This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Albuquerque! The food is consistently excellent and the service is fantastic. I have never seen such teamwork to be served, ice tea refilled and keep things moving. The servers work as a team! I feel good when I leave because the food is delicious and fulfilling. I've had their Won Ton Soup, which is very reasonably priced. But mostly I go for their noodle bowls, which are excellent. I get a combo beef and eggroll--delicious. I also recommend their chicken spring rolls, which are unique and tasty. Otherwise, their selection of spring rolls are a bit limited. I think Viet Taste serves the best iced tea in Albuquerque. It's really good! The food and service have been consistent over several visits. I feel good when I finish my meal! read more

I don't want to yuck your yum if you like this place. The food is safe but flavorless and has little resemblance to the nominal dish you are ordering. No attempt at Vietnamese authenticity; instead, corners are cut with cheaper or maybe less challenging (for American palates) ingredients. Truly not great. I've experienced this before in Europe, where some ingredients aren't available locally or they are afraid to insult local tastes. But Albuquerque has a significant Vietnamese population, great local supply of everything. There are so many good Vietnamese restaurants in Albuquerque, but this is not one of them. If you want dumbed down, flavorless food that won't challenge you, this is it. It is clean and pleasant here. read more

I was there a couple of years ago and found that in most dishes, vegetables are pretty scarce or non-existent. I never went back.

Might return to try the entrees, but definitely won't reorder the spring rolls. Goi con is my go-to carryout snack. These didn't deliver the satisfying freshness I expect. $4.25 gets you two, but the peanut sauce is more liquid than peanut, and the lettuce is more yellow than green. Womp womp. read more

Had a delicious lunch with a girlfriend at Viet Taste. We both had crispy egg noodle stir fried combination that consisted of pork, shrimp, chicken, crab meat, vegetables and crispy noodles. It was delicious! We split a grilled chicken sandwich which they cut iin half for us. It was really good. The ambience is casual and not too loud. Our server Laura was great! The ambiance is calm and relaxed. My server Brian was attentive, kind, and focused. I mentioned I liked cilantro and he brought out extra for me. The food was warm. The broth was delicious and refreshing to eat. The rare beef paired well with the hoisin. I believe everything by came at a reasonable price of 11.50 for the pho. Wanted to love this place. It was very busy which usually indicates that a place is worth the wait. I placed my online order at 5:15 pm. Drove over and finally received the order at 6:25. Ugh. It was very stuffy inside. People were seated, received their food, ate and left while I was waiting for my to go order. Yikes! Got home and they didn't put any chopsticks in the bag. I popped in with a friend for a light snack. We ordered a couple appetizers which ended up being plenty to share and perfect. There were some beef wraps in grape leaf that were so tasty and filling. I was recommended Viet Taste when I asked for a good pho spot in Albuquerque. If 3 people were telling me about this place, I knew I had to come and give it a try and I'm so glad I did! Once I seen the menu, my stomach was craving so many things. I eventually decided on the #35 udon noodles with a Thai tea The udon noodles definitely hit the spot on that cold rainy day. The broth had so much flavor and it was exactly what I was looking for. Thai tea wasn't my favorite I order the combination fried rice and wonton soup to go. On our cross-country road trip, I started craving for comfort food and found Viet Taste on Yelp! I wasn't sure how good the pho was going to be in Albuquerque so I came in with low expectations. It was pretty late and the restaurants had several tables filled. The interior was nicely decorated and clean. We were immediately seated and ordered shortly after. My partner ordered spring rolls and a rare steak and meatball pho. I opted for a banh canh - something our server recommended. The banh canh soup was flavorful - much more than the pho broth. As for the spring rolls, they were more noodles and veggies than meat. The spring rolls could have been a lot better. Overall, a decent Vietnamese restaurant that satisfied my craving. read more

So about a year ago I was in search for Chinese cuisine in town but everyone I tried failed to meet my expectations. My friends recommended that I tried Vietnamese food and I found this Vietnamese cuisine. I definitely love this place since the menu is extensive and have many options from spring rolls, pho, and entrees. They have coke products and coconut water which is my favorite one. Plates are descent size for the prices you pay. Staff is for the most part friendly, it's a 50/50 at most. The restaurant is descent size. Definitely had become comfort food for my family. I feel like the pho quality has gone downhill over the past few years. It's still decent, but nowhere near what it used to be. Servicer was really rude and didn't let us finish our sentences. I will say they do have a clean and welcoming environment. I would try Pho Linh instead. read more

Love the food sometimes the egg drop soup is a little off so it is a hit or miss. However the atmosphere is nice the restaurant is not the biggest but there has been enough room every time we have gone. Staff is always nice but when it gets busy they can tend to forget that you are still there. Especially if you are sitting in one of the corner tables. Looking for a nice neighborhood Vietnamese spot? This is it. I have yet to eat one bad dish. Having said that, they know their food is good and therefore do not have the best customer service. If your looking for quality carryout I say look elsewhere. They are not friendly and I am absolutely convinced the soy sauce that you will ask for is going for the price of gas. They always give just one packet even if you ask for extra. It's odd and not cool. Viet Taste has become one of Albuquerque's best Vietnamese restaurants. The food is consistently good! Their noodle bowls are the best. I prefer the pork and egg roll bowl, but all the grilled meats are delicious. Rice dishes are solid as well. I like good fried rice, and Viet Taste has it. The broken rice dishes are excellent and spicy lemongrass is very tasty! The pho is solid. The broth is rich and flavorful while the meats are cooked properly. Pho is just fun to eat. I love getting to add bean sprouts, limes, and spices to my heart's content to get the flavor I desire. There are lots of good spots for pho in Albuquerque, but Viet Taste is really consistent. I am kind of shocked to see that I haven't already make a review of one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in town! I love to come to this place for noods and any of their rice dishes, or of course the pho. I always recommend it to friends and family. You can't go wrong at Viet Taste! Their service is always friendly and attentive. Their food is similar in it always comes out fast and fresh! If you have time to stay and chill, you are all good. If you are in a crunch on your lunch hour they will get you fed and on your way! I like the stir fried rice noodle dishes which you can get with shrimp, or even a combination with chicken, pork and beef. It's not on the menu, but I always order mine with tofu. If you haven't been, you should. The prices are very reasonable and the portions don't leave you feeling jipped, not to mention the food is fresh and tastes great! We had our eyes on food-truck noodles, but it became clear that this was too popular an event for us to get fed in time to also make it to the museum, we needed another place to get lunch. We were still in the mood for noodles and found Viet Taste. My wife ordered Egg Noodles Stir-Fried with Tofu and I ordered Egg Noodles with Special Beef Stew. What I didn't realize, maybe because I'm not very experienced with Vietnamese cuisine, is that the stew would be more like soup. We were in the car, so this wasn't going to be easy to eat. Luckily, my wife's portion was big enough for the both of us, and I took the beef stew home for dinner. Both dishes were well prepared. Delicious and cooked perfectly. I know inflation is bad but tofu is like $2 a container. All 3 entrees (beef, chicken, tofu) had very small amount of protein but waaaaay too much rice/noodles. The taste was just ok.
