I have eaten in some very fine establishments all over the world, but I have to say this one was not one of the top 5or even the top 20! The food was over priced for the portion sizes, flavor was lacking and I won't start on the service. I have never been to a restaurant that didn't bring out a bread basket with the soup and salad! We were told that we had to request bread! Huh? The ribs were dry and only came with three fried shrimp. The steak was okay but came only warm, not hot. Will never go back to 2510. Went there for a special occasion, that happened to be on a Saturday night, 2510's Prime Rib special night. Sadly, there was nothing special about the Prime Rib or 2510. Our table ordered 3 Prime Ribs, all were delivered cold. They tried to warm the dinners in the microwave, not good. We were all very disappointed in the food, and the service. Stopped here for lunch with my sis and BIL yesterday. We arrived after 1 PM, so pretty quiet when we walked in. The dining area is nice and the patio seating looked good as well. Quite a few things to choose from on the menu, although they were out of the chicken pot pie and it was a 10 minute wait for more. My sis and BIL ordered their lunch and I was next, but it was many minutes before someone took my order. It seems like one person takes an order, rings it up and then goes to make it...seems like it would be a better system if one person was just taking orders and one or two others were making the stuff. I had an egg salad sandwich, which was large on very good wheat bread; by the time my food arrived, the others were already finished. I wanted to buy a couple of things out of the bakery case, but I was ignored while others were waited on, so left without any goodies. We had a two hour wait when we were told it would be a half an hour. It took forever to get waters and to put our order in. Orders were wrong. Our waitress wouldn't split our bill. Ok so you probably want to hear about the restaurant here's one word disgusting carpets are like a sponge, food might be cooked the way you want, most of the people are mean not good for a date. But their is a bright side the deil and bakery. Bakery is yummy! Best bakery in town, there's your regular treats but theirs always special treats that are awesome. The deil has hot meals that are good on freezing Wisconsin days. One time I ordered a chicken pot pie and this crazy girl kept asking me if it was snowing I said no but she kept asking for 5 minutes then finally I asked this other girl who gave me the pot pie. Great little family restaurant right off the highway in Wausau. The main reason we stop whenever we are in the area is the fried cheese curds. They are beer battered fresh cheese curds with a homemade ranch dressing that is just amazing. If you stop, be sure to get the cheese curds! read more

Went for an anniversary dinner and very disappointed in the food quality. Very bland. One person with our party ordered a steak medium and it came back well, well done. By the time the steak was brought back to the table prepared correctly the rest of her meal was gone. About the only thing that's always good there is the cheese curds, other than that they better step up their game because there's bigger and better coming to this area. I only had the cheese curds from here, and they were amazing! Made my night! I passed by the bakery and was very tempted by delicious looking treats, but I stuck with my unhealthy cheese curds. My fiancé and I went out for Valentines Day on sat. and we had a wonderful time. We were seated right away. Our waiter couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. We ordered cheese curds which are to die for. Our food came in a timely manner. Our drinks were filled when needed also. The food was exceptional. Sigh. Ordered the famous 2510 Celebration cake for my parents 60th anniversary and it's the UGLIEST cake I've ever seen. No time to have them redo it so had no choice but to accept the amateur miss-matched disaster with brown flowers bleeding into the butter creme frosting. Asked for peach flowers with other fall colors. Received peach, purple & brown flowers with light blue writing. Obviously this decorator needs remedial training & a color wheel. Their cakes taste good, but I don't recommend them if you are truly celebrating a milestone family event. Live and learn... read more

2510 has a nice atmosphere, however, don't bring your teenage sons here-- the portions are very small. Maybe that's the reason for the high gross rating? read more

We have been here twice since coming to this area. The service is very friendly and on top of it. The homemade cheese curds are fabulous. Also, all their homemade bread products are great. Other than that, food is pretty average. Haven't tried the deli yet, so maybe that is better. read more

We frequent 2510 often and the atmosphere is always above par with friendliness! From the awesome cheese curds to the French onion soup, our meals have always been tasty. The wine is always served with grapes, giving it a great look! Nothing can compare to the excellent desserts that are offered. Birthdays and anniversaries are great with percentages off the entrée. Of course the best is a piece of carrot cake or celebration cake for dessert. Looking forward to my next meal at 2510! read more

