We love staying at St. Anton condos. They switched over to NoMadness recently to complete their bookings. When we called, the receptionist was kind and friendly. When we told her what we were looking for she immediately suggested condo #63. It was perfect! I received timely communications. They send you a link to your registration portal. Make sure you click on this link - everything you need to know is in this portal! St. Anton's - was quiet. The condo was beautiful. The Bobby Flay pans were awesome! The St. Anton maintenance guy was super helpful (help us carry our ice chest down the stairs) and a hard worker! The only downfall was they were replacing the roof but we already knew that was happening. One suggestion-St. Anton needs to use a solar panel system to heat the pool. It is an ice bath year round. No one can enjoy the pool at any time of the year! Mammoth gets pretty warm in the summer. NoMadness- The check-in/check-out process was easy. The keyless entry was a plus. I liked not worrying about a key. Upon check in, there was an energy cookie and a visitors guide. We didn't have any issues with the condo, so I didn't have to contact them throughout our stay. At the end of our stay, they offered us a late check out. The text came at 6pm. I immediately answered. The text said they would respond during business hours. I figured they were closed. Someone immediately texted back and said we were given late check out permission. Overall, we were so happy with our experience. We never wanted to leave. read more

St. Mortimer -- READ Nomadness Rentals on Trustpilot before you book. Terrible support. At first impression, the unit is cute, quaint, and centrally located. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. During a 3-night stay, we experienced numerous maintenance failures and extremely poor support. This unit is clearly not well maintained. The first night, the circuit breaker tripped and we lost power and lights in most of the unit for 12 hours. I called and messaged repeatedly and could not get help. Cooking in pitch black wasn't easy. There was no after-hours emergency number on their voicemail at the time (this appeared only AFTER the incident when I complained). I requested compensation and received none. I was even told there were "no issues," despite being on the phone during business hours and receiving verbal instructions on how to fix it myself. This involved first finding the circuit box outside, then resetting the switches & GFI buttons inside. Finding the unit was also unnecessarily difficult. It's in Building G. We searched for 45 minutes in the dark. This information is buried under "Amenities" instead of being included with check-in instructions. When I pointed this out, I was treated like I was the problem. Additional issues included a TV that randomly stopped working (outlet broke), an extremely finicky furnace (we fixed a broken wire), a broken wall heater, an unsafe and unusable couch bed (claiming it is 'fine' should reflect their standards) pellet bags piled in the living area, flimsy fixtures, a shower door that wouldn't close, and loud furnace/vent noises at night. They want to argue with me because they say it's an easy fix. Well this isn't my house. All I know is the power is out and I have no help in the dark. Don't know where the box is don't know the switches. Plus this was fun- they had a lock in the circuit box! No accountability. Bottom line: poorly maintained unit and terrible management. The late check-out situation this morning was unacceptable. I was offered the option to check out at 12 instead of 10 and told to confirm with the office which I did immediately. Then I heard nothing back from anyone all night. In the morning, after sending more texts and phone calls to confirm and hearing nothing I figured I had the late check out. But then the company told me I did not, in fact have it BUT if I wanted to pay $100 / hour I could stay until twelve. I felt completely scammed. Either I can stay or I can't but to charge me for something I was offered for free is horrible customer service. We loved the cabin (even though the wifi never worked) but will think twice booking through Nomadness or Horizon 4 again. read more

Do NOT use this company! They are irresponsible and deceptive. We spent 5 sleeplessness nights in their rental (2 large dogs upstairs on hardwood floors) and they took zero accountability for the problem. They claim to have no knowledge of their rental properties and buyer beware. When I politely explained the problem they were rude and dismissive (the response came from "upper management" which shows the companies utter disregard for their guests). The rental policy stated that pets were strictly prohibited. But they did not explain that policy applied only to the rental unit, not the entire building. I have rented many properties around the world and have never encountered such lack of transparency, arrogance and lack of concern or care for their customers. Despicable and sad. read more

