I came to check out this gym because I go to Eos fitness in Palm Desert and Indio and wanted to check out a new gym. I paid $30 for a 3 day pass. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I never got a tour so once I got I to the gym I was shocked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I took a couple photos because I was repulsed on how dirty the gym was. There were paper towel dispensers around the gym all empty. There were also multiple machines broken down for repair. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was no managers just 1 front desk working on a Tuesday 4/22.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I feel bad for the staff here obviously working with no budget for staffing and no cleaning crew. After a few exercises I had to leave because I was worried I would get sick in a facility like this. I will be staying at Eos Fitness and glad to see those locations keep cleanliness and building maintenance top quality. Also Eos Fitness is 24 hours unlike this location. read more

The gym by itself is great, especially with a basketball court which is one of the things I was looking for a gym. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went to their website and got a 3 day free pass, which I didn't use cause when we got to the front desk of the gym and gave our ID that when I found out it only works for local resident, which is weird cause we also want to know if the gym will be a fit to us cause we will be moving at Indio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now the bad part is their day pass price is crazy!! $25 just for a day pass, that is like almost a month of membership from other gym. While visiting the desert I decided to check out their class schedule during the holiday weekend since I am a 24 member and found a 9am Body Pump taught by Cristina, which was a really good class and although not packed for a Fri morning holiday weekend, it was full enough and she was really good. As for the gym itself, it looks really big on the outside but upon entering it is just one big open flat square (don't understand why the high ceiling as if it is two to three stories high). I did not use the locker rooms; however, I did the restrooms and they were pretty filthy. The rest of the gym seemed to be somewhat clean. I was in this gym for 2 and a half years and was so happy EOS in La Quinta happen because this Gym is bad not wack but bad.

We've joined three weeks ago. It would be a nice gym if it was clean. The front doors have the same smudges from lotion or something and fingerprints since we enrolled. Every machine is full of dust. We used to have a membership at Planet Fitness but we moved to North Indio so we switched our membership to here. Hopefully Planet Fitness will come to This area and we'll switch again. I've been going to this gym since July. They must have an incredibly small maintenance budget because machines are always broken, the place is very dirty and the drinking water is always like warm. I don't pay very much so my expectations have remained low. Recently they've been out of the cleaning solution to wipe down the machines. This place is the only 24 hour fitness in the area and I was surprised about that since the area has so much real estate to developed. So with that said, you know this place was freaking crowded. Like there was a person on every machine just sweating away, but when you have goals you have to do what you have to do. The equipment looked somewhat new and cleaned, though which I appreciate. Don't trust there free 3 day trial. They don't honor it! They get you in the door with that and then request you buy a pass.

Have been here a few times int the last couple of months. Gym appears to look nice and clean as was the locker room and shower areas. All the gym equipment was in working order. One of my trips they had a section roped off for cleaning and maintenance not sure why this wasn't done off hours but hey they at least serving them. Smaller gym that tends to get packed at peak hours but other then that it's pretty well stocked and maintained. read more

I've been working out here since October of 2009 and this gym has always been great. That being said this last year the gym has really gone downhill. Multiple machines broken and not fixed. Overall cleanliness has taken a hit also. It's 24 hour fitness but hasn't been open 24 hours since pre-covid. Just want to get the feeling that management cares! Waiting for EOS to open. read more

Next step was to select '1' goal from 3 categories, it then went to another page ... I left. Making moves out front. Your first goal should be allowing access to movement. read more

Been a member for a few years the gym is not the same anymore and has gone downhill quick I blame it on the franchise owners a lot of the machines are broken and have not been repaired the restrooms are a mess I'm not renewing my contract after this year with the new eos fitness that open up why pay 30 bucks a month or 300 for the year when you can pay 10 bucks for newer and better equipment [[HIGHLIGHT]]the employees are nice for the most part but most of them don't care about the place and I can't blame them I believe there getting minimum wage[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the gym look also looks a lot more emptier so that's a good thing I'm guessing the new gym has started to take their business I predict the gym will be closed when it's time to renew the lease they simply won't be able to compete in the market. read more

This is it for 24 Hour Fitness gyms in the area (used to be more years ago). This was my gym when we maintained a condo and lived part time in Palm Desert, and remains my go to gym when visiting the area. It is not a high end gym, and may get a little crowded during peak hours, but has all the equipment you need for most any workout. When I check out a gym I look for a variety of things, including a decline free weight bench, a seated freemotion (cables) chest machine, Dynamax medicine balls, Airex foam balance pad (for doing shoulder dumbbell exercises with one knee on the pad), bosu balance trainer, hex trap bar for squats, a prowler/dragging sled, TRX straps, and a cable crossover machine where the arms may be adjusted across a full 180 degrees both vertically and horizontally. I like to see free weight dumbbells in 2.5 lb increments at the low end, for example, 20 lbs, 22.5, 25, 27.5, 30, 32.5, 35, 37.5, 40 etc., also a seated cable based chest / pectoral press, and the inner/outer thighs legs scissor movement machine. I like to see both a dry sauna and a steam room, inside each locker room (or at least in the common area, such as in 24 Hour Fitness Super Sports). When a gym has all this, it tends to also have whatever else is needed for a great workout in terms of machines, weights and aerobic machines. :-) At this gym, there is no seated freemotion cable chest machine, didn't notice an Airex foam pad, the Dynamax medicine balls are either too light or too heavy and none is marked for weight, but otherwise everything is there. They even have a small area in the center for pushing a prowler type wheeled sled across the turf. It appears that their aerobics equipment, especially their recumbent bikes, could use upgrades. The pool, sauna and steam room are community so you must wear a bathing suit. Ever since 24 Hour Fitness abandoned towel service using their steam or sauna is a chore because if you're getting it really hot in there by splashing water on the thermostat, you'll need more than a few towels for the sauna/steam, shower and cool off process. Bring your own towel for the workout itself on the floor, to sit on and to wipe off equipment after use - this rule should be enforced better. One thing interesting is that lately I have noticed a Korean outside trainer training a group of Koreans, and I thought 24 Hour Fitness didn't allow outside trainers. There are more than a few official 24 Hour Fitness trainers on the floor at all times, so these personal training sessions must be popular. I used to visit EOS Fitness when coming in from out of town (I am an EOS member in Encinitas), but at least the EOS Palm Springs location is visitor unfriendly, so I just stick with 24 Hour Fitness, where I have maintained an Ultra Sport nationwide membership for years. 24 Hour Fitness always gets the workout done. read more

Ok let's just level here and clarify this is a 24 hour fitness so it's not posh. That said it's super clean and ENORMOUS. They have a million cardio machines and the weights area is even better- huge! It's quite busy and popular might be one of the biggest gyms I have been to ever before honeslty. Great variety of bi-lateral equipment and staff does a good job maintaining the workout areas. I also love the new treadmill option. Not having to adjust numbers and such make any run a good on. The TRX area is awesome and basketball courts are a nice plus. My son loves the kids club staff and room. One of the deserts Best. Overall very pleased with gym. read more

This gym could be a really nice gym. Unfortunately the management sucks! Marines are always broke down and need maintenance. The sauna has been broken for a month. The manager said it was a part they were waiting for and offered no time frame for the repair. How hard is it to overnight a part? I will be leaving to EOS. I have been a member since 2017.
