Twas a dreary day before the 2 Girls 4 Wheels food truck arrived at my workplace. I was feeling off. Maybe it was the lack of sleep, the grey gloom-filled sky that drizzled Colorado's leftover rain down from the Rockies, or simply an underlying existential dread surfacing in front of my face. Lunchtime rolled around and I fashioned myself a sad excuse for a meal: a few slabs of Costco salami and a slice of Pepper Jack cheese tucked between two measly bookends of bread. I peaked outside, noticing a long line of coworkers extending past the iron entrance gates, patiently awaiting their orders. "Too long..." I thought to myself as I slid back into the shadows of my corporate chair. I winced at the clock as their time window inched closer to an end. A bellow from my cavernous stomach thrusted me back outdoors. Optimistically I strolled up five minutes before close, hoping they were still open for business even though the line had been thoroughly demolished by the daily work bell. I muttered something inquisitively. Both girls enthusiastically informed me they had one sandwich left. My ears stretched upward as a smile spread across my face. Shortly after handing over my plastic payment, they informed me their machine was slow to reboot. I offered Venmo but was kindly shot down and sent away with a free masterpiece of a sandwich. Only one ray of sunshine broke through the sea of St. Louis clouds that day and it was there in that moment. In between two perfectly circular toasted buns laid a more than generous amount of grilled steak, topped with juicy caramelized onions, accented with a garlic aioli. BEWARE don't do business with this company. 2 Girls 4 Wheels, we provided a service in which we towed a food truck from South St.Louis out to Troy, MO in which the customer shorted us on pay not paying their total bill at time of delivery. The owner cried and pleaded on the phone trying to urgently get us to tow it out to an event by 4PM in which she called us at 1PM. We worked with her and even got the Food Truck out there an hour early at 3PM. She even ran behind to their catering event that started at 4PM that she was supposed to be catering. Had us waiting around for another 45 mins to hour after we delivered food truck to venue. We being an understanding small business accepted that she would keep her word and promise to pay us the remaining balance following the conclusion of the event. It was the first time this truck came to our work so I HAD to try it out. The menu was posted outside the truck and what was absent was one of the things on the web site: Brussel Sprouts. It is a veggie I love. The lady working the truck said their supplier has been out. She was very apologetic. I asked what should I get to make a good first impression. She suggested the Pulled Pork sandwich. As it turns out, I am glad I did for it was good AND, found out later, that it was the first type of sandwich she ran out of stuff to make! The pork was done well. They use Maulls BBQ sauce but not too much. The sandwich was heavy, filling, and delicious. I also got a side of Beans. it was worth the walk to the truck and I look forward to them returning so I can try the Steak Sandwich. Many of my co-workers got it and enjoyed it. terrible experience, they don't know how to use google maps to find our location for the happy hour we had set up with them, so they were 90 minutes late & then had to heat it all up, took 30 minutes for the first person to get their food, an hour for a toasted cheese sandwich. They ran out of food-hot dogs, brats, & toppings- they only offer 5 items for meals so how can you run out &they were to go to another event after ours, we only had 25-30 people when they were to feed 50-no reason for a food shortage. most left without getting food, the sandwiches didn't have enough meat on them for the large buns. not recommended read more

The STL Cheese Steak sandwich was amazing! Initially, I had my eyes on another menu item. Then I noticed a "famous" note pointing to the cheesesteak sandwich so I figured I should try that instead. And boy, now I understand why. The was a ton of flavor and the garlic aioli with the provel cheese was a delicious combination! Size-wise, it was perfect and the toasted bun added the right amount of crunch. My only complaint was that the sandwich was very messy and not the best for a conference lunch, as it was hard to not get it all over myself. When I picked the sandwich up for the first bite, the bottom bun was already a bit soggy. I understand that cheese steak sandwiches do come with some mess, so all this was somewhat expected. The ladies running the truck moved people through the line fast. As I mentioned, I was at a conference at Union Station and there was quite a line. These