My first and last experience was not good. Clam chowder lacked flavor and lacked clams while being only slightly warm. It came with what was supposed to be Italian bread, but resembled store bought white bread. My wife sampled some other soups but thought the beef in the beef stew was very tough to chew and some of the other soups she sampled were sweet tasting and just had an off taste.The sandwich was nothing to talk about but came with some old, hard, cold thick chips that were hardly digestible and most of the customers were not eating them. Went there for lunch on my day off. This is the second time I've had food from this place however this is the first time I've actually been inside. The environment wasn't too welcoming because the lady who greeted me was not pleasant at all nor inviting... Our intention was to sit and enjoy our meal however we got our food and left. We got the following soups: loaded potato, New England chowder, sea crab and chef club sandwich. We had both the olive and whole wheat bread slices. The food tasted delicious; I truly enjoyed their potato soup and the bread was fresh! I'd recommend it for the food however the service wasn't great. read more

Twenty soups to choose from!! Great little place in strip mall on SE corner of Jog and Lantana has terrific sandwiches, breads, desserts and platters at reasonable prices. Only 5 tables so it seems to do a good take out business. Good deal was the half sandwich/soup special for $8.90. You can choose any sandwich and a bowl of any soup. Best soup place in Lake Worth! They must have 15 different types of soup and they're all delicious. Tried the Loaded Baked Potato, Chicken Pot Pie, and the Veal Stew. Highly recommend the dinner specials. They run $11.90, and the portions are gigantic (seriously, sharing size) Comes with 16oz of soup and a huge entree. The soup is hit or miss but the older woman with the short red hair who is there all the time is a sure miss. She is by far the rudest person I have ever met. I understand that they may get busy but apologize and take ownership when you burn a sandwich and I ask to cancel. Instead she yells garbage about us and expects us to not say anything. Get over yourself and grow up. It's the service industry and there are reasons it is called that. They say you can have as many samples as you want but they don't mean it. While waiting for our food forever my two year old ate a few samples because it was taking so long. When they burnt the grilled cheese which should be simple to make they blamed the grill instead of the truth which was they forgot it, and then they got mad when we said can we just cancel it and said just get another soup she's had sooo many samples anyway. She is a two year old waiting for food and their policy is you can have as many samples as you want. They also tried to say they don't have authorization to do a refund since the owner wasn't there. Little mom and son run soup place that offers 15+ fresh and delicious soups every day. They let you sample the soups so there's no chance of picking something you don't like. Translated means you can afford to be adventerous and sample their She Crab soup or Beer Cheese or if you're lucky, you might stumble upon the chefs Meatloaf soup! I tried it once and it was to die for! Tasted like a meatloaf and mashed potatoes dinner with gravy. So yummy! Today I tried the Roasted Red Pepper with Gouda and my all-time favorite, the Butternut Squash both served with your choice of bread and I am always getting the whole grain, but the olive and French breads are fantastic too. It's slightly less than $8 for a pint of their specialty soups which these both are but they also have classic soups for about $7 a pint. For classic think tomato basil, chicken & veggie or french onion. For specialties you are looking at Beer Cheese, Cincinnati Chili, Clam Chowder, Loaded Baked Potato and lots of others. Both the Red Pepper and Butternut Squash soups I got today are delicious and worthy of 5 stars, creamy heaven in a bowl. The Butternut Squash is slightly sweet and the Roasted Red Pepper is slightly salty from the gouda but not too salty, it's just right and when you dip the bread into it...ta da!!! Perfection! This place is consistently delicious. The owners and staff are very friendly. I drove down from Palm Beach Gardens to get my soup fix today and I'll do it again and again! read more

The chips they serve with the sandwiches are a joke.. they must put them on the plate for looks only. They let you have as many samples as you like which is very helpful. We settled on the butternut squash soup which was simply outstanding, as was the large slices of olive and whole grain breads. Sorry, it looks like something that went through the blender...the Italian Wedding soup has finely shredded chicken all thru it, one meatball and a few chunks of carrots and celery and onion and over-cooked green stuff and no pasta! Too salty, oil floating on top...not good! The Beef Barley had no beef in it and clumps of cold barley... I tasted the French Onion, too much wine and salt!!! The bread was dry and crumbly..
