If you asked me to rate this restaurant on food and drinks alone, I'd say 5 stars, easily. Ask about Nathan, the server we had, and that 5-star food gets dragged straight down to a 2-star overall experience. We eat in the Hershey area constantly and are spoiled by the genuinely phenomenal service you get at Hershey Entertainment restaurants. Nathan wasn't just below that bar -- he was the worst server we've ever had, anywhere, full stop. Rude. Unprofessional. Completely incompetent. Somehow all three at once. We'd been looking forward to trying this newer Hershey spot, and Nathan singlehandedly torched the whole experience. First, the wait: over an hour for our food, on a slow Sunday evening with a half-empty dining room. Not a busy kitchen slammed on a Saturday night -- a quiet Sunday. There is no version of that wait that's defensible. Then the mistakes started stacking up, one after another. We'd told the restaurant at the time of our reservation that two people in our party had birthdays that week, specifically because this place advertises chocolate-covered strawberries for birthday guests -- it's part of why we chose it. Nathan never mentioned it, never brought it, never acknowledged it. Just dropped, like it never happened. We asked three separate times for boxes to take our leftovers home. Three times. For boxes. One of our burgers was supposed to come with chips -- it didn't, and Nathan never so much as offered to fix it. Then the carrot sticks. We asked for a side of carrot sticks for one of our kids, and Nathan told us they don't carry those -- despite having just delivered wings to our own table with a side of carrot sticks sitting right there on the plate. Instead of correcting himself, he brought fries instead and charged us for them, on top of the side that should have been included with the meal. So not only did he lie about not having what we asked for, he swapped in something else without telling us and billed us extra for it. That's the one thing we bothered flagging for the manager -- we simply didn't have the bandwidth left to fight every other failure after an hour-plus with exhausted kids who needed to get to bed. The manager, to her credit, moved fast: she got the carrot sticks out right away and pulled the fries off our bill. But that was the last we saw of her. No follow-up, no check-in to see if anything else needed fixing, nothing. She solved the one problem we raised and then disappeared, while every other issue -- the strawberries, the boxes, the missing chips -- just sat there unresolved. The food is genuinely excellent, and that makes this harder, not easier. A meal this good deserved a server who could handle the basics, and a birthday celebration deserved better than an hour of forgotten requests, invented shortages, and a surprise upcharge on food that was never supposed to cost extra. We had a great dinner at 1933 Restaurant & Tavern at The Hotel Hershey, formerly Harvest. Our server, Tamie, was excellent. She had that rare ability to interact equally well with both the adults and the kids at the table, which really added to our experience. The food was excellent. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and the fried burrata appetizer was unique and absolutely worth ordering. I highly recommend it! They were also very accommodating of a gluten allergy, which we really appreciated. Another big plus is that they're open late, making it a great option after a long day at Hersheypark when you want a good sit-down dinner rather than typical park food. We had dinner at 1933, a restaurant on the grounds of the Hotel Hershey. The restaurant is relatively new, not like the hotel. It's an attractive puby kind of place, with lots of dark wood and TVs. The menu features seafood and steak, with a few other mains and a good selection of apps, soups and salads. Prices are fair, in a tourist magnet sense. The wine list is thin, but the selections are well conceived and reasonably priced. We had the meatloaf sliders (really!!) with fries and the beef and ale pie with carrots. The food was good, particularly the carrots. Service was excellent. The only negative feature worth mentioning is the parking, which is inadequate, too few spots and no apparent alternative. We will definitely return when we're in the area. read more

