Jamie W and I were walking our way back from Boy Beach where there were plenty of boys and some actual men as well (review: https://yelp.to/24M6YE1uvS). The eye candy must've made us peckish (pardon the pun) because as we strolled into town, we kept our eyes out for an inviting place to nosh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bubala's met our immediate requirement with a huge outdoor terrace with plenty of open tables available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We just grabbed one with the clearest view of the passing meat parade.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had dinner ahead of us at Sal's, so we decided to split the $17 Fresh Tuna Salad Sandwich which was pretty tasty since the tuna was rubbed with spice and mixed with a buttermilk dill dressing and layered with tomato slices on whole wheat toast. It came with fries which always makes life better (Photo 10). FOOD - 4 stars...sometimes you can't beat a fresh tuna salad sandwich with fries [[HIGHLIGHT]]AMBIANCE - 4 stars...the expansive terrace is quite inviting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] SERVICE - 4 stars...veteran crew keeps things rolling TOTAL - 4 stars...time to sing Connie Francis' "Where the Boys Are" RELATED - Exploring Provincetown? We finally got the opportunity to check out Bubala's for dinner. We had been a few times prior for lunch and brunch and had a decent enough time, but I'm glad we finally went at night because their dinner entrées are surprisingly quite good! I would describe the overall vibe at Bubala's as casual and no-nonsense... more of what I would consider a rustic, beach town aesthetic. In other words, the place features basic weather-proof furniture, lots of outside dining space (although they have plenty of seating inside), and plenty of beach decor and colors. Speaking of food, for lunch, I've tried a number of their handhelds--burgers and sandwiches. All are pretty good, but I especially like their fries. Some of the stand out entrées that we tried at dinner included the Seafood Cassoulet and Cod in Parchment. Oh, and the wings were quite tasty, too! Final thoughts = Check this place out if you hit up Provincetown. You likely won't have to wait long, and there's bound to be something on the menu that satisfies any craving you might have.

This was a Scallop special that was not on the menu. It had scallops, bacon, mushrooms, linguini in a creamy garlic sauce.

My family and I had a great meal at Bubala's. The host and our server were very nice. The server was very helpful answering our questions and explaining the specials that night. I love the scallop special that I had. My son had a burger that he said was yummy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the scene there at night time on the street. It was fun to watch everyone walking by.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Perfect night to sit outside for dinner!

Food was absolutely delicious! I was a bit worried because the menu doesn't list any gluten free items, but they accommodated me (celiac) and ensured my meal was safe from cross contamination. I got the cod in parchment (cooked to perfection). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely staff, great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Perfect night out!

Don't be fooled by the looks of it - it looks like a casual tavern. This is a gem in P-town. Fresh delicious food, quiet atmosphere and high demand. We were at the back patio for dinner. I had the cod in parchment - soft cod with herbs, potatoes and asparagus baked in a parchment. Very flavorful; enjoyed every bite! We also got the beet salad (beets on a bed of arugula) and the Greek tacos. For the Greeks out there: those are soft taco tortilla filled with ground lamb and topped with tzatziki sauce. Beans come on the side. Very filling meal. Overall, delightful dinner! We will go back before we leave P-town!

Cute location, decent amount of indoor/outdoor space. I got the Thai chicken salad, it was pretty good. There were more noodles than I expected, but that's ok. The dressing they use is perfect. Overall hit the spot.

NOTE: our waiter was inexplicably and somewhat aggressively handsy with me. A special thank you to Elia, who helped us with our reservation, accommodated a change, and even helped with a gift card. That kind of attention and care set the tone before we even arrived. It made a real difference. The hostess at the front desk was also incredibly kind and helpful, and we appreciated that right away. We were seated upstairs in a beautiful room that felt intimate and special, perfect for celebrating the holiday. The food exceeded our expectations. We started with the crab cakes and watermelon salad, both excellent. I had the chicken, Scott had the lobster, and both were outstanding. What made the night memorable wasn't just the food, though -- it was the hospitality. You can tell when a restaurant has people who genuinely care about the guest experience, and Helltown delivered that in every way. We'll absolutely be back.

The green goddess dressing on the spring vegetable salad really stood out! It balanced out the sweetness of the fresh peas. I ordered the scallop and shrimp entree ($43) which came with coconut basmati rice, grilled asparagus, and a bright mango salad. I'm still thinking about the flavor on the seafood--I was practically licking the plate! My dining partner got the lamb skewer ($28) and particularly liked the side sauce it came with. We finished with the lemon tart ($13), which was like a deconstructed lemon bar. It came with a sugar cookie on the side and fresh mint. It was so good that we were scraping the bowl! The service was swift and professional. Overall, Joon's vibe is stylish, upscale, and perfect for a special night out!

The ambience is lovely...it feels high-end without being pretentious. Food choices provide something for everyone, including those with any kind of gluten sensitivity and other dietary restrictions. Our server was excellent and all of the food was outstanding. Personally, I thought that my salmon was one of the best pieces of cooked salmon I've ever had. (I prefer my salmon raw and tend to shy away from cooked salmon because it's usually overcooked and dry.) Others at the table had the duck sliders, the special oxtail soup, the burger and a different fish dish. Rave reviews all around. Cocktails were also well done! Dessert was decadent and was plenty for sharing. I will definitely visit Joon again when I'm in town.

Most recently, I visited with a group of friends after the PMC ride. Some had completed the race while others were there to support them, so we were arriving and leaving at different times. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating, allowing us to swap diners in and out so we could all spend time together (something many restaurants wouldn't have been able to accommodate). They also welcomed our dog, bringing her ice water on a very hot day and plenty of treats. I wish I could remember the manager's name because he was outstanding, not just with our group, but with every guest who walked through the door. Exceptional hospitality that keeps us coming back.
