Food was delicious! Very big portions. Waitress was very kind and talkative. Cute little hole in the wall.

It was my nickname as a child so I had to try it! In an area without many breakfast options it is a solid choice. As long as you aren't trying to eat healthy it's a fine option. Although they probably have healthier options than what we chose so take that into account. I had eggs potatoes toast. Pretty typical. Husband had the omelette and said it was okay. He would try something else next time. Son had bacon and eggs and claimed it was the best bacon he has ever had. Coffee was great. Service was very good although my husband's coffee cup was empty several times. But he is a camel with coffee so that's sometimes an issue. Aside from the alarming loud comment of a woman sitting next to me to her companion that "good Christians have mugshots because they are fighting for freedom" (ummm 'scuse me? I missed that in my Bible!) it was a fine Sunday morning breakfast and we will be back.

Yum! I have been wanting to try this place for a year now and finally made the trip. We were seated right away on a weekend morning. Our server was so helpful and kind with great recommendations. The menu gave me a good laugh with the "parking lot chicken". The food came out in a decent amount of time but not a long time. Everything was fresh and tasted good. The French toast was too much for me to eat I was only able to finish one piece.

A very large bill for the horrible service and cold food

I went to a late breakfast today and the service was terrible. The waitress had an attitude because we wanted to sit outside , they made us wait for almost 45 mins for our food. My BLT wasn't toasted and it was cold, wen asked why they just said that the toaster would burn the bread if they were to toast it. I used to love 2 bits but today I can't say that. Service and food ,very unhappy with both. After today I would not go back again. Very disappointed

    Luv H.

It's wasnt that bad.. Good service.. Nice breakfasts joint... Food was alright. I order the fried chicken, thought it was fried chicken and side of gravy and biscuit but it actully a monster stack all together like in the picture... Biscuit alright...

I had the Huevos Rancheros, which were excellent especially with their homemade hot salsa. My wife was so so on the BLT.

Visited March 7th. Ordered on line so see my receipt on the bag…read more This is a very cool and casual place in Yuba City. Tastefully decorated inside. I ordered to go but they have an outside covered area that allows your fur babies!!! I was able to bring my puppy out to the enclosed area with his carrier. So hard to find places that allow dogs ( except Grass Valley..totally cool!). I ordered the Thai shrimp...chicken lollipops and parm chicken wings. All to go ( Ordered ahead ). Because they were not busy outside we ordered a beer and nibbled on the appetizers. My puppy loved it! My fav is the Thai shrimp! Love the sauce on them along with the coleslaw. It was a Great experience again and the Petes blonde ale was delicious! Good portions as well! Great service! If you like sports they have plenty of tvs to watch throughout the restaurant! So ambiance was expected, quiet, slow, empty. Ordered Ahi Tuna - the Asian salad was better than the Tuna. Sear the Tuna harder, reduce the salt on your spice mix, you're taking away from the fish. Let the tuna speak. Ordered the Margherita flatbread - Served with Ranch? Com'on Had a whole half leaf of basil on it too. Chiffonade the Basil. Took a bite and BAM!, at least throw San Marzano tomatoes on there. This is Basic Italian. Either the right tomato or the right mozzarella quality, choose one, makes a world of difference. Service was as good as you can expect, no complaints there. The server seemed either overwhelmed, or overworked. Likely the latter, running a skeleton crew to save money only works for a few months then you get a negative feedback loop in hiring and training costs. Do Better. New management? Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Maryville (at 1st & D St's), and next to the Chinese "Bok Kai Temple", this longstanding and well known restaurant/saloon/hotel has been in operation dating way back to 1858 when the peak of the gold rush era was thriving in California. Over the years, the upstairs hotel (a.k.a. "The Grand Hotel") was once a brothel amongst various operations before becoming a permanent hotel for guests to stay. Meanwhile the downstairs has served as a full-size bar complete with a ton of American comfort food to choose from on their extensive menu. I came here during the afternoon of Saturday 7/19/2025 at around 4:30pm. Since this was during the 25th annual "Marysville Peach Festival", there was a ton of customers and locals visiting during my visit. Surprisingly, parking was easy to find as I parked directly outside of the building. Once inside, you are immediately drawn to the nostalgic wooden interior. From the looks of it, not much has changed here over the years complete with vintage sepia chandeliers, huge brick ovens, taxidermy displays of various animals, and everything else that represented the wild wild west. Their menu is extensive and has just about all of the stick-to-your-ribs food you can ask for. This includes a ton of appetizers (poppers, fries, mozzarella sticks, etc.) as well as a nice variety of main course entrées that include sandwiches, burgers, salads, steaks, pastas, and much more. And since you're in a saloon, they offer all of the top whiskies, bourbons and brandies as well as a ton of beer on tap. Keep in mind that they are closed on Monday & Tuesday but open for business Wed/Thu and Sunday from 11am-8pm and Fri/Sat from 11am-9pm. After narrowing down what I wanted, I finally settled with their "French Dip" sandwich. This was a traditional and classic sandwich complete with their smoked roast beef w/Swiss cheese & mayonnaise on a hoagie roll with a side of Au Jus sauce. I opted with home fries as my side and a Coke to drink. I also ordered a starter appetizer which was their crispy "Chicken Tenders". Our server was very attentive as my +1 and I sat on a quieter side of the restaurant (near the windows). Total time took around 25 minutes to get our food; not a big deal considering this place was absolutely packed with customers. Overall, my French Dip was delicious and filling. They were generous with the thin sliced roast beef while there was the perfect amount of cheese. The au jus had the right amount of consistency as each bite hit the spot. However, the chicken tenders were just so-so as there was too much breading on the exterior. And considering these were $16.95 for 4 tenders, it was quite a bit on the pricier side. I don't want to knock this place too much but I did see quite a bit of flies by our table. But I do realize that some of these things are beyond their control with as busy as it was. All in all, the "Silver Dollar Saloon" is a good place for small and large gatherings. The service was excellent while we got filled up during our visit. My rating, an above average four stars.
