The Slammin' Salmon was the bee's knees! I have also tried the Itialian. I got it cold with mayo instead of Italian dressing - so, so good. It may sound strange, but the pickle slice that comes with their sandwiches seems better than most, it has a little zest to it. Their pasta salad is simple, but a great side. For Durango it's pretty good, been waiting a long time for a good sandwich shop. Wish there were a few more choices and the lack of meat on the sandwiches is pretty slim. Every sandwich on the menu is creative, hearty and they offer traditional deli sides to accompany your meal. The cocktails are refreshing and the beer selection is terrific. As for the staff, everyone from the bartenders to the guys in the kitchen greet you with a smile and are quick to offer suggestions or tell you about the daily specials. The Gobbler is delicious and they have a great drink selection. I've found that their hours of operation are kind of weird for being a business downtown though. Tried to go at 7:45 on a Friday night and the doors were locked even though they definitely had customers inside. Also appears that they close at 4pm Monday - Wednesday and aren't open at all on Sundays. I don't know what the deal is with that. I'd be much happier to support them if they had more consistent hours. read more

I was excited to have a good sandwich restaurant downtown. Went in with the family. Ordered a Gobbler sandwich without bacon. Mentioned to the clerk that I don't eat any pork. Ordered a salad...yep, it had salami on it. Took it back only to have the clerk be snotty about it. Sandwich was not memorable, a bit pricey at $11 plus the salad and a drink, so about $20. Really, the attitude killed it for me. Not interested in returning. Better sandwiches at 3 Peaks, less attitude, and they have fries. read more

This was hands down the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever eaten! And I order chicken salad anytime it is offered on a menu so I have eaten a lot, in a lot of places in a lot of different states. I had it with the pasta salad which paired perfect. They should just always serve the two together forever. Small place so not a lot of seating. The order board was confusing to me but the staff was friendly and helped me out.