girls kick ass! Was super busy at a conference at union station hotel, they were the only food truck! With a one hour lunch break and one truck, they were completely slammed! I'd never considered hiring a food truck for an event before and Cherish was great to work with. She was in constant communication with me, worked on the menu with me a bit to make sure I had everyone's tastes covered, was prompt and professional. Everyone loved the food! It's hard to please everyone at some events. I rotate a few regulars when planning events and 2 Girls 4 Wheels is now one of my regulars. I'm always up for checking out a new food truck, but because I'm a vegetarian, this one was not one of the trucks that I sought out intentionally. However, Chop Shop is, and they were at City Garden with 2 Girls 4 Wheels a few days ago. My boyfriend is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, not a sushi guy, so he decided to order from here instead. Because I hate to be left out, even though I got my food from Chop Shop, I had to have their grilled cheese too. All of their main offerings (pulled pork sandwich, cheesesteak, chili, brats, slinger) are under 6 dollars, and the grilled cheese, advertised as having a hint of sweet flavor, and with a dipping sauce, is only 4 dollars. They also have chips (some weird brand with a rapper's face on them...kind of strange), gooey butter cake, and soda. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which he didn't like that much, and while I liked the grilled cheese, it was kind of basic. What set it apart was the sweet flavor that came through every few bites, probably from the bread, and it was cooked very well. The dipping sauce was marinara, which I found to be quite odd. I love the concept of a dipping sauce, but who wants marinara on their grilled cheese? I would love to see them add a pesto, aioli, garlic butter...that would definitely bring me back. Also, how about some fries or something? Some people don't like rap on their radios or on their potato chip bags! I'm a big food truck supporter, but overall, the experience was just ok for me. The prices are reasonable, the grilled cheese was well cooked, and I think there is potential here. Ordered the pepper jack burger at food truck Friday and was hoping to find a new favorite. Instead I found a sad meat patty that tasted like it was frozen (not fresh) on a soggy, cheap bun. It was the smallest, grossest burger I've ever had and at $6 it should have had some real flavor. It was really bizarre and I can't use the excuse that "it's a food truck" because most of the STL food trucks take pride in fresh, yummy food at a great value. Unfortunately this truck is a definite skip. PS-I gave it 2 stars because the gooey butter cake I got as well was actually perfect! I've tried them twice, and I dig their attitude and local emphasis. The food is decent, but there are certainly better trucks out there. If this one happens to be the area, though, I would have no qualms about going to it. The first time I had the pork sandwich. Gotta love the Maull's sauce. 4 stars for this meal. The second time I had the steak sandwich. The provel was nicely pronounced, but it didn't have much breadth of flavor. 3 stars for this trip. Our preferred gyro truck was not around at the Creve Couer Park food truck gathering last night, so we thought we try out a couple of sandwiches and the white chicken chili here. I tried the cheese steak and my wife figured it's hard to go wrong with pulled pork, but we were sorely disappointed. The pulled pork was just bad. Extremely greasy, barely a hint of sauce, and an unpleasant bland flavor (that maybe more sauce would've hidden). My wife couldn't get more than few bites into it. Looking at a few of the reviews praising it, I have to wonder if this was just an off night, but we won't risk it again. The cheese steak was a little better, but was oddly lacking in cheese and the "steak" was in the form of Steak-Umms with what seemed like a brown greasy gravy on it, and if there were onions or peppers I couldn't taste them. At least I could eat it, but I wouldn't recommend it. The chili, at least, was decent. Very cheesy (which was odd considering the missing cheese on the cheese steak), big chunks of chicken, pretty good flavor. I guess that's enough to tip this into a 2-star review, but just barely. read more

Today I went on my break to get something from this truck, well I ordered the white chicken chili and turtle brownie. They had the music so loud no one could hear their name being called, it took 20mins for them to spoon out the chili into the cup from a crockpot that CLEARLY wasn't on because it was cold when I took my first and last bite not only that it was over salted and very peppery.