BEWARE!!! This company will leave you high and dry then try to blame you for all that's wrong. CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY AND DO NOT GET CAUGHT IN A TERRIBLE RENTAL! I wish I would have researched the company before spending over $2,000 a night for my rental, I regret supporting a business that does nothing to support or make right their wrongs. Issues: -Kitchen appliances filthy and looked second hand there was coffee left in the coffee machine from previous guest -huge window boarded up -the heater didn't warm house above 60 -hot tub was being repaired while we checked in -repairs left carpets drenched -no basics for cleaning aka no dustpan -no garbage bins to leave trash outside of home -many kitchen food items expired in 2019 and 2020 we visited Jan 23' -management team reached out but were never able to help (except to bring space heaters) and somehow every issue was our fault We were caught in one of this years crazy storms so I understand the chaos many have experienced but Nomadness was terrible. We asked for assistance to shovel snow so we can leave town they referred us to the 3 shovels left on the property. How is that supposed to help us dig 4 ft of snow out of the driveway and not to mention they have no snow plow equipment for a company that is a snow destination?! I attempted to work with them after leaving the property trying to give them a chance to amend some issues but Kelli's default answer was "if $100 is not good enough there's nothing I can do" also, "I can't make your vacation good." I just don't understand how a hospitality company can survive without the hospitality. We applied for air cover in efforts to refund some cleaning fees and Nomadness claimed that we damaged the property. When I brought this up Kelli first said that the cleaning crew does thorough inspections and found a broken trash can and excessive cleaning but after confronting Kelli multiple times on this issue she said that it was to recover the loss they had from Airbnb refunding us. read more

Nomadness Rentals maintained great communication from the moment we made the reservation and throughout our stay. We didn't have any issues during our stay at the #570 Modern Mountain Retreat in an Idyllic Creekside. The condo had everything we needed and had no issues. It was well updated and the decor was pretty and modern. The available appliances were great (toaster oven, air fryer, large Hamilton crock pot, large tub washer/dryer, etc.) and in good working order. I must highlight, the kitchen knives were good quality and sharp. Quality plates and silverware. Parking was easy and convenient. The hot tub was the building adjacent from our rental. We very much enjoyed our stay. Dog friendly. We will definitely reserve this rental again. read more

Locations at Mammoth Mountain were convenient and the units themselves were clean and comfortable. Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in their unit across from eagle ski lodge. Traveled with kids. It was a miserable experience with this company. The worst we've had! The heat / pellet fireplace wasn't working way before we got there but they never told us . Rather they placed a couple of portable heaters in the unit (which helped) but not in the main living area where the kids wanted to stay and they were very cold (temp outside was as low as mid teens). Management company acted like it was a new problem and a repairman would come only after we leave the unit ? Why not just tell us beforehand hey there is a problem w the heat ? One of only 2 bathrooms had no hot water (we waited for over 10 min) and very low water pressure .. they placed a sign next to the shower about low pressure. When we asked for help they said it was the buildings problem. Ok? Where does that leave us needing a warm shower? There was old blood spots on one of the bed linens discovered the following morning (we got in late the prior evening and too tired to notice I guess) .. we called to replace and get new towels. They showed up 7 hrs later ... 5 men at the door .. 5 men(!) came into our unit to change a bed linen .., my partner was understandably shaken and felt unsafe. Many other problems (no body wash or soap in dispenser, BR light not working, etc). The unit looks neglected and in bad shape IM0. We felt screwed. My review on Airbnb has not posted. I stayed in their complex in Mammoth. Right across from Eagle Lodge at the ski resort (Specifically Huntington #85). I can't say enough about this rental, it's walking distance to the ski resort, it was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and on the big side for a one bedroom. It had all the amenities that I would ever need. This includes hot tub, sauna , pool, the unit there had everything I needed: including Smart TVs (all electronics were easy to use), coffee maker, and everything else you would need to cook, etc. I would stay again in a heartbeat I did have a few questions during my stay, and they responded within minutes read more

