Yummy! From the outside, I won't lie, this place doesn't look like much. It shares a wall with an emissions testing station, but don't judge this book by its cover! My boss wanted to come here for her birthday, and I'm glad we did! First thing I noticed was how many plants are inside and all look extremely healthy. Not really a review point but I liked it. The menu is longggg. Almost overwhelmingly long, but lots of options. I opted for the Pho, which came in a HUGE bowl with lots of accompaniments. I also ordered the tofu spring rolls (not pictured because they were devoured) and the mango boba smoothie. Everything was really tasty and our waiter was very attentive and kind. I'm really glad we came to try it out. I would come back again!

Freaking grilled pork was f**cking tasty. A little 5 spice but not 5 spice... Thai iced tea showed up in a giant mug. Not as flavorful as others I've had. Your table water rolls up with a slice of citrus. Ooo la la! Spring rolls had tons of flavor from the grilled beef. They had basil, bean sprouts and lettuce. Condiments: hoisin, chili in oil, soy sauce

Very lovely place, great plant scenery inside, the owner is nice and makes sure your order is compete. Their egg rolls are amazing! So crunchy and flavorful!! Also the portions are huge! Definitely recommend

shredded pork roll. It should be called shredded pork skin roll

3 stars because everything was overly salted. From the rice noodle in the spring roll to the soup base in the Pho. I just landed in New Mexico for work. It was 85 degrees with thunderstorms. No matter what, if it's 105 degrees outside, I can still eat Pho. I found this place on Yelp so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived, I got seated right away and the owners are very nice. I ordered the following: Fresh Spring Roll with Shredded Pork: $3.75 - It was ok, I thought that there would be shredded pork meat but it only has pork skin so the title of this dish should be renamed to Fresh Spring Roll with Shredded Pork SKIN. Lot's of noodles and pork skin but the noodles and rice paper tasted like it was marinated in salt water. Pho with Rare Beef, Tripe and Tendon: $7.50 - Generous portion, lots of noodles, meat and vegetables. The saltiness of the broth killed the dish but it still had good flavor. I doubt that I will go here again. There are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurant's in NM.

This is by far my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town. They are quick, fresh and large portions. The staff is friendly and fast. Everything on the menu is delicious. Mmt favorite is threw Pho with meatballs. I love how much veggies they give you as well.

Great food and cheap prices. Not the fanciest digs in town but the people are nice and the portion sizes are solid.

If you are in Albuquerque and craving a solid banh mi, CODA Bakery is a great spot to check out. I…read moreordered the classic banh mi dac biet, and it absolutely delivered. The cold cuts were flavorful, the bread was fresh, and the meat to bread ratio was just right since I like more meat than bread. This is an excellent option for a quick lunch, but I would recommend staying to eat if you can. The decor is simple, the space is clean, and there are a few tables available. It does get busy during the lunch rush, but the line moves quickly and is well worth the wait. While the banh mi definitely steals the show, there are plenty of other options on the menu. Their banh cuon, thin rice noodles filled with ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, was good, though still second to the sandwiches. They also offer pate chau, a flaky puff pastry filled with pork pate, including a New Mexico style version with chicken and green chile. They have a variety of Vietnamese desserts like che, which I did not get a chance to try this time. My coworker loved their traditional Vietnamese hot coffee. I do not drink coffee, but I did enjoy one of their smoothies, which was refreshing and delicious. Overall, CODA Bakery is a go to spot for authentic Vietnamese flavors and one of the best places in Albuquerque for banh mi.

