Came here and got the loaded fries with clam chowder. It was a massive bowl of fries with chowder and it was actually quite tasty. We also tried the pepper tuna sandwich and that was also a massive piece of tuna in a sandwich. Overall, food tasted good but the service was really slow. First stop upon arriving in PTown! We were strolling down commercial street, noticed the adorable, colorful patio and decided "this is where we shall stop". Loved the patio vibe, and my first PTown cocktail, the froze, was delicious. Omg, it hit the spot. While cocktails in PTown will be on the pricey side, this one delivered. Tasty and packed a slight punch. My daughter thought her coconut marg was fabulous, too. Plus they have a selection of craft beer for the husband! ;-) As for the food... yum. I don't often get a burger; I rarely eat red meat. But these burgers came from grass fed cows (a huge plus for me). And I'm a sucker for a peanut butter burger. If you've never tried one, you don't know what you're missing. It was so good and so filling - it really hit the spot. Fries, both sweet potato and regular were perfect thickness. So we stumbled upon this place a few weekends ago after just arriving in P town. We were hungry and wanted to get our drank on. Two seats had just opened up at the bar so we snagged those bad boys and got to work making our way through the menu. I ordered a margarita which was tangy and spicy. We saw clam chowder poutine fries so obviously that was the appetizer we ordered. The fries themselves were shoe-string and crisp to DEATH. The chowdah was good and thick. I could detect very small clam meat which made it difficult for my usually vegetarian self to avoid. If you do eat shellfish and enjoy a nice chowdah, this is a must order. I would put my face in it if I could. I also ordered the humdinger sandwich with roasted garlic and red pepper hummus, goat cheese, pesto, cucumber, tomato, and mixed greens in a nice and soft pita. How AMAZING does that ingredient combo sound? I elected to have some greens on the side instead of fries given our appetizer and they were dressed to perfection. Not only does this taste delicious but I felt good enough about myself to have a license to eat like complete shit for the rest of the day! We came to Provincetown for the day and had come here before a few years back and enjoyed it-outside seating for people watching. We brought our puppy and two teens with us. Our group of six (which included my parents and two kids) stopped in for drinks and apps after walking around Commercial Street. It had some patrons, but not busy. Food and apps were fine. There are better places along Commercial Street. At the end, the server handed my husband the check and the machine to pay together. There was no mention of a 20% gratuity automatically added, so he tipped 20% on top of that. We caught it right after but were told there was nothing the server could do as there was no manager there so we were out of luck. Yes, we should have read the bill more carefully before cashing out - we own that. But I also have been a server myself and would 100% tell people about an added gratuity and frankly, it's ridiculous it got applied to our table in the first place. Good beer list, but we only stopped by here for the Cape Cod Summer Ale. Pleased to find it here on tap, and so enjoyable to drink on a hot summer day. But when we returned 2 days later they were out. What? Out of Cape Cod's best summer beer? Shame. Food for us was ok, we went simple with their Cape Codder salad, and added chicken. But the prices here are way too high, $12 for a salad, then another $6 for the grilled chicken. And $7 for the beer. I get Ptown is a tourist location, but the prices were high for the value of serving. Then service here is just average also, some long waits at first, and nothing more than you'd expect. I came here years ago and loved it. Recently my boyfriend and I took a trip to ptown and I couldn't wait to bring him here. I had been talking up the place for years and was super excited for it. We were seated quickly and put in an order for our drinks. The first two beers we ordered were out, so we accommodated and ordered something different. No issues at all. Next we put in our food orders. I tried to order the beyond burger, as I haven't eaten meat in 17 years so seafood/meat burgers aren't an option for me. Our waitress told us they are also all out of beyond burgers. At this point my boyfriend and I realized we couldn't get dinner here, but we had already gotten drinks so we decided to just order an appetizer with our drinks, then head out and find dinner elsewhere. We were polite, understanding and accommodating despite not being able to eat a full meal. We even said "oh shoot, we don't eat meat so we'll just get an appetizer." Our waitress scoffed at us and said, "If you're just going to get drinks and an appetizer you should've sat yourselves at the bar." We were so taken aback by this. We had planned to have a full meal here but they were out of everything we could eat within our dietary restrictions. To not be rude, we stayed for some food even though we would just have to go somewhere else for an actual meal after. Our waitress was rude and not understanding at all. I've never written a bad review on service in my life but it's been days and I'm still aggravated by this. Really sucks because I talked this place up so much and they ended up being out of all the food and drinks we came for, and the server was extremely rude on top of it. Inside is spacious but got crowded very quickly. The chowder fries were interesting - good fries, almost like a chowder with extra crispy potatoes inside. The burgers were yummy.
