I called to place order. Got a recording. Got a return call confirming my order. Found it's better to text with C6 or F7 unless one can speak Vietnamese. Main associate lacks English proficiency. Much easier for her to get "code" Place was an easy find. Street parking slightly difficult. Unknown if parking in their lot is permissible. Went towards big building on the right . Found unit with "Taste of Asia" brochure on window. Just before the gate. Bingo! Stood in front of open door until Vietnamese lady came out with my order. $21 cash. Unknown if Zelle has tax added to it. Tipped a little. Lady hesitated to give change. Offerings (Vietnamese): street food, drinks, coffee. Sips: Cafe Muoi Bien (sea salt foam Vietnamese coffee, 7)-Viet coffee, sea salt foam, condensed milk. -coffee didn't look full. No doubt foam on top shrank/mixed into coffee. -bold coffee with alternating sweet & salty tastes depending on sipping foam or condensed milk. Bites: Banh Trang Cuon (Vietnamese Special roll, 14). There's also a salad version with same ingredients & no wrapping. -dipping sauce had sweet & savory notes. -rice roll had dominant theme of beef jerky. The surrounding nuanced taste was a symphonic medley of carrots, quarter sectioned boiled eggs, coriander, green mango, dried shrimp, fried onions, peanuts & green mangos, 5 stars Worthy! Quality: freshly premade. Quantiy: ample enough for a meal. Would repeat. *Taste of Asia "passport" given to win prizes from buying from food vendors in Oakland Chinatown & San Leandro Asian businesses. It's not the most convenient and typical location. More of an Oakland food adventure, you can to see more of the local vibes of food offerings. The spot is marked with the spinning trompo and this is their specialty. We sat down and our al pastor taco orders were off. They were definitely busy during lunch time and we were able to snag a table. Food is definitely made to order and sprinkled with pineapple. The al pastor was nicely charred and tasty. Table side salsa provides the option of the green salsa or fiery spicy red. The red salsa kicks a bunch but it burns so good. There's also pickled onions just beware of the orange slices as those seem to be habaneros. The staff are super friendly and we'll be coming back for more cravings. Cash only.

It had never been on my radar before, but after seeing some buzz about it on r/oaklandfood on Reddit, I had to try it. All I can say is: WOW. Do you know how The Cheesecake Factory has a massive menu with 200 items, none of which are done well? This is the exact opposite. They do one thing--Puebla-style al pastor, cooked on a trompo--and they have completely mastered it. The al pastor was cooked to perfection--not oily or greasy at all (which some places struggle with). The meat-to-tortilla ratio was spot-on, and the pineapple chunks were fresh, a real treat, and perfectly proportioned. A really nice touch is that the plate came with a flat tostada shell, so you can scoop up any filling that falls out. They offer two types of salsa picante: Salsa roja - Flavorful and seriously spicy Salsa verde - Milder but still delicious One word of caution: onions with habanero slices are on the tables. They are delicious but go slow--I overdid it and had to take a break. The stand has plenty of seating, it's very clean, and the people running it are super friendly and happy to answer questions. This is a top-tier taco spot. Highly recommend checking it out! Cash and Zelle / no credit cards

Not a lot of taco spots are open late at 10p but I saw that PNT was open. My family and I pulled into the driveway and were confused because it looked and sounded like a bar. There were a few people standing outside and I asked if this was a bar or restaurant and the gentleman said it's a restaurant. We walk in and got some stares because it was late and we had kids. Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if the evening chef cooks better or maybe we were starving, but the food was great! Ambience at the time was pretty loud but I figure it's because people hanging out in the bar area. Definitely will be back.

‼Absolutely horrible tasting food that is ridiculously over priced oh my god. NOT WORTH MY $44 !…read more I got these food items: Asada tacos- 1/2 of the taco meat was just big oily chunks of fat, I spat it out immediately. Rest of it was tolerable to chew. Tortilla was dry and oily. Al Pastor tacos- bland meat with a lingering dry pepper aftertaste that makes the meat taste old. Took one bite and was immediately repulsed. Chips and dip (guac and salsa)- chips are oily and hard to chew. Guac was bland, no garlic or cut tomato. Salsa was a viscous sludge in a small tub, had the same pepper taste as the Al Pastor. Horchata drink- too much cinnamon and saw multiple lidded to go cups of this already made in the fridge behind the register, no expiration dates on them. ALSO PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES ON YOUR MENU, I was charged $11.95 for the chips and dip but the menu says "house chips and guac $9.50" ... how is salsa $2.45? Only positive thing I would mention is that the free tiny salsa, slice of lime, sliced radish, and pickled jalapeño and carrot was nice of them. Wish the pickled veggies didn't drip vinegar all over the bag (it was wrapped in tin foil). Never been here before and never coming back again.
