Honestly great spot! First time and adding to my rotation. Food was delicious and staff was super friendly

I usually get the fish & chips but, as we walked in, they had a sign about a Reuben special. It was amazing the corn beef was thick, the sauerkraut was wonderful and the perfect amount and the fries were really yummy. A waitress, Bree P. could give lessons on how to be friendly and but not intrusive.

19 Handles is a cozy neighborhood brew pub. They have an extensive rotating tap list, as their name would imply, and a small selection of wines. Their food menu is extensive with some European flavors mixed in. The food comes out from the kitchen quickly and attractively prepared. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable and you can enjoy their personal touch. Long a staple at the corner of Eastern and Arden, 19 handles is a fun destination for an evening meal or an afternoon brew or Happy Hour. You may also want to try them Saturday and Sunday mornings for their breakfasts.

I'll start with the good news: I liked the general vibe. Kind of an attempt to recreate a pub in Dublin or Liverpool, without forgetting it's in the States. Also, I like that they get creative with their soju drinks. Oh, and aside from the blue cheese dressing that was so generic and bland that it was hard to distinguish from ranch, I really did enjoy my salad w/chicken - it actually had something in it other than lettuce and tomato! Bravo! Unfortunately, three strikes say this was our first & last time: 1) I ordered my drink with diet soda. It was served with Sprite (or their version of that). Not the same thing by any measure! 2) We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. After about 10 minutes, the people who came in 5 minutes after us were served piping hot mozzarella sticks. 5 minutes after *that* we asked if ours were coming any time soon. 10 minutes after *that* (about 25 minutes after ordering), we were served *cold* mozzarella sticks, along with the explanation that ours had indeed been served to the other table. I'm guessing what we got was theirs, which had been sitting out, not even under warming lights, for the previous 10-15 minutes. 3) My wife ordered the fish & chips. What she was served, in her words, looked like "it had been left in the fryer to die." The darker area you see in the picture was *rock hard*...inedible. I suggested she crack it like shellfish and try what's inside. She correctly pointed out that she wasn't supposed to have to do that with a simple whitefish like this, but she tried anyway. She said there was effectively no flavor. As for the "chips" - if you like Burger King fries, you'll be right at home. Sorry, we won't be back.

Very cool brew pub with good food and a nice atmosphere. I've driven passed this place many times. And we decided it was time to give it a try. Inside has a very cool vibe. Lots to look at on the walls as well as TV's to watch the game. For food I got the Adonis burger. Delicious with lots of flavor. Thick patty and a nice soft bun. The fries had a nice taste as well. We also ordered the fish sandwich. This was excellent. Great flavor and a nice size piece of fish. Not overly fried just right. We would order both these items again. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Plenty of parking. There are also seats outside to dine. I'll be coming back.

Very nice service. Food was also good. Brussels Sprouts not a delicious as in the past. Sweet potato fries are.a winner. Website is sorely lacking for information.

Ok so we were in Sacramento to see the in law. This place is right down the street from them. They had never been so we stopped by to check it out. The wife and were hungry so we got brussels sprouts and wings. I'm so glad we did the food was so good. The staff was so nice and friendly. The vibe was cool laid back had good music and good beer on tap. I recommend you stop in and give it a try. They also had outdoor seating. The in law are coming back to try breakfast. The rich and chips looked amazing! Cheers

    3 Cheese prime rib omelette

We always enjoy coming here. The goulash is great. The service is good. Just a few tweaks on the food and it'd be terrific. Even though we intended to get lunch, we got the goulash omelette and prime rib omelette off the breakfast menu on a weekend. How often does one see a goulash omelette on a menu? The plates arrived with a little salad on the side which was nice. The goulash was delicious (as always) served on top of an omelette. The prime rib omelette plate also had a small side salad. The menu described the prime rib omelette as having 3 cheeses. It arrived with just one (Swiss). I didn't miss the other cheeses, but someone else might. A pleasant surprise was finding mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers in the omelette under the prime rib. I don't recall it on the menu. The omelette did needed more seasoning. The prime rib was thinly sliced and had a nice smoke flavor. Again, the differences from the menu worked for me, but might not work for everyone.

They have cornhole, picnic tables, outdoor cushion seating and bar seating. Service: Our server was good and food came out fairly quickly. Food: I ordered the farmers market salad and requested to sub goat cheese for the blue cheese and they were able to accommodate it. The salad was very good with lots of toppings. My only complaint was that the grilled chicken I added on was a bit dry and maybe I would've liked less dressing (it came tossed already). I also fried my son's kid's grilled cheese with French fries and the fries were awesome. Super crispy and flavorful. The grilled cheese was basic, but good. My husband got the cluck and crown chicken sandwich and said the chicken was also slightly overcooked and portion size of the protein was small, but the other toppings like avocado and bacon still made it worthwhile. He enjoyed the sweet potato fries drizzled with honey.

