He leans in and says, "I can put one together for you... just trust me." And listen... that was the moment I decided to surrender control and embark on a culinary adventure. As he started listing what he had in mind, my skepticism quickly turned into straight-up anticipation. It already sounded incredible--but I HAD to chime in and add tomatoes and banana peppers (because balance, obviously). What I received for $13 was not just a wrap. It was a masterpiece. This thing was PACKED--like, no-such-thing-as-skimping levels of juicy, flavorful chicken. Every bite hit. Every ingredient showed up. No fillers, no regrets. I was really excited to see that they have hot link sandwiches on the menu so I have to go back and try their hot links. Anyway I got to watch them prepare my food through the open kitchen window area which is cool because you know it's made to order. While you're waiting they have arcade games, a book nook and music and TVs. It's a cool little place to hang out for a while and leisurely enjoy snacks. My burger was good and the fries were well seasoned. My funnel cake was just okay, but I took it to go. I'm sure it would have been great if I had eaten it fresh out of the fryer. The first thing I noticed when I walked through the door was the pie case. It was "seat yourself," so I decided to sit at the counter. I was acknowledged and waited on right away. They have menus, but I didn't really need one because of the lighted display boards on the wall above the counter. Originally, I was going to order ice cream but decided on a slice of coconut cream pie and a cup of coffee. Not many people were ordering coffee, so I got a fresh pot. The pie crust was flaky while the filling was rich and creamy. My only regret is that I didn't have enough room to order a slice of peach crumb pie, too. Young's features the piecrete which is a slice of pie blended with soft-serve ice cream. Some of the pie is reserved for the topping. (I will definitely have to try one of those!) Also, on my "to-try" list is the chicken basket. The chicken is given a saltwater rinse (brining), before being breaded and cooked in a pressure fryer. While chicken is what they are famous for, I would say it's their friendly, top-notch service that accounts for their repeat business and longevity. Not many restaurants have been in business for over 70 years! If your travels take you to Valley Park, this place is a must stop. Be sure to check out the photos and memorabilia. He was great, I hadn't asked for no cheese and didn't realize the potatoes came that way. Omelet was thick and fluffy with lots of veggie filling, I was surprised the peppers where pimentos but I love pimentos so I loved the omelette. He returned the potatoes minus the parm and they were delicious! Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Check out was quick and easy and we are on our way. The fries were decent, but the chicken breast on my sandwich looked like it came from a baby chicken. No way this is a chicken breast, but rather a small cutlet. A bit deceptive on the menu. I am pretty sure that during my visit there was an area manager, or possibly the store manager, sitting near me, but she spent more time talking on her phone than doing anything to improve the customer experience. My experience did not equal the $23 I paid for my meal. I will not be returning, nor would I recommend.

Egg over easy 3/5  good but the yolks wasn't running like it supposed to be Potatoes 5/5 smothered potatoes; best ever I had from a restaurant hands down  Wheat toast; 3/5  I would have prefer white bread. Particularly with the sheer amount fries in the box, you could easily split it. I do want to eventually come by and try one of their desserts, but I was absolutely stuffed after my food, so I did not indulge this time. Considering the serving size, I think the price is very reasonable. It's not a huge menu, but sometimes that's just a sign that they only make what they know they can do well. Highly recommended

Went with the egg salad sando and togarashi fries and a pork tonkatsu sando with sweet curry fries. They both came with a curry dip. Togarashi is the clear winner, even for a curry fan like me. The decor is so cute, with murals and a variety of seating. There are cards and games in one corner. Note: this is NOT fast food. Ingredients are prepped, but the time it takes to fry a pork tonkatsu is the time it takes. There were only half a dozen people in front of me, but there was a bit of a wait. I'd love to come back and try the taiyaki and fruit sandos. I'll be enjoying my leftovers for the next couple of days. The egg salad sando seems very pricy, volume-wise compared to the pork.
