Makeup and hair on my pillow case when I arrived! Dusty floors. Toilet didn't flush. Dirty. Staff defensive and poorly trained. Staff cussed.

2 full/twin bunk beds in the room for the teens unit #691

Great condo, Great price! Unit #691 We got a 4 bedroom 3 bath unit which was a perfect retreat for us this summer. We had 3 families: 6 adults & 4 teens (and 4 mountain bikes) We assigned one bathroom to each family (for showers, changing etc.) and we all fit comfortably. The 1st floor had 2 bedrooms, both with King beds. One had a master bath that could also be entered from the hall ,and the other room was a tight fit, just big enough for the King bed, dresser a little walking room around the bed, with a guest bath in the hall. The kitchen was a nice size and had most everything needed to cook at home like, pots/pans, knives, dishes, glasses, bake-ware, utensils, scissors, etc (bring your own spices, foil, baggies). We get all the kids to help cook and clean, so we like a big kitchen. The living room was roomy with a huge L-shaped, leather couch and super comfy recliner. The dining room had a nice sized table which sat 8 comfortably, but could squeeze in more, and also had a long window seat where others could sit. One of the dining chairs seemed to be on it's last leg...pun intended...lol. The top floor had 2 bedrooms and 1 bath (tub-shower). One room had 2 queen beds and was roomy with windows that looked over the living room (blinds for privacy). The other had 2 bunk beds (full/twin)and a window seat. The teens hung out in this room a lot. The unit also had access to a rec room with ping-pong table, foosball and an exercise bike, a pool, jacuzzi and sauna and a huge bbq. There were DVDs available for $3 at the check-in desk. This was all great extras for the kids. It was super easy and fast to check-in. The staff was very down to earth and friendly. They gave us 3 keys and maps. The unit is a close drive to everything. It was quiet & peaceful. There is no air conditioning, but with all the windows open it kept a nice air flow. All the rooms had TV sets. We never ran out of warm water for showers. Fun story: At 5am we woke to neighbors yelling and using their remote to honk the car horn. Seems a bear was trying to get in their Lexus. The bear wouldn't scare off...finally the bear opened the car door...2 baby bears popped out and off they all went. It seems the bear had opened the car door and then bumped it closed, trapping the baby bears inside. The car was thrashed inside...the material on the inside doors were all tore up. The Moral to the Story: Believe the rule-- DON'T leave ANY food in your car!

The unit had some nice upgrades and the online images were accurate to what we received. Check in and out was straightforward and we didn't encounter any surprises beyond what we agreed to pay for the stay. They have a large selection of properties to choose from and customer service was spot on for us.

OWNER BEWARE -- UNAUTHORIZED ACH DISPUTE, MONTHS OF LOST REVENUE, AND EXCESSIVE FEES…read more My experience with Nomadness Rentals was an absolute nightmare. They left my newly prepared Mammoth Lakes property effectively unadvertised and without a single paid booking for more than three months, despite my repeatedly asking why the listing was not live and what they were doing to generate reservations. While my property sat vacant and I lost substantial rental income, Nomadness continued charging me for setup, inspections, lock installation and programming, maintenance coordination, subscriptions, cleaning-related requirements, and other fees. The worst part was a $1,817.17 ACH debit from my bank account that I formally disputed as unauthorized. My position has consistently been that the account was provided to receive owner payouts--not for Nomadness to withdraw whatever charges it chose. Owners should be extremely cautious about giving this company access to a checking account and should require written approval for every single expense. In my experience, their business model appeared far more focused on generating recurring and mandatory fees from property owners than on successfully marketing and renting the property. Owners are pushed to purchase equipment, install specific items, use designated services or contractors, pay upfront setup costs, and continue paying recurring fees--even when the company's actual performance is extremely poor. I personally found these practices deceptive, predatory, and completely unacceptable. After months of delays, zero paid occupancy, disputed charges, and lost revenue, I had no confidence that Nomadness was acting in my best interest as the property owner. I strongly caution all property owners--particularly first-time vacation-rental owners, elderly owners, or anyone who may not closely examine every invoice and bank transaction--to review every contract provision, preserve every email, refuse open-ended ACH authorization, and demand written approval before any charge is incurred. Based on my documented experience, I would never trust Nomadness Rentals with another property, another bank account, or another dollar. Avoid this company.

I planned this trip with a group of friends, and they could not stop commenting about how the chalets was the best stay they've been in at Mammoth. We stayed at chalet #9 which was not a ski out, but a very short walk to the main lodge/lifts and definitely a ski in from lower road runner. The chalet itself was cozy with plentiful seating, and even extra foldable chairs for our group. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms came equipped with hotel sized toiletries, which was a nice touch. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped with all the necessities, along with a fridge/freezer that was the perfect size to fit all of our weekend groceries. I also appreciated that they even had a huge pot to make group meals like pho, even though I had already brought my own instant pot. I would 110% stay here again and recommend the chalets to all of my family and friends. This was such a wonderful find. Thank you for the awesome stay Mammoth Mountain Chalets! :)

Also an outdoor bbq at each place made dinner prep for our large group really easy. There is a ski rental place right in the village which was perfect and easy. Would definitely come back. Encourage anyone who is looking for an easy vacation in mammoth, with access to everything to book treehouse 1 and 2 or either one of you have a smaller group. Also, forgot to mention. Each level has an elevator so you don't have to carry your luggage up stairs. Huge benefit. And to top it off my son left his wallet there and David mailed it back to me! Craig

It's advisable to go earlier rather than later because they might run out of the entree you want. They make stuff fresh daily, so that's a danger. The hardworking server managed the front end solo. She did a good job. My 1/2 lb bison burger patty was cooked to delicious perfection. Having a non-dehydrated meal after an 8- day BP trip was a treat. Having this bison burger meal with the option of 2 side dishes was heavenly. No, potato fries wasn't one of the choices. I did choose the asparagus and zucchini cooked in marinara sauce and the restuffed baked half potato. This was an exceptional meal that was almost too big for me to finish, but I managed! The bison meat was flavorful and had not the slightest greasy quality about it. Getting meals of this quality when far off the beaten track is a delightful expectation when at Mono Hot Springs. You would be hard-pressed to find a meal this good in the towns further down the mountain.
