I was excited to try this restaurant because my parents loved their experience. The outside is such a vibe. You can take photos in front of the restaurant. You can sit inside or outside. Our waiter was nice and took our drink order. While we were reviewing the food menu, a cockroach ran on top of my menu. We killed the roach but we got grossed out and told the waiter we were leaving. I give this place a one star for that reason. I will not be coming back to this location.

Hands down...the "not your mother's" lemon drop is one of the best I've ever had!!! I had the goat cheese stuffed chicken and it was amazing! Will definitely be back!!!

We had a reservation. So when we arrived, we did not have to wait. We were immediately seated. However, it did take a while for a waitress to come See us and get our order. And then it took even longer for the food to come out, Because the restaurant began to fill up by the time we were ordering our food. The food was just okay.

Upstairs patio was nice, waitress was nice, food was good. Yummy. They do have a slightly different menu than the Acworth location so keep that in mind. The only thing I don't like is the plates. The plate had spots that didn't give a clean appearance. I will go back.

Stopped by on a weekend evening with reservations but it wasn't necessary. Initial impressions are it is a cool layout with tasteful decor and nice people. Ordered a taco Tuesday beer from Monday night brewing but the tap was empty. Decent draft beer selection though. Jalapeño corn poppers were average with a somewhat bland aioli. I ordered the Buffalo shrimp tacos ad a main. The shrimp was heavily breaded and drenched in sauce so no shrimp taste to the meal. The fresh bits of bleu cheese were a nice touch and saved the taco. Fries were OK. GF had the salmon bowl which she enjoyed. Overall, just average food. Waiter (Ricari) was pleasant and attentive.

Southern charm meets coastal flavor at 1885 Grill in Kennesaw! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality, attentive service, and an inviting ambiance that sets the tone for a perfect dining experience. The menu is a mouthwatering blend of Southern classics and coastal cuisine--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. Whether you're dining al fresco under the red umbrellas or enjoying the cozy indoor vibe, 1885 Grill delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend for date nights, celebrations, or just because you love great food done right! They also observed refined sugar free food restrictions and preferences. Part of the great service. Just let them know and they will accommodate you!

Signature Sirloin Enhanced with Mushrooms and Onions with an Herb Butter, Hush Puppies with Honey Butter, and Green Beans

Classy. Comfort. Flavor. The food here is really good... but you gotta get the right things. We asked our waitress for recommendations for our appetizers and entrees and sides, and she definitely recommended really good things. We went to dinner here with reservations and without a budget, so we enjoyed all the goodies! We started with the soup of the day and a caesar salad for our appetizers. The soup of the day was a crap bisque, which is always one of my favorites... so good! For dinner, I ordered the signature sirloin enhanced with mushrooms and onions. Im not usually one to get anything on my steak, but the veggies mixed with the herb butter was a burst of flavor! I've never had anything quite like that herb butter. The side item was just as good as any...hush puppies with honey butter... yum! The crispy hush puppies with the super sweet honey butter was maybe my favorite experience of the whole night. We also got a side of green beans which snapped beautifully and were very very nicely salted. The atmosphere here is really calm, quiet, beautifully decorated, and pretty upscale classy with a country farmhouse twist. It's the perfect spot for a nice date-night dinner!

Back again to see our Fav Bailey on the rooftop and of course to eat the delicious food. We absolutely love this place! The service is top tier, the rooftop is a vibe, and BAILEY IS AWESOME!

Had dinner with a large group in early September. It's a relatively new restaurant so it wasn't too crowded. Parking could bit a bit of an issue but there are locations off premises with a short walk to the restaurant. I ordered wings and they were really good. I also got the pecan bread pudding which was also very delicious. Will definitely make it back there. Everyone thought the food they ordered was great. It seems they lean more towards seafood though than the acworth location.

I come to this restaurant every time I'm in town for business and it never disappoints. I've had the jalapeño corn fritters which is a great starter. The sea bass is worth the trip alone. The Biggs bbq chicken is fantastic! The service always exceeds expectations and the upstairs bar is perfect!

Our server Lex was really on his A game. Helpful hints, humor and quick service. He seemed to be managing 6 tables too! Menu had something for everyone. Savannah, the manager came over to check on us after our meal. That was a nice touch. Nice interior. The place was fairly loud so would recommend for people with hearing issues or sensitivity.

Watermelon feta cheese salad. Feta was old, dry and tasteless.
    Nataliya Z.

This very busy restaurant has a good potential however does not provide a cooking consistency. For example, my husband 30 days aged ribeye steak was excellent, but my chicken tights with North Carolina white bbq sauce were overcooked and dry. My watermelon salad had old tasteless feta cheese , but my husband's side's salad was fresh and tasty. Our server was good but the whole ambiance at the restaurant felt like speed dating, the salads came before even the wine was served. There is a difference between the efficiency and being rushed. I hope this restaurant will learn that difference.

    Very cheap asthetic

The lights falling off the building on every corner should have let me know not to come in. But I decided against my better judgement to give it a shot. Needless to say by my 2 star review. The canned crawfish in the etouffee was horrible. Bread hard as a rock. Desert was fire so I had to not give it a 1 star.