sat out on their newly built outside patio for a fish fry and we were glad we did. Perfect setting with a huge canopy bar type round table and many other tables to relax at. nice breeze to go along with our Mai Tai and Mojito...only $2.99 in a pint glass! They had a young kid out playing a saxophone which was also a nice touch to the evening. Our family has been coming here since I was little. It was always a treat, going our to eat at a fancy restaurant with amazing food. The last few times we have been there though, I have been less than impressed. We arrived last this week with a group of 9 for my mothers birthday. They seated us promptly (we called ahead), and the waitress started out with out drink orders. Everything was going fine until she brought our drinks and set the glasses right in front of my 18 month old. Not the best idea, but maybe she doesn't have a lot of experience with kids and didn't realize disaster almost ensued. We ordered our appetizers and dinner right away. The cheese curds and onion frills came out hot and delicious only a fee minutes after we ordered them. The ranch dressing is the best I have ever had. I love it, always will. The real problem with my dining experience is that after our appetizers came, it took A FULL HOUR to get our food. My salmon and baked potato were such small portions that the plate looked empty. And that didn't matter anyways because the wait was so long my daughter was tired, hungry and crying so I had to box my meal up and leave right after the food arrived. To sum this review up, I am a patient person and can understand having hot meals all at once for 8 people can take a little while. But to wait a full hour for less than mediocre food is not worth it to me. If only 2510 was the way it used to be in my memories. read more

They have the best deep fried mushrooms, they cover them with cheese and it's awesome! That being said the first time I ever went there we had great service but the most recent encounter was not very good. I had ordered the shrimp and when it came out there was a hair embedded into the breading. Yuck! I understand things like that happen so I very calmly set it aside on a different plate. The waitress came by and I told her about the hair, her reaction was "oh" follwed by "can we get you started on your next course? " It was as if nothing was wrong. I didn't get offered a new plate of food or anything. I thought since I made no fit that she might take a portion off our bill or at least throw in dessert...nothing. Really disappointed with the customer service and personallly I'd spend your money elsewhere and not have a side of hair with the meal. read more

A great place to take the grandparents. This used to be a favorite in the Wausau area in the 80's and maintains that same overall feel and dated menu. I would not recommend a visit to the restaurant unless Grandma wants to go. The deli is ok, but most of the food is from food service companies with very little "real" food. read more

Terrible service and food. I got the chicken dumpling soup which was practically all grease. The broasted chicken was ok but the corn was just reheated frozen corn. Really terrible experience. Service was sparse, I had to track down the waiter several times to get a refill and she never came by to make sure the food was to our liking. What a fabulous find! We are from Southwest WI and we were on a "leaf looking" expedition. I found "2510" on the Wausau website. Our server was absolutely fabulous. He even packaged my leftover Reuben Mac N Cheese (which was to die for) in ice as we had a 4 hr drive home. It also was a birthday trip for me. I received a free Celebration piece of cake as well as a spin on their wheel for half off an entree on my next visit. Service was a little on the slower side but our Server and the food made up for it. read more

I try to place what one would call the decor- I guess supper club style is the closest I can think of. The general menu and ambiance of the place suggests that the market demographic this place caters to is primarily senior citizens. drinks are slightly over priced, The celebration cake is excellent, as well as the cheese curds. Quite fond of many of the sandwich selections. The tables, chairs and booths need a little maintenance or flat out replacement, and the bar area is much too small for Wisconsin. read more

So just because you aren't eatting at the restaurant doesn't mean you want sloppy food. I had primb rib and online it stated 19.99 and I ordered cheese curds so my bill was like 38 something just about feel over then I told them about online price they corrected it but they where going to give me a king cut but I ordered a queens so then i had to wait for them to fix it but in the mean time my cheese curds sat there and got cold. When I finally got to sit down to my meal I know primb rib is to melt in you mouth and mine didn't. It was tough. The food is great. I ordered cedar plank salmon and a side salad. Absolutely loved it. The salmon had great flavor. The service was excellent. We had to wait at the bar to be seated, but didn't mind at all because the place was packed and the bar is gorgeous. read more

Never going back ever again!! On June 11th 2016 we had a reservation at 5:00 for 12 people. We were seated a 5:10 and drink orders taken at 5:15. The waitress come out at about 5:30 and said "sorry that our drinks were taking so long we have a new bartender." So at that time she took our food order. At 5:50 or waitress come out with our drink. Now she had a different excuse to why our drinks took so long. She now says that the bartender never showed up for work so we had to pull one of the cooks who is also a bartender. She did state that the drinks were on then due to the wait. At 6:00 our dinner rolls, soup, and salads came out. At this time we told the waitress that we have a commitment across town at 7:00 and we need or food no later then 6:20. She said there should be no problem with that. At 6:20 a person from our group got up to find out what was taking so long and take to the manager. She found the manager at the bar sitting talking to the bartender. She asked the manager if she could have a word with him. When explaining what was going on all the manager had to say was he was so sorry and that was it. He did not seem to concerned. Finally at 6:35 our food came out. We then had to tell the waitress that we will now need TOGO container due to now not having enough time to eat. The waitress then started to get really snotty and rude with us. On top of all that half of the peoples orders were wrong. People were missing food on there plates and some had stuff on there plates that did not order. After complaining they gave us our check that were full price they didn't even give us discount for the shitty job they did. When some went up to pay they asked if they could have fries taken off there bills and they were not understanding why they need to do that. They then stated that they were never given any fries with there food. I don't think anyone should have paid for there food that they did not get to eat and enjoy. We didn't make it to our other commitment on time. At 9:30 is when were where able to eat our food in our car on the side of the road with no utensils. What made us so mad is that the place was NOT busy. I REPEAT NOT BUSY at all. We had people seated next to us about an hour after us and they were served, ate, and paid there bill before we ever got our food. I can speak or everyone in our group we are never going back to that place again, and we are not done letting people know how we feel about this place and how bad the serves is. The only person we would like to thank at 2510 was our bus girl she was amazing and friendly. She was the one that was apologizing to us for everything that was happening. read more

