The Cajun Shrimp Platter (5/5) was very good. I got the lowest spicy level and it had a little kick to it. The shrimp was tasty and comes with rice, corn, and 2 potatoes. The flavor is similar to what you'd get at Boiling Crab/Kicking Crab. The plate was big enough to share or saved for another meal. The Cajun shrimps had shells on, though they do have a peeled shrimp version with garlic butter. Wish they have that option for the Cajun shrimp too. The anti-gravity noodles were only okay. It's about $12 for the noodles and sausage option or $15 for the noodles and shrimp option. The noodles reminded me of instant noodles but 10x saltier than what I was expecting. They didn't put a lot of sauce on it and I found it to be slightly oily on the bottom of my bowl. My friend's bowl had an oily surprise at the bottom, so I recommend mixing your noodles to make sure you get all of the mixture coated on your noodles. The anti-gravity presentation was cute, but they placed my noodles right at the area where I hold my chopsticks, so I wasn't able to use my pair (unless I wanted garlicy noodles all over my hands, which I didn't). They put a good amount of sliced sausages in my bowl. They even had a nice spicy kick to them. The amount of noodles you get isn't much because of the base to make the noodles look like they were floating, but the overall portion size is plenty for one person. read more

I've been to the Anaheim Packing District before but never tried 206 BCE Noodles before. Everyone had raves about the antigravity noodles so I had to try them. The service was good at the front register. For those who are new to the Packing District, most of the options there are self-serve. The noodles were flavorful but I wasn't blown away by the experience. It was cool to see the presentation - there is a straw attached to a block of daikon that holds the noodles up and gives the antigravity look. The portion was a bit small for a $17 bowl of noodles. I understand that things are always a bit pricier because of the ambiance and location but I felt I've gotten a better value for other locations I've eat at within the Anaheim Packing District. read more

Do not even try and eat here if you have ANY kind of food allergy. They do not know about cross contamination & food safety when it comes to food allergies. The second I read "Anti-gravity noodles" on the 206 BCE menu, I was all in! Recently, in the deep vortex of surfing through related videos, I came across one where a young chef showed how to make these noodles (basically it's a tedious process of pouring sizzling hot oil over and over on these noodles, while holding them up with chopsticks, until they are firm enough to hold their shape). Since that video, I've been dying to try these myself, so it was wonderful luck to find these here. Decor: From the basket style light shades and colorful lanterns to the wood "street cart" snack shop, this restaurant makes you feel like you are in the heart of Southeast Asia. Their snack shop section displays a collection of harder-to-find Asian snacks and drinks, which range from popular Thai style chips to differing Japanese sodas. Also, there's an arch of colorful lanterns over a bench near the left side of the front register desk that serves as a wonderful photo op area. There's not much seating in the actual shop, there's a little standing island in the center where one could sit and eat, otherwise, you'll have to find arrangements elsewhere. From what I could see, 206 BCE has a much more modern, Cajun x Asian fusion approach with their culinary dishes. From a massive Cajun shrimp platter to beef pho, there are plenty of choices to choose from. Food: Anti-Gravity Sausage Noodles (4/5) - This magical looking noodles will run you about $12, which isn't too bad considering the quality of food you get. This bowl of noodles is comprised of slightly fried, crisped up egg noodles coated by a buttery, garlic sauce and topped by Cajun sausage slices (they also provide a couple of lime wedges). The sausages add some fantastic salty, porky flavors which is boosted by the slight aromatics and heat from its Cajun spices. It harmonizes perfectly with the garlicky noodles and citrusy bite from the limes. On top of all that, it is very entertaining to look at these "hovering" chopsticks that seem to defy gravity by holding up these tasty noodles all on its own. I was instantly intrigued, I love noodles and the fun that is the anti-gravity noodles. He and I both chose to order from here, I picked the sausage and shrimp anti-gravity noodles. We were given a buzzer and I think within 10-15 minutes our food was ready. Please note that this place does get really packed and because it had been so hot a lot of people are eating inside. Thankfully a group of people were leaving so we got a really roomy table, we had ordered from other vendors. These noodles are incredible, so much flavor, with just the right amount of spice. The sausage was tasty but I really loved how big and juicy the shrimp was. I wish there were a location in San Diego, these were way too good and I have been craving it so much! read more

Again, I repeat, do not get their pho here!!! Waste of $!! And you will be hungry again after. 14 x 4.. that's a wasteful amount of $ to support "local business" but I wouldn't recommend this place. I was pretty unimpressed with these noods.They're priced at $16, which I assume is up-charged due to the gimmick of them serving "floating" noodles. The noodles are held up with a boba straw attached to a piece of daikon and It took about 15-20 min for me to receive my order. The noodles are served dry with green onions, garlic chili oil and deep fried shrimp and sausage. I've had this dish before and am certain they lowered the quality of the shrimp, as they were much smaller and less satisfying than what they were before. The sausage was okay, it was dry. Overall, the dish is purely all aesthetics. If you look pass those aesthetics, you get a pretty average bland egg noodle dish. read more

I got their cajun shrimp platter (mid level spicy) and let me tell you, this huge tray was a show stopper from the moment we picked it up to our walk to our table. People were literally stopping us to ask where it's from and I couldn't blame them. First of all, I love that this "personal" size is HUGE that it can feed off two or more people. It's a more affordable option than other shrimp places that sell these by pounds. The mid level spicy was too spicy for me unfortunately but the flavors were still good, nonetheless. I LOVE coming here when I'm at the Packing District! They are known for their anti-gravity noodles but I come for their Cajun Shrimp Platter in mild. Worth a great price and can feed 2 people!! So much more worth than buying a $20 seafood boil and having to pay more for add-ons, but with the shrimp platter it comes with unpeeled shrimp, 2 potatoes, corn, AND RICE all for $20!! When there's a gimmick, you know something is usually up. Nothing caught our eye tonight at Anaheim Packing District, so we ordered the house anti-gravity noodles. No spoilers, but the chopsticks are just wedged in some straws in a radish.. LOL. We did get our picture though! Like other reviews say, definitely mix well, as our bowl had a pile of chili flakes in the corner. The noodles are okay as long as you mix them. The real winner is the SHRIMP. I just wish there were more than 4 in a bowl. Next time, I'd probably pass on the noodles but consider a shrimp plate :-) read more

I loved the taste and texture of their noodles which had a nice kick, and the shrimp was super flavorful as well. The shrimp platter was also a hit, since anything cooked in garlic butter is a must for me! Overall the food here is good but there is room for improvement. Ordered the anti-gravity house noodles which comes with shrimp and cajun sausage, which was pretty good. The cost of the house noodles w/ tax is around $17 and honestly if you're looking for a unique picture for your foodie Instagram page or your Yelp page, then it may be worth paying for. Now if you're care more about getting your money's worth of food, then I'd say pass on this. They add this huge chunk of raw radish, smack in the middle of the bowl with half a boba straw wedged in between the radish, in order to hold the chopsticks to create the "anti-gravity" effect. Due to the giant piece of radish, it takes up most of the bowl space so not only is it uncomfortable to eat the noodles, you technically get less noodles. Unfortunately the noodles cool down super fast, so by the time I took a bite, the noodles were already clumped up together and was barely warm. Despite this, the noodles were still very flavorful and the shrimp was absolutely delicious. Definitely order the shrimp bowl one rather than the ones with the sausages because the sausages are a tad bit salty. I'd say the anti-gravity noodles are more so, a try it at least once type of thing, but not something you'd want to get a second time. One way I think would improve the overall flavor and balance out the saltiness would be to add a fried egg or a soft boiled egg. read more
