seriously. As i was having a bad day i decided around 9pm to crave dessert. I'm unsure as to where I've seen this place but it was on my mind. When i searched them up i was a little nervous because of the time. When i tell you i got up and ready so quickly; you would've thought something happend, but the place said it closes at 2am. I was overly excited. When i get there i was like " omg no! So anyways, i get to the front is a couple people inside but the line is moving at a decent pace. Once i got to the front i was able to order waffle stick with its rich chocolate and white swirls and strawberries covered in their rich chocolate and white swirls ( white swirls is basically white rich chocolate), also, added in a side of ice cream because, umm, hello!! ice cream and chocolate covered waffle stick is the perfect combo. This place is popping. We came late at night when everything around was closed except this place. We waiting in line to order for 45 mins. The place is small so you can imagine how many people were standing around in the shop and outside the door. There was no social distancing at all which is why I knocked a star off due to safety precautions due to covid. No one was wearing a mask and employees didn't say anything. We got the waffle stick, chocolate covered strawberries and a dish called the lotus. My favorite was the waffle stick. The chocolate was so tasty and creamy. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.
