Good service and fresh tasting food. As we walked in we were told we could seat ourselves which was nice of them to offer and quickly got us menus and our drink orders. We also started with a couple of appetizers. We shared the edamame and egg rolls. The egg rolls were quite filling and the edamame was perfect to snack on throughout the meal. I also had the honeydew boba which was delicious and ordered the rare steak with brisket pho (Pho Tai Chin) as my entree. The pho was perfect size for me not too large where I couldn't finish but also not too small where I was left hungry. The broth had good flavor and the side of garnish was also just right for us to share. For those with bigger appetites I would suggest to get an appetizer or add more protein to the pho since typically there is not a lot of protein in these types of noodle soup bowls. Came across Mr. Pho while checking out the Asian store next to it. It's small and quaint, welcoming ambiance. Service was good. We ordered a Pho, a rice dish with meat, and a Bahn-mi sandwich. My sister and I ended up here, by chance. We were going to go to a different location, but it was closed. She remembered this location, so we gave it a try. It was decorated with some Christmas lights, which was cute. There are wood and modern industrial elements to the decor. There are some two tops along the wall, larger tables in the center. I used the restroom. I was surprised to see the beautiful tiles on the wall behind the sink/toilet. Both my sister and I ordered the #2 pho. It came with slices of rare beef. The broth was super flavorful, but maybe not as clear as I'd like. (the broth was likely boiled and not simmered.) Noodles were fresh. You could tell they hadn't been sitting around. We split a shrimp spring roll. It was good, but the sauce needed something, so we added some sambal. Service was great. Prices are a little high for what it is. First timers to this cozy little spot. From the outside, it just seemed like a standard business front, but as you walked inside, it was very charming and right away made you feel at home. My sister and I both had appetizers, my sister the egg rolls, and I the pot stickers, simply "Yum!" We both had the Pho for our main lunch entrees, my sister the rare steak & brisket, and I the shrimp, for what we concluded was "very satisfyingly tasty" (the broth itself, very flavorful and delicious!). They are quick with drink refills, they pick up tables right after people leave. This place is clean on the inside and had a cool atmosphere. This was our first time visiting this establishment and possible not returning anytime soon. The establishment is a descent size and indoor is very cozy and dim light type of setting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was descent in flavor but falls short in the basic flavoring the springs rolls ( mind you only had 2 small pieces of meat) and for the egg roll that was drenched in oil. We are fans of Vietnamese food having eaten the best in Santa Ana, LA and SF. Mr Pho had solid reviews and we know why. We were immediately seated. Service was friendly, restaurant was clean and welcoming, menu had a lot of choices. We chose Pho Ga (chicken), Pho with rare beef and brisket and shrimp print rolls. Soup portions were perfect if hungry for 1 or if sharing appetizers you could share a bowl of soup. The flavor of the broth was delicious, sour and sweet. The meat for both was ample. Ww decided to try Mr Pho today based in reviews. We were one of the first to get seated. The dining room had a nice ambiance and it was pretty clean. So we started looking at our menus and decided to give the pho a try . I had a #2 (rare steak) #5(steak and flank) and then we also ordered a #14(combination bowl). We also ordered some appetizers of egg rolls and spring rolls. Now the verdict.. the egg rolls were just okay. It was very oily and the inside was cold. The spring rolls actually had no taste. I had to smother it the peanut sauce for flavor. Now the pho was flavorful and we were able to season it to our liking. The basil, cilantro, bean sprouts and jalapeño were brought out on one dish and we did have to request more. The bowl was smaller and had less meat than we expected but we were wanting to try the pho so basically that was what we went for. Overall I gave them a 3 out of 5 because of the appetizers and portion sizes. read more

I have to say that I am a big fan of pho. Very just something wonderfully magical about a steaming vowl of noodles and meat topped with the various accompaniments. It is a dish to be happily slurped up. Pho has certainly grown more popular and the last decade. I live in Orlando, Florida and I have to say that we have some of the best pho I have had in this country, but Mr. Pho brings this wonderful Vietnamese dish to Albuquerque New Mexico and does an incredible job of making it a great culinary gift to this community. I would also recommend getting some of the spring rolls. After you had it spring roll, the more common Chinese egg roll will never be viewed exactly the same. The interior is nothing fancy, but it is clean and welcoming. I have never thought of Vietnamese food in a fancy environment, some of the best meals I have had have been in very playing surroundings.
