I've been wanting to try this location for a while, and since I was craving dry noodles, I finally stopped by. I went with the dry special noodle with beef, and wow--that signature tingling sensation was real! Mind your spice tolerance. We ordered the mild spicy, and good thing we did, because I was already sweating just two bites in! Despite the heat, it was incredibly flavorful and so good. Size-wise, it's the perfect portion for two people to split if you aren't super hungry. The service was quick and efficient, and I noticed they have a great seating setup with tables accommodating anywhere from pairs to larger groups of eight. I'll definitely be back soon--I already have my eye on the braised beef soup for next time!

Came here because of nostalgia. Used to come here a lot before it became popular and decided to come by again to see how it was. The portions are a lot smaller than before and the beef sandwich was very dry and beefy without any seasoning. The flavor of the dry noodles is still good, but the place seems rushed and everyone is packed together so closely so eating wasn't so comfortable having to move chair over to accommodate other customers. It was also very loud inside.

It was packed when we came, and there was quite a line. We loved what we ordered- signature beef soup with wide noodle. The bowl was intimidating as it has 1/3 chili oil on top, but it was more for flavor. The spice level is not that much.

Food was amazing. Super flavorful and noodle texture was great. I am still thinking about this meal and would definitely recommend Had to wait 15 minutes to get seated on a Fri afternoon. Quick service once inside

Amazing and delicious place. I love wide noodles, and the hand pulled ones here were great and super spicy! Service and friendly and quick, and a cozy and noisy basement interior that fits the food aesthetic!

During the January cold snap and snow storms I went in search of noodle soup. 1915 Lanzhou Hand Pulled Noodles fit the bill perfectly. The restaurant is downstairs in a building in Chinatown. It's packed full of tables with a counter facing the kitchen. I've mostly gone close to open to avoid waiting, as there will be a line later on. Service is quick and efficient. They'll often be by to take your order quickly. What to order? As the name suggests, the hand pulled noodles are the star of the show, though the appetizers and sides are very tasty as well. My first couple of visits I did the dry beef noodle, then became a fan of the spicy Chongqing soup. Be warned, it may take a minute to come out if it's busy: they are hand pulling each order of noodles to order (from very thin to flat and thick); it's well worth the wait, Overall excellent Chinese noodles. This restaurant has quickly pulled me in.

I can definitely see why this place is a favorite. If you come around rush hour, expect a long line outside because it's very popular. The food was so good and full of flavor. I ordered the signature Lanzhou beef noodle soup, and it was delicious with a very big portion, I couldn't even finish it. The Langya fried potato strips were amazing and very tasty. The traditional pan pork fried buns were also delicious. I also tried the beef Chinese hamburger and it was good. The sliced beef with chili sauce was very flavorful, and the meat was cooked perfectly. They also have beer, sake, and soju if you want something to drink with your meal. The service was great even when pack and busy. I can see why this place is always packed and busy. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Chinatown.

Solid noodles and dumplings spot. The noodles, dumplings, woodear mushroom, and wonton soup were all done very well with authentic Chinese flavor. The broth in the soup noodles was good, but I think the wontons were actually my favorite. For the dry pork noodles, they were so good, but I should've mixed it up better (I did, but I realized at the end there was still a lot of pork/flavor at the bottom of the bowl). We arrived 11:15 on a Saturday and had a 15-minute wait. There was still a line when we left, but seems like it moved fast (we were out by 12:15). It's really cramped; our table was next to the bar and our chairs were basically butting up right against the barstools. Although the price and taste were great, I think there are probably other spots where it's less hectic for similar deliciousness and value.

    Storefront. Have to step down

is it one of the better hand pulled noodles in NYC? Yes. Is it worth the wait to eat in a tidy tight space with average service? No I got N1 signature lanzhou beef noodles ($14.95) .. Good portion size, lots of meat, bouncy noodles, tasty spicy broth. I also got the B8 Pork and Chive Dumplings boiled (8 for $13.95). This is a pass for me. They take card and cash.