I have never seen such a lack of consensus on any issue like on the question of which is the best…read moreVietnamese (VN) restaurant in Albuquerque. It's not down to an agreed list of two or three. When you open up the question, you get a dozen or more answers. That situation can mean many or all of several things: (1) Maybe Albuquerque really is VN food heaven; (2) Maybe there is no consensus on what constitutes really good VN food; or (3) Maybe most people pick the first VN restaurant they like and stick with it. I did #3 for years, sticking with Vietnam 200 and Viet Taste. Well, things change -- great restaurants slip and deliver mediocre experiences. Or we just get tired of same old, same old, and want to look around. I began looking around with a trip to Saigon City, an old restaurant in a slick new location in the same strip with Pars Middle Eastern restaurant in 25 Way. I went last night with my daughter and son-in-law, both experienced eaters. I previewed their menu on their website (a good thing when faced with a huge menu). I selected three items I wanted to try. Leaving the Pho for a later trip, I chose to begin with the green mussels stir fried and dished up with spicy veggie bits. There were six on the plate. I had to move quickly to get two of them. What a treat! I could make a meal of a plate of six of these. Next, I went for B3, the code for grilled chicken and veggies over vermicelli noodles with chili sauce. I like my food spicy. After the mussels, my hopes were up. Well, B3 was a very tasty dish. I would order it again anytime. Fresh, fresh, fresh. But pretty mild in the spice category. The chicken was nicely spiced, and there were red flakes in the vermicelli noodles, but not nearly enough of them. I tried my daughter's pork and vermicelli and thought it a bit better. We finished the meal with sicky rice & mango. The menu offers only sticky rice and banana, which is itself a very nice dessert, but our server mentioned that we could have mango instead for slightly higher charge. Since sticky rice with mango in coconut sauce is one of the five greatest desserts in the world, I went for it with gusto. This dish was the only slight stumble in the meal. I thought the rice was a bit underdone and the sauce not too thrilling. Not bad, but not at the standard set by the other dishes. I look forward to returning soon to try the pho. The service was very good, very friendly, and very helpful. I recommend sitting near the front of the restaurant and away from the service area where the staff conduct loud conversations among themselves. The interior of the restaurant is very nicely decorated and lighted. I was very comfortable eating at this fine restaurant.

I did go for lunch on a weekday though Vermicelli with grilled pork and shrimp: 5/5. We stopped by early this Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised that they have expanded the menu from mainly banh mi. The now have Pho and rice noodle dishes. B5 combo is a solid can't go wrong choice. All the protein was cooked well and seasoned nicely. Egg roll was good. Fish sauce is going to be the grey area because thats always personal preference, it was good, but would say more on the fishy side, which my fiance liked. Im used to my moms sauce which is more on the sweeter side. I also got an Vietnamese iced coffee and I will say it is probably the best Vietnamese ice coffee that I've had in thr ABQ area. Its was strong and nice and smooth. It wasn't too sweet. The reason why I say this is the best iced Vietnamese cofee I've had in ABQ is because other places, the Vietnamese coffee is bitter or its not balanced enough with flavor. At over $8 for a cup, it's pricey but if i need a Vietnamese coffee fix, this will be a good to spot. I will say they keep it really clean in there and the white esthetic was pleasing on this sunny Sunday while we were eating in there.

Typically I'd get a bowl of Pho but the temperature was about 100 so no Pho. I opted to try the Noodle Salad bowl w raw veggies and assorted cooked meats on top. (See pic) It was a good choice but it took longer to get that I expected. The desserts looked very tempting but I didn't have enough time so I'll try them on my next visit. (See pic) They had a big selection of Vietnamese cold fruit drinks and coffee drinks. Again, I'll be going back to try some. (See pic) The nice thing was that half the dining room had Vietnamese customers which I consider a good sign for authenticity. The place was very clean and attractive. The staff were extremely polite. My Noodle Salad Bowl came in a big paper bowl w a lid so I was able to eat half and take the rest home easily. (See pic.) It was okay but I wasn't crazy about it. I'll try a sandwich next time.

I called to place an order through "Bamboo by Kulantro" with a very friendly staff member. He was just as friendly when I picked up my takeout on November 25, 2025. My "takeaway" entree was the Bamboo Bowl ($18.12 with a card). It entailed "vermicelli noodles, spring mix, crispy garnish, peanuts, house sauce, crispy egg roll cut up into pieces, two grilled shrimp, and my choice of protein: grilled beef. While there was an enormous amount of vermicelli noodles which I could not finish, the rest of the entree had great portions of the rest. My dog even enjoyed much of the beef I offered her. (I washed the spice off.) If you have gluten, peanut allergy, vegan preferences, etc. - those requests can be honored. Inside, the restaurant was no frills, but a mostly quiet, clean environment. It seemed nice. Recommended for a healthy, quality meal with friendly service!