Maybe if they were USA or more popular teams it would have been different. There were 4 people in the couch area, it was cozy so we didn't join them, but that was were the action was. No one in the bar area where we sat was into the game Seating- We arrived around 1pm just as the game was starting. The bar was nearly empty. Two parties were there sitting at the bar. One group had around 7 people, all in A's Jersey's. The A's were playing that evening at 7pm so these people were getting the party started early. We sat on one of the couple high tops. There was a tv right above us and was impossible. To see from our angle. There ware 2 TVs above the bar. One kept going in and out due to no signal, but the other one help up. We turned our chairs to face the tv so it was a great seating arrangement. The sound was not on for the TV so you just had to follow the game visually. Food- It's a pub so it's all pub food. My husband didn't want anything fried so that eliminated the fish and chips. That left us with a salad or a burger We got the pub burger for $21. It seemed kind of steep, but you're in a tourist area so that explains it. The burger was extra juicy at medium so that was good. It did lack flavor. It does help that it had pickles on it. That gave it some flavor. The onions were flavorless, but looked grilled. The menu doesn't say it, but it comes with fries. The fries needed more salt, but dipping them in ketchup helped the flavor. Now reading other reviews it looks like we could have gotten a side salad instead of fries. I guess we could have asked, but we didn't know it came with fries so we didn't ask for a subsitute. Bathroom- They had really nice bathrooms. You didn't have to go out side to the public restrooms. That was a plus especially since my burger was extra juicy and I needed to wash them. Parking- It's all street parking out front. Old Sacramento also has two garages that aren't that far. Depending on the day and the events that are gong on you you either pay by the day or by the hour. And don't lose your ticket as then you have to pay the maximum. If you are looking for a sit down place with pub food you've found your destination. This is one of the newer restaurants in Old Sacramento that isn't a white tablecloth type of restaurant. Which was a perk, because we weren't looking for fine dining this time. Actually we are never looking for fine dining when we go to Old Sacramento. The place was very clean and put off the new vibe. It's very nicely decorated. They even have a red telephone booth, a great place for pics.

I can rely on Guinness on tap, or a nice selection of other European beers on tap if I'm not fancying a Guinness. The last time I was in was on St. Patrick's this week, and their food offerings were three meat eater choices. I had my heart set on one of the vegetarian pasties they used to have, but I knew it was a holiday so what was available was going to not be the regular thing. I don't come often enough to even know what's regular anymore. I don't eat meat, but I did have my Guinness so no harm done. I really like the choices of seating, between tables and chairs, the bar, booths, stools, benches, and outdoors. It can get pretty busy, but never so much that I've ever felt boxed in. There's a bit of a bottleneck to get a drink as the path to get past the bar is narrow, but staff are really great at working through those requests quickly. So, basically this is my go to if someone suggests a pub atmosphere. Every day. Ok not every day, but I had to throw that in ;-) They don't have a full bar, only wine and beer. Parking is typical East Sac, street parking, no meters. Bathrooms have character.

The location is super convenient since it's within walking distance of the movie theater. We decided to skip the games this visit. Nothing really caught our attention, but maybe next time we'll give them a try. Instead, we grabbed a couple of seats at the bar and started with some shots. I ordered the Mexican Candy shot, and my girl got a Green Tea shot. My Mexican Candy shot was really good, it had a great balance of alcohol and flavor. It had just the right amount of sweetness and sourness without being overpowering. For food, I ordered the Beef Barbacoa Quesadilla, which came with pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream. My girl ordered the pork sliders along with a margarita, while I switched to a lemonade after my shot. The barbacoa quesadilla was excellent. The meat and cheese ratio was perfect, and everything tasted fresh. The pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream all complemented the quesadilla really well. I honestly had no complaints about my meal. The only hiccup during our visit was with my girl's pork sliders. The pork arrived cold, so we let the bartender know. At first, she thought the meat might have felt cold because of the coleslaw on the sliders, but after a brief conversation, she happily took them back and had a fresh order made. The replacement sliders came out with warm pork, and they were much better. Even the first batch tasted good, the only issue was that the meat wasn't warm enough. We appreciated that they made it right without any problems. One thing I thought was really interesting was their drink system. Every cocktail on the menu is served from a numbered tap. I've never seen that before, but I'm guessing it helps with portion control, reduces waste, and ensures every drink is made consistently. I thought it was a unique concept and a nice touch. One thing I also appreciated was the service. When it was time to pay for our meal, the bartender asked if I wanted a refill on my lemonade. I told her we were about to head to the movie theater, so I didn't need one. Then he offered to put my lemonade in a to-go cup so I could take it with me. I thought that was a really thoughtful gesture and a nice example of great customer service. Overall, we had a good experience. The food and drinks were both enjoyable, and the staff corrected the only issue we had with the sliders. I wouldn't hesitate to come back, and next time we'll probably give the games a chance. If you're looking for a place to grab some good food and drinks before a movie, Tipsy Putt is definitely worth checking out.