3.75 stars Solid lanzhou noodles, pretty close to Dun Huangs beef noodles which are consistently reliable. Nothing wow, but definitely comforting in simple flavors that are done right with perfect texture noodles. (They let you choose your noodle firmness too) I personally wouldn't wait long to try this, but if you can snag a seat in less than 10 minutes - go for it

This was one of my favorite meals in New York. We arrived pretty close to closing time yet they squeezed us in and got us our food in record time. It's a small restaurant with a very casual atmosphere and tight seating. I ordered the chili spill noodles with beef, and it was amazing. The beef chunks were nice and tender, and the noodles were delicious in the spicy crunchy chili oil; it had a kick but was very tasty still. Definitely fulfilled my craving for some authentic Chinese noodles

The fact that this place has become even more popular due to the videos being created, but also the fact that my friend gave raving reviews on this place, I knew I had to try it. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon with some friends. Although there was a wait as it's always filled with people, they do a good job of clearing tables quickly as people finished. So, there is a fairly good turnaround. Sooner than later, we had a table ready. As soon as you are seated, they are quick to take orders. So, it's best to have your order pre-selected. They have water already set up on the table for self-service. So, the whole ordering process is quick. Since it is a handpulled noodle spot, they do vary on the noodle thickness you can choose from. The regular is the standard, but I personally opted for the thick one and the description really did describe it well. It was chewy. I personally opted for the #1 SIGNATURE. Although it appears quite spicy with the deep red color, it honestly wasn't as spicy as it seems. So, I feel that anyone can order this dish. It was pretty good. No complaints. Overall, it's a nice quick lunch spot. The noodles are the star of each dish, so your experience can change depending on the noodle shape.

Usually there's a long wait to eat here because the space is quite small but I came on a Sunday just an hour after they opened on a day where the weather was 10 degrees and got seated immediately. Service is very quick and they bring lemon water to your table. Each table also has chili oil which you can add to your noodles. I got their Handmade Braised Beef Noodles with thick noodles which was so heartwarming. The broth is savory and piping hot and it came with a good amount of chunky beef pieces. The thick noodles were chewy and just the right shape of thickness. I also shared the Spicy Oil Spill Wontons with my friend which were packed with a good kick of spice and the wontons were filled with pork.

We walked into a modern atmosphere with a mix of bar seating, high tops, and traditional tables, the kind of place that works comfortably for anything from a casual lunch to a longer dinner experience. The room had a polished, energetic feel with a layout that accommodated both quick stops and more leisurely meals, and the open kitchen added a layer of engagement as we watched the dishes being prepared. The ramen is the main attraction, with rich and flavorful broths that showcase a lot of depth. We ordered a few bowls and found the tonkotsu ramen standing out with its creamy, savory broth, the porkiness coming through clearly without being overly heavy. The tan tan ramen offered a nice balance of spice and nuttiness, with a broth that had a subtle heat and a sesame undertone that lingered after each bite. Beyond ramen, the menu had plenty of options worth exploring, including pork belly, sticky ribs, bao, duck tacos, and sushi selections, each dish arriving well assembled and thoughtfully prepared. The pork belly was tender and well charred, and the duck tacos offered a rich, savory contrast to the lighter ramen bowls. The lunch sets were also a good way to try multiple items while keeping the meal more approachable. The service was one of the highlights of the experience, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations helped guide the meal, and the overall hospitality added to the quality of the visit. The restaurant has a polished atmosphere that feels more like a full dining experience rather than a quick ramen stop. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the experience smooth without feeling rushed. Overall, Momosan Ramen & Sake is a great option for those looking for ramen with a more refined touch. While the pricing is higher than a traditional ramen shop, the combination of quality ingredients, creative dishes, and atmosphere makes it a worthwhile place to visit for a more complete Japanese dining experience.

The beef soup is clear and light and the noodles have a delightful texture, with a slight chew and good bounce. There's a good portion of braised beef as well. Tender but a bit fatty for my taste, but given the portion it's not going to kill you. Lamb burger ended up as overkill and will be consumed as leftovers but a quick sampling let me know that it's gamey and fatty with strong notes of cumin. Not a bad thing, but something to note for people that might not generally enjoy lamb or cumin. Black pepper beef rice bowl was solid too. Spice wise, you can calibrate accordingly but I'd recommended at least their regular spice level. Decent amount of tenderized but still chewy beef. Both dishes came with a salad of celery, carrot, cucumber, peanuts and seaweed strips in a light sauce. Couldn't quite figure out the sauce but it was lightly tart and refreshing. Space is clean and modern. Neutral wood, well lit. Service is friendly enough. If you dine in, you order at the kiosk and they'll deliver to your table. We had leftovers that they graciously packed up. Solid choice. I hope they stick around as they do bring a different cuisine to the area.

