Smoked ribs smothered in BBQ sauce
    Stacy P.

When you live in an apartment and do not have the luxury of being able to throw a rack of ribs on the frill or smoke a tri-tip life can suck So one of my favorite things to do is sit on Instagram salivating over all the mobile BBQ joints popping up all over the Bay Area and dream about them coming to a town near me... LOL. I finally found a good one locally with 2 Chubbz-N-A Rub BBQ and their name is also a plus as I love a good business name! After looking at their Instagram pics for a month or so an opportunity arose for me to give them a try. My dad does all of the BBQ'ing and I thought for Father's Day I would invite him over and provide the BBQ. I hit em up on IG and places my order for a 4 pm pickup. The food was piping hot and ready to go when I got there and since I live just down the street a mile or two away it was just perfect to eat when I got home. The tri-tip was smoked to my liking. Cooked all the way, juicy and tender with good seasoning and flavor. I hate when you get meat from a place and have to smother it in BBQ sauce to have flavor. Not here. The ribs were perfect as well. I absolutely love smoked meats and the flavor. I could have eaten the with just a dry rub but the BBQ sauce had good flavor and it wasn't dripping in sauce. Just enough to give it that right amount of umpff, if you know what I mean. The sides are also equally important and they didn't slack here either. The Mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, tender noodles, and good flavor. I am really critical of Mac and cheese because it is one of my favorite foods. The green beans were superb. I always cook my green beans with sautéed onions and either bacon grease or fresh bacon if I have it and boy were these green beans just like I cooked them myself. Some people don't put enough bacon to get the flavoring right but they got it just right. Sides definitely passed my expectations. Everyone enjoyed the food and there was even some left after the 4 of us ravaged it. I will definitely order from them in the future and plan to try some of their pulled pork stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. OMG I can almost taste it right now. LOL

This is the address of the bbq place. No phone answer. No business.

Does not serve food. Residential address. No answer no phone. No one responded to call and no one at the residence. Do not travel to this location. No answering machine message either.

From left to right: ribs, tri tip, brisket, tri tip, mild links. Sides were Mac and cheese, baked beans, potato salad (our fave)

I first heard about this spot here on yelp, the photos look fantastic and I knew we had to try it! Well I figured out that you gotta wait until they're cooking to order. So I followed them on IG and set up notifications when they post bc I knew we just had to try their stuff. So I waited about a month and finally got the notification, they were gonna do plates. So we got 2 plates and omg... was it worth the wait a thousand times over. The ribs had a crispy chicharrón layer on top and juicy tender meat on the inside. The tri tip was succulent, as was their brisket. We literally had zero complaints. So we knew we had to order again. The following week, they posted they were doing a full rack of ribs/full size tri tip on Saturday. Well we cancelled our plans just for this, and it was WORTH IT. The ribs were just... absolute perfection. The pork is clean and doesn't weigh in your stomach heavy after eating like other bbq spots will. A full rack was enough to feed the both of us THREE separate times, and even as microwaved leftovers their ribs were still perfectly juicy and delicious. I literally cannot put into words how amazing this barbecue is. Do whatever you gotta do to try it bc it is SO worth any wait times, these guys have some kind of talent idk what but truly the best ribs we've ever eaten in our lives. Thanks guys.

Best BBQ in Vacaville. There ribs, brisket ,pork belly bites ,tri tip and bacon wrapped pulled pork stuffed jalapeños poppers always on point. Oh and there BBQ beans best I ever had. Chris jimmy and Anthony know they're BBQ. I've tried many different BBQ spots in the Vacaville/Fairfield area and this hand down is my favorite. Best taste and flavor.

Where in the world is this place? I've been driving around forever!!! It isn't located at the current address I came out to Vacaville just to check it out!

They work out of their home or do events. If you DM them on Instagram and place an order you will get their home address. Or check out their Instagram to see what event they are grilling at.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a couple of employees at the balloon archway at the front of the restaurant, handed each of us a National Tri Tip Day sticker and told about the specials they had for this event: free tri tip sandwiches for the first 100 people, $5 draft beers and a chance to win free tri tips for 1 year. They were decently busy, so we opted to order at the outside pickup window and take our order home to eat. We ordered 4 tri tip sandwiches to take home ($43.21 with tax). When I opened up my Buckhorn Rewards App, I saw that I had an 1 year celebration reward (5oz Burnt Ends w/ Fried Onion Strings), I redeemed that with my order. At the ordering counter the had a QR code to enter their "Free Tri Tips for a Year" drawing, which I entered. Both their tri tip sandwiches and Burnt Ends were delicious! They had some side sauces (chipotle ranch and sweet fire BBQ) that I poured onto the sandwich and then I dipped the sandwich in their Au Jus which was a great combination. I believed the tri tip sandwiches are normally $15.50, but were $9.99 for today's event, it was a great deal. Buckhorn BBQ and Grill is a great place for the BBQ meat lover. Their prices are not cheap, but the quality is there. They do have some deals on the menu and specials on certain days such as $10 for 3 fish tacos on Fridays. Don't forget to join their rewards program for free food.

I was shocked to learn that this is only Camille's second shift behind the bar, but she managed to handle hungry, cranky diners like a pro. Always get the same thing here tri-tip and the crispy chicken salad. This restaurant gets five stars because it's consistent on the long drive home from Sac to San Francisco. It's nice to be able to stop along the way and know exactly what you're going to be eating. Tonight was an extra bonus because Camille is quite the conversationalist and a great addition to this restaurant

Crunchy, saucy and juicy chicken. All are boneless, too. Comes with a side of daikon and shredded cabbage for dat fiber tho. My boo and I tried their galbi jjim with cheese. It came out in a fancy stone pot. It was loaded with pumpkin, carrots, rice cakes, glass noodles and their beef short ribs. The beef was tender and the veggies and rice cakes were tasty in the savory sweet sauce. We ordered a side of corn with cheese torched on top. It was pretty filling for 2 people. We had leftovers so the waitress took it to the back and had it sealed in a box for us to take. Their bbq chicken was surprisingly good! My SIL really liked it! The chicken wasn't dry and it was nicely seasoned and had a bit of char from their sizzling stone plate and tasted great with their rice and banchan side dishes. I like their kimchi, broccoli, macaroni and bean sprout sides. You can get them replenished, too! My mom tried their bulgogi bibimbap and she didn't have any complaints. My bro tried their brisket seolleongtang soup and he seemed to enjoy it because he finished the whole bowl without sharing. My lil' (under 2yo) nephew approved of anything that landed on his plate. Maru is located in a shopping plaza and tucked in the corner near Raley's. The restaurant is small, but modern. It's definitely not a place you would expect in Fairfield. Both times that I've come here we didn't have an issue with waiting for a table despite it being a small shop. You can order from a waiter, or you can order from their tablet screen at the table. Overall, good korean food for a reasonable price. Service was quick and the vibes were right. They were playing some kpop music! I'd definitely come back to get more fried chicken and try their soft tofu stew. Check them out if you're in the area. They should have Badtz Maru as their mascot lol