This would be a perfect place for larger groups such as family get togethers, celebrations, while still seating couples and others. And the portions versus the price point seemed very reasonable to me. They boast a Southern Coastal Cuisine so I went with the Fried Flounder Sandwich dressed in southern slaw and a side of tartar sauce. Served on a Niedlov's (Bakery in Chattanooga) grilled artisan hoagie bun. It was delicious. Crunchy crust and a tender moist fillet on the inside. And that Creamy Dreamy slaw was amazing. Their Fried Chicken Tacos is a must try too. Three hot chicken tenders in four tortillas, topped with corn salsa, cojita cheese, and jalapeño lime ranch. It was an Oh My Gosh experience. They have a very nice outside covered patio that's pet friendly and it all sits on a very large parcel with nice greenery and impressive landscaping. And it looks like they do a very brisk take out business too as I seen many orders being picked up. Awesome cocktails, attentive and responsive service all at a fair price. Definitely a place you want to check out.

The atmosphere isn't as stuffy or as formal like a steakhouse in the city (e.g., Buckhead), but it's still nice. Book your reservation using OpenTable and get dining points. There's a big dedicated parking lot around the building with plenty of free parking. No valet. We had a party of five and shared a lot of dishes. Here's what I had: Classic Cocktails * Dirty Martini ($15) - Hanson Original Vodka, Foro Dry Vermouth, olive juice, pimento olives Appetizers * Oysters on the Half Shell (12 for $33) - cocktail sauce and horseradish; James River, Virginia Sides * White Cheddar Mac & Cheese ($9) * Hawaiian Roasted Brussels Sprouts ($11) - with smoked bacon and Parmesan cheese Signature Cuts * Cherokee Western Luau (14 oz steak, $54) - ribeye marinated for 48 hours in pineapple, soy and ginger, "a Cherokee favorite;" 1855 Black Angus Beef from Grand Island, NE House Specials * Black Jack Salmon ($34) - wood-grilled and basted with Jack Daniel's glaze and served with crusted mashed potatoes and EVOO broccolini Desserts * Bananas Foster ($12) - flambeed tableside We also got cheese bread to start (bread with melted cheese on top, with a creamy white sauce). Everything was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, starting with the martini, which was well-made. The oysters were big, fresh, and tasty. The Cherokee Western Luau was recommended to me by our server. He was so convincing that my friend changed his order to get a Western Luau too. It was fantastic, perfectly cooked to medium rare. The salmon was terrific as well, nicely cooked, tender, and flavorful (another excellent choice as well). The Bananas Foster wasn't flambeed tableside as described on the menu, so that was disappointing. However, it still tasted good. Our server was Cason B and he was great. He made an excellent recommendation on the Western Luau and was just a nice guy overall. The hostess was friendly too and helped us take a picture in the lobby. Cherokee Chophouse used to be Cherokee Cattle Company. After COVID, it reopened as Cherokee Chophouse in November 2022. It's part of the Marietta Diner and Marietta Fish Market family.

The ambiance is very classy--warm lighting, upscale decor, and a layout that invites you to relax and stay a while. They've got a great front porch setup for enjoying a smoke outdoors, plus a comfortable seating area inside and a well-designed bar that feels both elegant and approachable. I chose a Casa Fuente cigar, expertly recommended by Chris, the resident cigar sommelier. He knows the humidor inside and out. Paired it with a Maker's Mark Old Fashioned, crafted by Bezi, who was not only skilled but super friendly and welcoming. Talked sports with some locals--Tampa Bay teams, cigars, and whiskey. The crowd was relaxed and conversational, which made the experience even better. But the standout? The steak. I ordered the ribeye after my cigar, and it was incredible. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and served with crisp broccolini and parmesan-dusted house chips. Honestly, this meal would rival a dedicated steakhouse. Highlights: Elegant front porch for outdoor smoking Classy, cozy lounge and bar interior Outstanding cigar and drink selection Staff who truly know their craft (shoutout to Chris & Bezi) Full dinner menu--do not skip the ribeye Clean, well-ventilated, and welcoming If you're in the Kennesaw area and enjoy cigars, bourbon, and great conversation in a high-end setting--this is your spot.

(They have " hand cut" steaks. Before taking us to our table I was able to select my steak from their case. ) This place is loud. It's a roadhouse, so I suppose the noise goes with that atmosphere. Loud music, and loud people, plus the wait staff sing and do line dancing occasionally, which is just weird. The food was good. They brought out rolls that were great. From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. Our server, Lizzy, was outstanding: attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Excellent service like this immediately elevates a dining experience, and she made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the steak. We shared a massive 50-ounce ribeye, cooked beautifully and bursting with flavor. The meat was exceptionally tender, richly marbled, and perfectly prepared -- easily the kind of steak that justifies a visit on its own. Before the main course, we explored the sushi bar menu and ordered the crispy rice appetizer, which turned out to be one of the most memorable dishes of the evening. Tempura-fried sushi rice topped with spicy tuna, chili garlic, and a soy glaze created an incredible balance of texture and flavor -- crispy, spicy, savory, and slightly sweet all at once. It was a standout and a perfect example of the restaurant's successful fusion approach. The sides were solid complements to the meal. The fries were thick, plump, and pleasantly crunchy, while the sautéed onions were classic steakhouse fare done well. The bread service was another pleasant surprise, featuring soft, tender rolls alongside pão de queijo -- a delightful Brazilian touch that we did not expect but thoroughly enjoyed. For a two-person dinner -- including one appetizer, a large shared steak, two sides, and water (no alcohol or dessert) -- the total came to about $300 including a 20% tip.
