The new display had an issue with a cable. They didn't have any more displays to change in stock. They offered me to come again on the next day to get a new one without any additional cost. I don't give five stars lightly. Not only did they fix a severely damaged and abused child's iPhone 5 in about 20 minutes with no advance warning, they were also friendly and generous. They saw that I had walked a few miles to the store and was hot and sweaty. The adorable gal at the front counter gave me a cool liter of bottled water to drink while I waited in their air-conditioning. While waiting, I noticed them helping a couple who was looking for a present for an iPhone owner. Without any hard sales techniques, they steered the couple to what I consider very appropriate gift choices. If only all retail shops could be this good. This place deserves all the stars in the world. I bought a glass screen protector from them for about $20 and they applied it for me. If they mess it up, they open a new one and try again, which is so much better than doing it yourself! THAT, however, is NOT the reason I'm sitting here writing this review. My phone survived a dive in Lady Bird Lake. I dropped my iPhone 6S in the lake and it probably sat about 3 feet deep in that murky water for a couple of minutes. When I finally was able to get it back from the guy who jumped in for me (shoutout to that guy!), it was still working, but I shut it off right away as per the suggestion of a bystander. I had no clue what to do, but I just kept trying to shake out the water from all the openings until nothing else came out. I searched the Internet for an hour or two to figure out the best step to take. I called Apple and of course they just wanted me to buy a new phone. My boyfriend suggested that I take it to 1up, so I did because we both knew how great and knowledgable their employees are from previous experiences. I took it in at 5pm Sunday and got it back on Monday morning. They told me it was working fine and I would not need to pay for any replacement parts. They charged less than $30 to take the phone apart, put the parts in a solution that stops corrosion from the water and minerals they were exposed to, and to figure out what (if anything) was actually wrong with it after that. While I'm not 100% sure that my phone would not have survived without their services, I'm %100 glad I didn't risk it or even wait to take it in. I'm fairly confident that without 1up, I would be sitting here phoneless. These people are honest and truly know what they are doing. If they can't help you, they'll tell you. If you really don't need their services they won't lie and say you do just to take your money. I cannot praise this place enough! TL;DR I dropped my phone in the lake and 1up saved it!!! read more

Great experience! I went to three other phone repair stores today that did not have cameras for my phone and they were higher priced. Owner was very nice and honest, they made my phone look brand new after being run over. Screen changed, both cameras replaced, new case all under one hour. Went here based on great reviews on Yelp to get my iPhone 5s screen replaced. Pros: They have a very quick turn around; generally under 30 minutes which is nice. Decent customer service. The first replacement screen installed had a glitch appear when I checked it and they had it swapped with a working display in 10 minutes. Price for my screen replacement was $79 and tax. 1 year materials and workmanship warranty (doesn't cover physical damage) Cons: Part quality. No, I'm not referring to the defective first screen. It seems this screen is 3rd party (not A or B stock OEM parts). Price wise it saves a few bucks but the downside is not quite as good uniformity of color and there don't appear to be any coatings on this display. Remember oleo phobic being advertised when the iPhone 5/5S came out as an advantage over the 4S? The replacement doesn't have it... wish I'd known this in advance, I might have gone elsewhere. That said the display isn't awful, but I'll have to find a way to add that coating to my screen. It was a feature I relied on daily, as it made wiping the screen off easier and fingerprints didn't accumulate as quickly. Overall I recommend them, but you've been warned about parts sourcing. It won't make much of a difference to most people, but it does for me. read more

First of all, I contacted them through Yelp to request a quote (didn't know you could do that) they messaged me back almost immediately and I was then messaging them with basic questions instead of having to call or look online for more info. Earlier this morning, I crushed my OnePlus 3 in my car door which led to a smashed in volume button and a bent phone. These guys are pretty awesome. I went to the store last night. I was running five or so minutes past their closing time because of traffic, so I called them and asked if they would be able to keep the store open for five minutes past closing. They said that was not a problem and to come on in when I could. And so I did. I went to the store because of an issue with an iPhone. They spent twenty minutes on it, fixed the phone, and did not charge me. Yes, that is right; they said I didn't owe them anything because they didn't have to put in new parts. I insisted that they should charge me something, but they declined. "Just come back when your phone's screen breaks or something", they said. I most certainly will. Every other service I've used in Austin was sketchy, more expensive, and not as fast. These guys are the real deal and actually care about your devices. They recently fixed an improperly installed screen on my iPhone for free and cleaned out my battery jack. I'm seriously jaw dropped. Every other sketchy phone service refused to even look at the screen that had already been put on and wanted to charge $70+ to give me a whole new screen with no other option. I called on two different occasions before going to see them about a graphics problem I was having on a Samsung tablet to make sure they would be able to do something if I drove the 35-ish miles to get there. When I finally went there, the young man snooped around the settings and decided there was nothing he could short of replacing parts and that would not be cost effective and no guarantee that the problem would be resolved. Thank you for that. I showed him pictures and suggested that maybe the problem I was having might be a heat-related issue. He assured me that hardware was not subject to heat.