However, through their Facebook page you can sign up for "VIP Loyalty" and get a couple of cool offers. The ones I could claim were a FREE Pretzel or a FREE One Sausage Platter. Older offers included FREE Custom Dog or FREE French Fries. These are available Sunday through Friday only, one offer per visit, not valid with any other offers, dine-in only. Show in person to staff and get a special code to redeem. I love their giant pretzels and sausage platters, and the fruity Starburst grapefruit radler beer with pom cider is such a summer vibe. Most recent visit was also able to catch the Argentina World Cup game on the projector. For my FREE offer I went with the one sausage platter (picked bratwurst and potato salad), then also got a 500mL Starburst and a pretzel with added bier cheese. Judi got the Berliner dog (curry and fries) and a cucumber salad, and we shared an order of the S'mores Belgie dessert! I will be back soon for my FREE pretzel, and I must remember to try the Starburst as a slushie/frozen!

You enter without truly knowing where to go or what to do, so be observant as there may be an actual line to order drinks and food, just don't cut someone off. Ordering was easy. Same window for beer and food. If you order food you're given a number that people deliver food. Came here for happy hour. I got myself a pretzel with add-on cheese, a pulled pork (seasonal) Belgie with fries, and I sampled other food that my friends ordered. Firstly, the 1L beer is worth it. Not happy hour prices., but well worth the volume. It definitely transported me back to my visit to Munich and the beer halls. Oh, I do miss the drunken singing of the Germans lol Secondly, the food was just okay. Pretzels were thankfully cheaper since it was happy hour but i paid $1 for the add-on cheese. The mustard combo sauce was great. I wish the pretzel was a bit bigger. I appreciated the warmth and the salt ratio; not overpowering. The Belgie (waffle sandwich) was also on happy hour. The texture of the waffle was great. Crisp exterior, soft interior. I ordered the seasonal pulled pork which was great in texture and decently portioned. It is a thick boy, so biting into it was a bit of a challenge. Ended up deconstructing the sandwich and used utensils. Sauce maybe would've been better on the side. Fries always win. No complaints though I wish I ordered the garlic fries... the smell was good. One thing I didn't get to try was their famous, Starbust drink which is a mix of beer, cider and some frosty, maybe. The color was intriguing and everyone seemed to order it around me. The misters were on, which was a blessing and a curse. Definitely helped cool me down, but also became a nuisance as the table and all my belongings got wet. Excited for their new location in Old Sac. Maybe a revised review in the future. Stay tuned.

Highly recommend! Great space indoors and out (side patio has umbrellas for shade)…read more Menu has everything you could want: fish and chips (truly excellent) and Bavarian pretzel (delicious), a solid beer selection, plus a kid's menu (tenders, burger, quesadillas, etc). Also the chef and lady behind the bar were so kind and patient - answering various questions to help one person in our party navigate allergies. Other things to note, you need to order food/drinks at the bar and then they'll bring it to you. Street parking was pretty easy at least during the day. Would not hesitate to come back for a pint and delicious meal.

If it wasn't for this "mission," there's a good chance I wouldn't have wandered in. I LOVE Sutter Street, but honestly I don't live nearby and don't have many reasons to come here. That said, I'm thankful for the mission and glad I dropped by. It's a super cute place and the bartender had a nice relaxed chill vibe to her. This is where I'd normally drop her name and give her kudos - but I didn't get her name. I thought her name would be on the receipt, but it wasn't! I assume her name isn't "Shift Night N" anyway, which would be weird - but that's what is listed for "server". Anyway... the burger... I liked it. I liked it a lot. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked (not expected or demanded by me) - but an observation that I toss in for comparison purposes. It was cooked to a solid medium, which is fine with me. Caramelized onions were standard - nice - but the tomato and lettuce were listed as 'optional' - and the bartender (Shift Night N) asked me if I wanted them. I opted in. The bun was above average - definitely a notch above the typical mass-produced buns often used elsewhere. I opted for sweet potato fries. They had good flavor. Personal preference-wise... I would have liked them to be cooked a smidge more. If/when I come back, I'll probably ask them to be crispy-er. Overall, thumbs up! I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try other things on the menu. #burgers
