Did take out this evening and it did not disappoint. The place was busy and the staff is always friendly.

We took a few extra days in the area after a recent work trip to Cape Cod. We had to board our pups during the preceding week so as soon as we picked them up, we needed to make up for lost time. We also needed something to eat and this place checked both of those boxes. We arrived during the "breakfast" service. You can order at the counter but to the surprise of the person working there, they also offer table service if you are looking for more of a dining in experience. Despite their thorough menu for other meals, they don't do anything crazy for breakfast. Egg sandwiches on a few types of bread with or without a meat is pretty much the extent of it. I took them up on their egg and cheese sandwich on an english muffin. GF ordered an egg and cheese on an everything bagel with a side of hash browns. The service was excellent, everyone was super nice and took wonderful care of us. They brought out a bowl of water for our pups which was so sweet although they promptly tipped the whole thing over. We sat on their patio which was simultaneously lovely as well as provided exposure to the humid cape cod elements. For something as simple as an egg sandwich, it was quite good. The egg was cooked perfectly and I can be picky about that. GF also goes through frequent love/hate relationships with eggs, mostly the later, and she consumed the entire thing without difficulty. The hash browns were extremely crispy. There was no menu provided for breakfast drinks maybe because most people are more civilized than us so I had to off the cuff this order. GF wanted a bloody mary which they confirmed they could provide so I just went with that. I am also very picky about bloodies and I know I sound like a difficult person at this point but literally the only things I am particularly picky about are eggs and bloody marys so usually I am not this insufferable lmao. I will say that I was very pleased by their BM. At a minimum, I was physically able to drink all of it, but I also enjoyed it which is saying A LOT for me and a restaurant bloody mary. Great experience. We would have returned the next day for lunch but I happened to be wearing the same shirt (running out of shit in my suitcase) and I couldn't bear to show my face like that again. Recommended.

I can't say enough about The Seal restaurant in Harwich. The menu was eclectic to say the least. There were a wide variety of salads, sandwiches and dishes to choose from. The service was phenomenal and the portions will have you requesting a doggy bag! Speaking of dogs, they have their own bakery on premises, with homemade dog biscuits. We took some cheesecake and carrot cake home with us because we were too full to partake in dessert. The prices are average for the Cape, but you get your money's worth! They have a full bar with a wide variety of drinks. We'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. My only worry about posting this is that too many people will ruin the quaint ambiance of this establishment. We had nachos, blackened swordfish salad, and the Bangkok chicken salad with peanut sauce.

This review is based off breakfast! We enjoyed our meal at the seal pub and cafe. We came in one morning for a breakfast stop and it was delicious! We both got iced coffee that was strong and well done. Recommend trying the breakfast sandwhich with a Portuguese roll- it's incredible. Cute spot and you can sit outside!

Wish I could keep this place a secret! Loved the atmosphere and the service here was so amazing. I ordered the chicken sliders - pizza- onion soup, and Thai wings. All were delicious. My favorite were the sliders, very filling came with fries and came on brioche buns! YUMMY. I did think the onion soup was pricey for what is it (onions and broth) however it was a large size to share ! Plus it's the cape so it's expected to be higher prices. I can't wait to go back and my dog loved it she's going to be expecting another piece of bacon when she comes back. It's always so hard finding dog friendly places.

Stopped in for lunch today and sat outside on the deck to enjoy the great weather. was acknowledged and seated promptly. They only have high top tables so don't expect to find regular seating. Menu isn't large but offers a good selections of breakfast, appetizers, sandwiches, and full entree options. We ordered the French onion soup and the fish and chips. Good selection of specialty drinks available but we opted for soft drinks. They were pretty busy so it took a little while for the food to arrive but the wait was well worth it. Expecting a medium crock of the soup we were surprised to see very large crocs of soup with cheese flowing over the edges covering two thick slices of bread with plenty of onions and a flavorful broth. The soup was boiling hot and our fish and chips were ready a few minutes later so we put the soup aside knowing it needed to cool down so that we could safely eat and enjoy it. The fish dish included two large pieces of lightly breaded fish and a very large portion of fries. The breading in the fish was very light and crispy and was perfect for the flaky fish. A side of tartar sauce was included along with lemon. We thoroughly enjoyed the fish given its light flaky texture. I did find a few fries that were barely cooked but overlooked that given how well the fish was cooked. We devoured the fish and went back to the soup which by this time cooled down but was still hot enough that we still needed to take time eating it. The broth didn't have a great depth of flavor but it was still quite enjoyable. The onions were cooked very well. We were glad that we took a chance and stopped in and we may make a return trip to try some of their other menu items such as their Philly cheese steak sandwich which looked interesting. All in all a good meal.

Service was very attentive and informative, and food recommendations were spot on. The special salad of spinach, goat cheese, strawberries and tomatoes was divine - one of the best starter salads ever! Bone-in pork chop with asparagus and roasted potatoes was fantastic, as was the duck w risotto. Salmon was excellent. But the culinary "coup de grâce" was the sorbet!! Truly one of the best desserts ever!! Served with fresh berries and a large cookie. Overall, a great dining experience, albeit a bit on the expensive side. The bill, including tax/tip (and one cocktail ea.) was about $100 pp.

I also remember that, even though the waitress said it was her favorite as soon as I took a bite I could tell it was a dish I did not care for. I ate a few bites and left the rest. It was some kind of steak with a special preparation. I've looked at the restaurant menu but do not see it listed. It was a special for that evening. The restaurant had a nice Cape Cod feel to it, and it was crowded. There was a large party sitting near by and the acoustics being what they are, it was a little noisy but they left after a bit. The lighting was dim, but it was a pleasant evening and the service was great. They had a nice selection of wines. My friend had the Eggplant Vindaloo, which I had considered ordering and it was a huge serving. She took it back and ate it for several days. Another friend ordered and ate appetizers and loved the Maine Mussels Dijonnaise. I guess it was just my luck of the draw. I should have gone with my first idea and ordered the Eggplant. Or the Mussels. Despite being disappointed with my entree, it was a wonderful place to enjoy an evening with friends.

It was a nice time to visit, relaxed and not too crowded. We ordered a Caesar salad, steak tips, fried seafood platter (fresh cod, scallops, and clams with fries and coleslaw), clam chowder, and a kids' grilled cheese. Overall, the fried seafood platter was the standout and definitely the best way to sample a bit of everything. The fish, scallops, and clams were all fresh and nicely fried, and the portion was generous. The steak tips were also solid, tender and well-seasoned. The clam chowder was decent, though not especially memorable. The kids' grilled cheese was a bit overdone on the outside and came out slightly burnt, but otherwise was fine for a simple kid's meal. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere had that classic Cape Cod waterfront feel that makes it an easy, casual dining spot. We did notice quite a few tables ordering the lobster roll, which we'll probably try next time we visit since it seemed to be one of the more popular items. Overall, Brax Landing Restaurant is a solid, casual seafood spot with good variety, worth a visit, especially for the fried seafood platter.

This is a solid option for seafood and American food in Harwich Port. My girlfriend's family all ordered a seafood dish (scallops, lobster roll, and seafood platter) but I opted for a hamburger as I am not a huge seafood fan (ironic in Cape Cod). I took a bite of some of the seafood dishes and objectively can say they were pretty good! I was a fan of my girlfriend's lobster roll. My burger was standard, but it also came with Canadian bacon which I have never seen before on a burger. It was a good addition. Fries were very good as well. Service was great. They also have waterfront dining outside. Definitely a solid option for seafood.