I appreciate the attention paid to details like having enough bath towels, paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen cooking supplies, etc. The place we stayed at was comfortable and roomy, with plenty of firewood for the stove insert fireplace. The check-in, rental operations, and checkout procedures were easy to follow. Nomadness Rentals management were easy to reach and responsive to anything we needed. Mammoth Rental First off, if you have issues with stairs or have little ones who don't know how to navigate stairs. this isn't the place for you. But if you don't mind stairs then this is a great place! The neighborhood is lovely! With a walking path super close with stunning views. Each room* of the house is on a different floor, so we got our exercise in, but we had a great time hanging out here. Super comfy and cozy vibes. Loved seeing deer on our front lawn. Nomadness was great. The online representation of the property on VRBO was accurate and the rental crew were helpful with a few small issues. Below is the review of the property we stayed at in Snowcreek What an amazing property! To summarize, it was fantastic, if not for the unique layout, this home would have been absolutely perfect. Views out of every room, you can see Mammoth Mountain, Old Mammoth Rock, the sunset and the neighborhood. The layout- if you have someone in your party that is adverse to stairs, please know there are two full bedrooms downstairs. You can enter the home through the front door which is a large set of stairs, or you can go through the garage which is what we did. Only two stairs to those downstairs bedrooms. The primary bedroom is upstairs with a primary suite, powder room, kitchen and family room. Garage fit my Toyota Tundra (with a bike rack) and could have fit another car. There is an electric car charger with Tesla plug. Driveway fits two cars, then there are two guest spots *just* outside the house. The community is quiet and my kids could ride their bikes around with ease. The kitchen was fully stocked and since the house is newer, everything was fully functional. You have pots, pans, full sets of knives and cooking utensils. Everything was very clean. Kitchen table fit everyone with ease. They have a smart TV and you can log in to see all of your apps. Wifi worked as well as Mammoth wifi does. AIR CONDITIONING! A life saver for the summer, it's a zoned unit so you can cool either floor independent of the other. This is a game changer for Mammoth. We also used the laundry on the first floor. We loved this house! read more

As an airbnb host myself I do my best to accommodate guests with everything necessary. Upon entering, the condo was great, looked beautiful, very nice furniture and spacious. However, I feel the condo was lacking in some very simple modern day essentials. The TV was out dated, not a smart tv with terrible picture quality. The MP3 player, also dated with no means of connecting an iPhone to it. The kitchen was missing useful essentials. If you have a kitchen, it makes sense to provide everything necessary. Simple things such as a measuring jug, some tongs. Additionally, why, why are companies still using the WORST possible toilet paper. It really isn't that cost prohibitive to provide something a littler nicer for a more comfortable stay. Finally, some simple things such as; 1. Providing a map of the complex so we know where the trash goes and where the clubhouse is with the pool/hot tub. 2. Writing the wifi code in the guest book, or better yet, have it visible when you arrive since reception is rather poor in mammoth. 3. Providing the right access code on first try so we don't have to chase the company to receive it. All in all, the experience was okay and the condo was clean. read more

This is the worst rental company we have ever experienced. They are completely rude when it comes to customer service. So many things were broken in our rental and we just dealt with it throughout our stay. Next thing you know we get a request owing them $350 dollars for damages that were already present before we had arrived. There was zero debate with them as they refuted our proof of damaged and is still trying to get us to pay the balance. They are a greedy scam. I heard this from many people who know the owner of this company first hand and now i got to experience it for myself. Our experience with Nomadness was not good. They advertised their condo as Pet Friendly on AirBnB, and after I booked the condo, paid the total requested, received a confirmation from them and 24 hours had passed, I got a request for a pet fee of $148 which was 20% of the rental amount. They showed me where it had been written in the AirBnB writeup, but I hadn't seen it. Then they added tax and an 8% reservation fee on top of that. So beware and make sure you know all of the fees you are incurring. They also failed to send us check in information and I ended up calling and receiving bad information 5 minutes before we were ready to check in and had to go to their office in Mammoth Lakes to get parking passes since they hadn't sent them to me previously. Then the front door code they gave me didn't work and I had to call and get a new one. You get the idea... So an exorbitant pet fee, and poor communication and follow through were my experiences. The condo itself also needed a cleaning job. The rugs in the master bathroom were so filthy that we put them in the walk in closet and couldn't even use them. I will be avoiding Nomadness Rental properties in the future. read more

