My transplanted barber's shop is across the street from Kings and he said the food was good and cheap. It certainly was and is. They have an amazing 12 item Super Value Lunch for only $4.50 (3/12) and includes a fried rice side, it was enough for 2 people! This is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., egg rolls were not included but were good. They will charge a little extra for adding spice and I had to do this with the beef/green pepper chop suey which I found a little bland. They were fairly quick preparing my order and I had a short wait for my take out meal and also ordered ahead of which they were on time. I have ordered from here NUMEROUS times and have never had an issue with the food or delivery. Today, after an hour+ of waiting for my delivery, I called to find out WHERE my order was... I was told the delivery person did not show up.. Ok.. not a problem... WHEN will my order be delivered?? I was told by the owner.. I will deliver it right away... still took another 25 minutes... I'm not that far... should have taken no more than 10 minutes. Normally I have no complaints about the food... today everything was TASTELESS... EXTREMELY sub par & no amount of condiments were helping... very bland and a dish that was supposed to be SPICY was the farthest thing from it... was that the no show delivery driver's fault too?? My coworker orders this once a week. Most of the food isn't really good at all. There's only one safe item I have. No. 12 Hunan Chicken. Otherwise, I've ordered some of the Sesame Chicken and it was undercooked. Other coworkers have had the same problem. But we have the one who always orders from there who loves it. But IMO, go to another Chinese food restaurant. They under cook the food and that's why some of it isn't very good. I usually get a combo plate which includes shrimp friend rice, a main entree and a egg roll. PROS: Inexpensive, fast pick up times and large portions. CONS: One particular day I had to wait 2 hours for my food to be delivered and they didn't even offer me a discount or a waiver. Some options are worse than others. For example, last time I ordered the beef with broccoli combo and it was terrible. The beef tasted like it was microwaved and I was honestly disappointed. I would suggest to stay with the orange/tsuo's chicken options. Overall it's mediocre and it will continue to be unless it gets competition. I have been ordering from them for years. Their food has changed over the years and to me their quality of their food has been down graded. Also trying to order a delivery for two items takes them forever to send out to my door. This has happened to me several times and when I try to ask where they are at their excuse is always the same. The beef egg foo young, beef chop suey and shrimp fried rice were very good. We also ordered hung su pork. The sauce did not have much taste and the fried pork was alot of fried dough.
