Phenomenal! 1815 Tavern has three beautiful dinning spaces the sun room, the fireplace room, and the bar. The intimate space is charming and does a great job of incorporating the 200 year old history of the building. You can tell the owners put a lot of hard work and heart into their creation. The Chef worked just as hard creating a fresh, local menu. We started our evening with the Meat & Cheese Board and Chicken Meatballs. Both were amazing! The Meat & Cheese Board arrived with a plentiful selection of charcuterie and cheeses. The Chicken Meatballs were amazing as well. They arrived in a cast iron cocotte still marinating in the sauce that it was cooked in. We then moved onto our salads. Our server, described that the lettuce and cheese for our salads was locally sourced. A huge plus in my book! I had the Beet Salad and my friend had the Wedge. The roasted beets complimented the goat cheese very well. I really liked the addition of walnuts. My friend really enjoyed 1815's take on the Wedge salad. For our entrées, we had the 14 oz Strip Steak and the Open Faced Ravioli. Both were cooked to perfection and had side dishes that complimented the main dish very well. The 14 oz Strip Steak did not disappoint. It came with a blue cheese risotto and had cooked mushrooms on top. My friend loved the Ravioli. The braised beef was so tender. I also couldn't help but look over to the table sitting next to us eating the pizza. It looked incredible. By that point in the meal, I had already started deciding what I would order next time. The wood fired pizza will definitely be on that list. Our server kindly went over the list of homemade desserts and homemade ice creams. Unfortunately, we were pretty full. 14 oz of steak has that effect. They all sounded delicious. Definitely, next time! The waitstaff was ATTENTIVE and VERY friendly. We had a kind lady come to our table to ask about our evening. I think her name was Kim. We told her how pleased we were. It's always great to see a manager on the floor. It shows true sincerity. First off, I have eaten at 1815 Tavern probably 6-7 times and every experience I've had has been tremendous. Their bartenders are extremely friendly and the wait staff has been on point. The food has been terrific as well so I'm surprised to hear about some of the yelp reviews. Their pizzas are delicious and the pork loin currently on the menu is out of this world good (not to mention their breading pudding...OMG good). Their beef stroganoff is extremely tasty and that takes a lot for me to say because I was never a fan of beef stroganoff going back to my childhood. A few weeks ago they had special dessert on the menu, which was a peach crumble cheesecake...holy cow, it was to die for! Beer selection is outstanding featuring many local breweries, which is nice to see the owner supporting local Ohio Breweries including Fat Head, Columbus Brewing Co., etc. This restaurant is truly a special place and doesn't get enough credit based on these Yelp Reviews in my personal opinion. This is definitely a five star establishment! Absolutely wonderful! I took a party of 25 there for Sunday brunch on August 28th to celebrate my daughter's birthday following my son's wedding the previous day. We had mostly out of town guests, with a few locals, and chose to be seated in the fireplace room. Between all of us, most things on the menu were consumed, and we were all absolutely wowed by the food, drinks, service and atmosphere. This place is TOP NOTCH - nothing lacking! The staff even brought out the cake (which we had brought with us) while we all sang "Happy Birthday", then plated it for us, and served it. I can't stress enough how great the brunch food and service was. Our crowd is still marveling at what a fabulous experience we all had at the 1815 Tavern. Needless to say, we'll be back! read more

Great new restaurant. Apparently the 1815 refers to the year the building was originally built as a tavern. Very cozy comfortable interior. Friendly service. Great craft beer selection. The wood fired oven pizzas were just about perfect as well as the ravioli dish. And we ordered an extra piece of the carrot cake to take home after sharing one and finding out how good it was. read more

The drinks were HORRIBLE and the food mediocre. We brought guests with us, and we were very embarrassed by the food.