While I can only speak for the restaurant part, the deli and bakery looks quite delicious. After going to the restaurant to eat, I wish I had eaten in the deli area instead. So I suppose I would maybe give that a try. The restaurant however, not impressed at all. Sure there are cozy fireplaces to sit near which is nice and all, but the food was blah. As soon as I opened the first page of the menu I was already underwhelmed. They do not have a great variety despite the several pages of "options". Many things are listed over and over again but just in various forms such as a salad or wrap. While you can't really go wrong with a wrap or salad, the rest of the menu doesn't seem or sound fresh or appealing. (Maybe if you're 80 and you like routine or lack of variety...) It took me a while to decide what to eat- not because I was torn between choices, but because there was hardly anything that sounded good to me. I will not be returning to the restaurant. Deli/bakery I would give a chance, but that's about it. Go an extra 10 minutes to downtown Wausau to experience other places with great food and an inviting environment. read more

Waited over 2 hours on a fish fry Friday to get food served. The place had already closed by the time we were served food. Several other tables were seated, served and left while our table had ordered before them and we still hadn't received our food. Once we did get food, everyone's order was wrong or missing several items. They didn't think to tell anyone they were out of items and just assume a substitute would suffice. They had the ac at full blast, so everyone was freezing at the table. We had to go get jackets and we're still freezing. Waited a hour for the manager to come to the table. After a brief few minutes, the manager only took off 20% from the bill. I'm from Las Vegas, the entertainment capital, and here the restaurant would have done everything to either correct the issues or they would have just comp'ed the meal. Not give 20% off the bill and still charge you for food that was not how you ordered it or never received. I will never return to this restaurant and advise any friends and family that visit Wausau, to avoid this place like the plaque. There customer service is horrible and the staff played the blame game, including the manager. read more

This place was recommended to us, so we were really looking forward to a nice meal. But if I had to choose one word to describe it, it would be "disappointing." We stopped in on a Saturday evening. Upon arrival, I had high hopes. It was clean, warm and inviting, and the staff was very friendly. It was kind of a throwback to the supper club era, which I thought was pretty cool. It was the dinner itself that was quite underwhelming. We began our meal with deep fried cheese curds. They were VERY lightly cooked, to the point where the cheese inside was only partially melted. They arrived at our table warm, but not hot. Our meals were mediocre. Nothing spectacular, and nothing that we'd go back for. Especially considering that all of our meals were served warm, but not hot. A couple of us in our party of four had French fries. And as most people do, we expected them to be hot and crispy. They were warm and just barely crispy. The flavor was good, though, I'll give them that. Based on our experience, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back there, based solely on their food. But if their food was as good as the atmosphere and their staff, they'd have a gold mine. read more

we were greeted right away at the door and took to our table with in a few minutes..the waitress suggested that we try the cheese curds which we did and loved them,best i've ever had anywhere! i had the filet and added mushroom sauce on the top,the french onion soup was warm and bubbly and tried the sweet potato fries which were pretty good as well, dipped them in the green ranch.as we walked out the back door we saw the amazing deli and got a couple cupcakes and deli bars !! we will be back for sure! read more

Where do I start. When we arrived at 5:00pm we were told they did not have a table to seat 5 in the front.They walked my 79 year old mother with oxygen to the back of the restaurant, up and down steps, and seated us at a table for 4 with a chair added to the end. Our waitress was new(she told us) so I always give new staff a little leeway. I blame the seating on host staff anyway. Usually cheese curds are hard to ruin but ours came out with so much grease on the bottom they were just a big blob of cheese with very little breading left. Everyone's meal was bland, as if no seasoning was used in preparation,but one of the items ordered off the special summer menu was almost inedible. Mediterranean Tilapia was mushy and no flavor at all served with garlic mashed potatoes that were like wallpaper paste. The hostess that checked us out was not pleasant and walked away to seat guests in the middle of our transaction. She had also said she would compensate the person who ordered the fish for his bad meal. Nope never happened. I will never give this place another dime of my money no matter how old and how big of a discount my relatives get. read more