Rented a condo in Mammoth Lakes for spring break with family of 4 and 1 friend. Condo was in nice location to walk to shops and restaurants. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could give zero star if it would let me. I had a reservation from 2/25-2/27. A huge snowstorm's forecasted during this weekend so I contacted the management as soon as possible to see if a refund or a reschedule was an option for me. I didn't get a response back till the day of my trip and they said they have to discuss with the upper management about this. My friends and I had to make a decision to at least try going towards Bishop and see what happens since the room was worth around $1,700. Meanwhile, all the weather reports and news were getting updated about how bad the storm is and it is absolutely dangerous to travel during this time. My boyfriend was driving on CA 14 N towards Lancaster and all of a sudden, I started seeing the rain turning into the snow. This wasn't just some regular snow, it was a HEAVY SNOW. I couldn't believe what I was seeing because it's not an area where it normally snows. The snow was getting heavier every minute and the cars started going 5-10 miles per hour. I saw countless cars sliding down towards the rail as well as countless accidents that had occurred due to the slippery road conditions. My friends and I barely made it to Mohave and found out about all the upcoming road closures. We decided that it'd be the best to go back home before the condition gets worse and wait for the Nomadness management to contact us. The whole ride was terrifying and we almost could've been killed. We barely made back home and contacted the management about the road closures and let them know we've at least attempted to go. The management's response was that they could give reimbursement for only one night which was Saturday(2/25) because the road reopened for FEW HOURS on Sunday(2/26). As of now, the road closures STILL MAINTAIN since Monday(2/27). HELLO? You expect for us RISK OUR LIVES to come on Sunday after going through that terrifying road conditions on Saturday morning. And get stuck there because the freeways are closed off again? Does this even make sense? I asked the management if it's possible to at least get credits for future but their response remained exactly the same as if it was copied and pasted from the previous response. This morning, with no other message, I got an email from airbnb regarding a refunded amount for this booking. It was a partial refund only for one night and they fucking charged me for cleaning & service fee!!!! I called the customer service and asked to speak with the management. The representative named Jessica picked up the phone and told me the management is unavailable and will call back 'when they can'. I asked Jessica if she knew around when they'll be available because I'm at work and I don't want to miss the phone call. Jessica was like "No, I don't know and I can't tell you when they're gonna call you. They'll call you when they can. And you're not the only customer we're dealing with right now." Then just hung up on me. Jessica was being EXTREMELY RUDE and she was giving me so much attitude throughout the whole conversation. I was shook how rude this person is when she's supposedly a customer service representative. Is this how your employer train you? To yell at a customer with attitude and hang up on the phone in the middle of the conversation? UNBELIEVABLE MANAGEMENT WITH UNBELIEVABLE EMPLOYEES. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!! And here we thought this place would be better because it's under a "management". BS. I don't understand why at the very least they could've allowed us to reschedule. All they care about is your money and they don't care whether you die from a slippery road conditions or get stuck in the snow forever. Great and consistent communications from Nomadness Rentals. They are the first property management company that I have rented from in Mammoth that provided tissue boxes in the unit (seems like a small thing but is epic when you return from a day skiing with a runny nose and realize that you didn't bring your own :) ). The unit was well-stocked and had extra blankets (again, a rarity). Check-in and check-out instructions were very clear. After renting places in Mammoth for several years in the winter and summer, Nomadness Rentals will now be my go-to. read more

If your an owner, just don't do it. This group is highly unprofessional and clearly motivated to take as much money from you as possible. The challenges of working with them are so long I can only list out a few:' Their are plenty of other reputable companies in the steamboat area to work with. Go there. 1. Systems are dated and clunky - they discount your unit whether you want that or not. 2. Reporting is basically non -existant. I believe they keep it confusing so you cant track how they are taking your money 3. Accounting - found so many mistakes that they just stopped responding as they don't want to dig in and refund you the money. 4. term sheets - they're contract termination language is abusive and unlike any other of the local management companies. 5. Management fees - they charge you on the GROSS, not the net which means your paying fees on taxes and other items making their actual fees much higher than most other companies 6. Customer service - they basically do not want to deal with you. THey just want to rent your place as often as possible for whatever they can get regardless of whether it makes you money or not and causes wear and tear and problems. They are not in it for you, just themselves. Buyer beware. read more