1933 never misses. Ever. The staff is so kind and genuinely helpful -- the kind of service that makes you feel taken care of without being hovered over. The food? Spectacular. I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp and it was perfection. Crisp, fresh, and loaded with flavor. Ryan got the brisket benedict, and the smoky, rich flavor of that brisket could convert a non-brisket believer on the spot. And listen... I completely forgot to take a picture of the real star of the show: the she crab soup. It's the one thing I will always order when I'm at The Hotel Hershey. Creamy, rich, and absolutely unmatched. Prices are definitely higher (it's The Hotel Hershey not shocking), but totally worth it when both the food and service come through. And they did. We dined here today after enjoying spa treatments at the hotel, and while there were a few highlights, there were also several disappointments. First, the restaurant really needs to address its water. If they already have a filtration system, the filter likely needs to be replaced. I'm a big water drinker, and the water served was unpleasant enough that I couldn't drink it. I asked if they could make a chocolate martini, and while they said they could, they described it as being mostly liquor, which didn't sound very appealing. Ever since Houlihan's (which sadly closed in 2025) served the best chocolate martini I've ever had, I've been searching for one that compares. At Hotel Hershey, surrounded by everything chocolate, I expected a creative signature cocktail--maybe even a chocolate or s'mores martini. Instead, I ordered an espresso martini. Unfortunately, it was very heavy on the alcohol, had very little espresso flavor, and wasn't creamy because it didn't include Baileys. I ended up asking for a shot of Baileys and added some ice myself, which made it much more enjoyable. If you have celiac disease or need to eat gluten-free because of an allergy, this probably isn't the best dining choice. The gluten-free selection was very limited. I ended up ordering a wedge salad and asked if the blue cheese dressing was gluten-free. Our server didn't seem confident and replied, "Yeah... pretty sure," without offering to check with the kitchen, which was concerning when dealing with food allergies. One standout was the she-crab bisque--it was absolutely delicious and easily the best part of our meal. My husband ordered the loaded brisket chips. They weren't marked gluten-free, which I assume was because of the fryer or another ingredient, but there wasn't much guidance on the menu. Overall, I was surprised that a restaurant at Hotel Hershey, with Hersheypark nearby and so much emphasis on the Hershey brand, didn't offer more gluten-free options or more creative chocolate-inspired cocktails. The entryway also had a noticeable musty smell, which wasn't the best first impression. While the soup was excellent, the overall experience didn't live up to our expectations. If we return to the hotel, we'll likely choose to dine elsewhere. It would also be nice to see a dedicated mocktail menu with a few creative alcohol-free options for guests who don't drink. read more

We were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was on the back grounds of the famous Hershey Hotel Great customer service Great food - try their meatloaf and rolls. They pair some good sides with the main protein and it was delicious Great location Server told us they recently remodeled. It looked nice but they failed with their choice of Home Depot spherical chandelier lighting- very cheap looking and does not match the old world decor. We own an antique store and noticed this immediately - they have a few Tiffany style chandeliers that are perfect - they need to replace the cheap ones and it will complete their dining room. We had a private dinner at 1933, and our servers were excellent! Friendly and helpful as we reviewed the menu. Their appetizers are top-notch: I recommend the mussels, loaded brisket chips, and sliders. Great drinks, very strong. The only downside was my entree: my pan-roasted chicken was flavorless, and was quite overcooked. The full dish with asparagus and potatoes lacked salt. We ended with the tres leches carrot cake and it was incredible. So truly, other than the chicken, it was a wonderful meal! read more

I'm not sure which part of the market it's ment to fulfill, be prepared to spend a substantial amount of money here, it's sold as the casual restaurant of the resort but it's pricey like fine dining, the food was ok, not special but not terrible. this place exists and that's about it, there are better restaurants in the Hershey area were you could spend less and get better food, but if your stuck on the grounds of the resort id only recommend this place if the casual atmosphere is what you really wan, if you don't mind dressing up for dinner the other restaurants at the resort are better option. read more

We were always pleased with the food and the ambiance and generally enjoyed the service, thigh few places in this area have good professional service. My only real objection is that they are overpriced in comparison to similar local offerings. They aren't as special or as high end as they believe they are. read more

Just had lunch here. Worst pastrami sandwich I've ever had. Mostly pure fat. Some kind of weird tasting aioli on it. Also had a side of she crab soup. It was more like a bowl of creamy Campbells tomato soup with a tiny piece of crab at the bottom of the bowl. (It was cold too). I live near by, probably will never go back. WE really enjoyed our meal at 1933. I got the She crab soup and my husband had their version of French onion soup and had had 4 oysters. I ordered the 6 oz filet which was cooked perfectly and I loved their truffle fries. My husband had the Oscar rib eye and he enjoyed his as well (and he is fussy about steaks). We had a wonderful window view because the restaurant was not very crowded. I also had the Hershey Kiss martini which was awesome! We will definitely return! read more

The manager came over and offered dessert which we didn't want so he then offered to take one of our $10.00 soups off of our bill which I told him I think they should do more then that so he came back and said he took both soups off our bill so I said whatever and paid my bill. 1933 came with many great reviews but I agree with 1-3 stars. We were a table of 9 and all of us thought the food was overcooked and not worth the high cost- $48-62 for a variety of steaks. The steaks were tough or chewy and dry. My meatloaf was inedible - it was burnt and dry. I asked it be taken off the bill. It was. The crab bisque was excellent but the salads were only ok. The sides were one side dish with dinner and à la carte $10. Appetizers were ok but nothing special. The kids meals were underwhelming. The chicken tenders were so tough they had to be cut up as couldn't bite into it. The hamburger was a sliver. The fries were very good and thankfully so was the applesauce. The cocktails were great. The service staff was ok. We had to ask for refills of water which should not happen at a restaurant. The ambience was fine. Overall it was a huge disappointment. I do not recommend 1933. read more