The Ahi Tuna was the perfect and proper color it should be. The flavors were SPECTACULAR-WONDERFUL!!! NOTE: WAGAMAMA has added to their menu, since my last visit, so you now have a RAMEN SELECTION, and other yummy additions. I was too full from my spectacular Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl to try the Korean bbq Chicken Wings ($8.95) but, I will definitely be back to try them!! I'll post menu photos so you have an idea of the delicious food choices. (April 2026) My very first delicious bite of Ahi Tuna had a heavenly garlic flavor, it was wonderful, and the sweet green seaweed with rice only added to the wonderfulness. Vertical slices of cucumber, onion and scallion, also add deliciously to my wonderful Poke Bowl. Toasted sesame seeds, too. SIMPLY MARVELOUS!!! Remember to be sure to mix the poke bowl rice as you eat, so that you mix the rice with the yummy sauce that may accumulate at the bottom of the poke bowl. I usually eat a little while, THEN, mix the rice. This was so good, I had to eat, eat, eat, before I could stop to mix. LOL. That sweet green seaweed was so yummy!! A lovely mix of flavors...the garlic, the sweetness....I LOVED IT ALL SO MUCH!!!! When was the last time you enjoyed a dish so very much that you felt like standing up in the restaurant and telling everyone: THIS IS SOOO DELICIOUS!!!! Well, I felt like that, but I didn't stand up and tell everyone, but I did tell the manager, who happen to come to the table to ask how everything was. And I let him know how much I was enjoying the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. He explained why and how the tuna was so flavorful. We had a delightful brief foodie chat. What a joy!! The service is very nice here. I like the atmosphere too. And the music, which is cool; it does not interfere with thinking, or having a conversation. I really like it here . The women's rest room was very nice, and clean, with a Dyson Hand Dryer, so no paper towels on the floor. Yay! Helping our environment, too!! And I like the black and white wall paper, too. See my photos My last visit I enjoyed the Pad Thai, and the same non-alcoholic beverage, " Asian Mint Limeade", from the MINDFUL DRINKS area on the beverage menu. ($9.50) (April 2026). A nice treat! It does have a light carbonation (bubbles). This visit my delicious meal was from the BOWLS SECTION of the food menu, it was the AHI TUNA POKE BOWL ($17.95) (April 2026) With warm, and hot weather on the way, I know I will be enjoying this AHI TUNA POKE BOWL again...and again! I remembered i liked my experience going to one in London in 2024 and decided to go. I love how attentive the wait staff are, a little too attentive. A waitress, she had long hair and a nose ring, approached me when I was just glancing her way during eating. I didn't need anything, but I appreciate the favor. That same waitress gave me my receipt too early like she wanted me to leave ASAP. This was right before I asked to look at the desserts after I finished my meal. A "Would you like some dessert?" would have be appreciated. Cedrick, my principal waiter, was phenomenal. He decided to take care of me after no one was at the hosting desk for 5 minutes after I arrived. I had the chicken potsticker ramen and it was delicious! The potsticker was seasoned very well: my favorite part. To drink, I had the Asian Arnold Palmer and it was a cute drink! Only downside is the sweetness was not even distributed through the drink, even after I mixed the drink. Even though I had an issue with the service, I saw how caring they were (he looked like a manager now) to a family that came after me with organizing their seats and getting a baby chair. I just wished they gave me the same respect instead of rushing me out the door.

We were guided toward the back, past white marble tables with beautiful mustard colored velvet chairs to the long countertop facing the open kitchen. We scanned QR codes to pull up the menu, and despite no omakase noodle offerings to be found, decided to stay because the menu options they did have sounded too good to pass up. Of course they had classic shio and miso ramens, but they also had a duck tsukumen, a red snapper ramen, a black truffle ramen, and the dish I set my sights on-- the uni mazemen. There were also lots of appetizers and a long list of high end onigiri featuring proteins like scallop lemon shio, A5 wagyu ponzu, and bluefin chutoro on offer. This place was the real deal. Our group shared the tebasaki wings-- so crispy and so flavorful, I could have inhaled a whole plate of these. The salmon, ikura, and apple appetizer that was served in a glass chalice was superb but even better was the bluefin tuna avocado sashimi with wasabi. That one was a winner across the board. And then my uni mazemen, which really stole the show. There was a very generous portion of uni that mixed with the savory sauce and al dente ramen noodles perfectly. This dish was rich, unctuous, and fresh and definitely delivered in value, though it was double the price of most other noodle bowls. Uni is a delicacy. Having just returned from a second trip to Japan I can say this place is really as good as any restaurant I visited in Japan, and it's right here in Murray Hill. These Murray Hill bros are lucky.
