We recently visited Purgatory for the summer activities. Unfortunately, the Alpine Slide got the best of my 9 year old daughter as well as my dad. Lucky for us, Purg is pretty prepared with "Burn kits" for the exact reason (obviously not mentioned before riding the slide itself) but that helps EXCEPT the fact that it only included 1 bandaid. We ran to the market in hopes of more bandaids and children's Tylenol..it cost us $32 for those two things!!!! In a crisis the markup for basic items was insane! $22 just for Tylenol and $10 for bandaids. So disappointed to take advantage of our crisis. read more

Same as lots of others, it seems... totally crappy customer service. Went in for a sandwich and was told "we don't have that". Um, you don't have a veggie sandwich? To which I had to stand there and ask exactly what veggies they DID have and then ask if they could make me a sandwich out if those. They really didn't want to make me a sandwich. I did finally get said sandwich, and fortunately they only charged me half price. But I won't be going back. Really rude, snobby young guys behind the counter... the sandwiches aren't made fresh anymore. just prewrapped and thrown in a cooler for idk how long. wrap was soggy and lettuce wilted the wrap had to been sitting for hours. a particular male worker there was very rude. they don't take apple pay. there used to be seating areas for patrons but now they are no chairs or tables very unwelcoming deli. sucks to pay $13+ for a wrap of mostly tortilla and wilted soggy lettuce. wouldn't recommend eating here during your time at purg. read more

The service is great. We have been coming in morning and noon all week. The 2-3 girls working there are rockstars. Always friendly and helpful even when they are slammed. Great attitudes and good food. We a variety of sandwiches and they were all good. To the workers, a big thank you. read more

Lunch between runs with sister & brother-in-law. They opted for an Italian sub w/chips and a soda, which they demolished and said it was very good. I opted for the "pick 2" as a lighter option - 1/2 sandwich, small salad. Told the gentleman to make the salad as he would eat it, dressing included. Received salad with a tasty chopped veggie 'relish' (not sure what it was exactly), fresh lettuce mix, Parmesan cheese and ranch dressing. Decent size for small. Opted for the tuna salad sandwich. Was asked if I wanted cheese on it and toasted, to which I again asked the cook's opinion and went with the cheese. Checked out - $14.75 including Vitamin Water. Salad brought to the table & cook said he would return with my soup. I reminded him I was waiting on a tuna melt. Returned in 5 min w/tuna melt. Brought a whole sandwich instead of 1/2, so the other half ended up in the trash. (Too much food.) My sister took a taste & loved the sandwich; I would have preferred more mayo and relish. If you're a sandwich fiend, there are plenty of options at this deli. Personally, if I'm in the area again, I will try another restaurant. Unfortunately underwhelmed. read more

I asked for breakfast was quickly cut off because they're no longer serving it, and in the same breath she tells me she's gonna need a second condescendingly. I hadn't even ordered anything. They're just dancing behind the counter to awful billboard top 50 hits. Unfortunate the other places aren't open during the off-season, this place sucks. read more

Quick look rating: 5/5 Food & Quality, 4/5 Service At the base of the Durango ski area (other wise known as the Purgatory Ski resort) is the Village Market & Deli. It's in the middle of time shares in this fun little village. In the winter it is a ski resort and in the summer it is really a breath of fresh air! In the summers there are so many fun activities going on, it's just to good to be true! The village Market & Deli opens around day light and closes about sunset (7:30am-6pm). Fun little grocery store mixed with deli style store! You can dishes made for you there or have them pack them up to take back to your time share. All kinds of breakfast are possible from the simple bowl of cereal to eggs Benedict and smoothies. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito, how ever you want it fixed. I love the fresh attitude of "how ever you want it cooked!" The staff were very friendly and very helpful, wether they were cooking, waiting or even the brat / hot dog server in the court yard from their hotdog stand. On a good weather weekend they will bring out their cute little hotdog / brat stand into the court yard amongst all of the fun little shops! I highly recommend the beer brat for near 6$ with a little mustard, it is so tasty out in the open air! Try it with a cold beer and some chips out on one of the cute little outside tables! That combination, it's just pure fun! Love the beer brat cooked out in the open air plaza! Who ever takes care of all of the fun flowers out front, needs a raise! It brings such a nice touch of class! Great little place to bookmark if you're in the area! read more

Breakfast - I had the breakfast sandwich croissant with sausage, and it was pretty good... It didn't fill me for $7.50, small! They have Starbucks coffee here. Lunch - had the purgatory club with spicy mayo. It was very underwhelming... I could have made a better sandwich. I spent 2 nights at the Purgatory Resort while here, and food options are very limited. All food was underwhelming. read more

Don't come here for breakfast but do come for lunch. The lunch is significantly better than the breakfast, and also significantly better than the lunch at Purgy's. They have a really nice variety of sandwiches and salads for lunch, along with a few small convenience-store items (painkillers, oxygen bottles, detergent, toiletries, etc). The service is ski-mountain friendly: they'd rather be on the slopes, but they're helpful enough when you're ordering. read more

If you like coffee they have Starbucks brewed coffee that I heard was good (I don't drink coffee) keep your cup so you can save money on refills. They also have sun tan lotion and chapstick and a lot of other toiletries. Expect to pay a little more for everything, but hey you don't need to drive back in to town. read more

I came in very hungry for breakfast and ordered the diablo burrito with chorizo. It arrived and it appeared to be a good size. After eating it, I realized it should be called the potato burrito, as that is mostly all it had in it, barely any egg or chorizo. read more

Got a breakfast croissant sandwich with bacon. It was good, but the bacon was really hard. It was pretty expensive too, but can't complain at a ski resort. They have other snacks and drink which are over priced. There is also a nice little sitting area. read more

Had the WORST customer service experience ever... TWICE at this place. I get that you're a commodity because of your location with zero other options on the mountain, but come on. We ORDERED breakfast burritos but because of diet restrictions we couldn't have the tortillas, so we asked for just the insides, like a breakfast scramble. One of us wanted no meat and both of us wanted avocado. We GOT to-go containers of cold spinach with less than a serving spoon of scrambled eggs, BOTH had meat and NEITHER had avocado, the tomatoes were sliced on top and that's literally it. Best part? He rung us up for two large salads and tried ti charge us FORTY TWO DOLLARS because we asked for "exceptions" to their breakfast menu. Uh, what? The next morning I ordered three to-go coffee drinks for the 25 mile trip to a REAL breakfast place. Of COURSE they don't have chip holders and didn't care at ALL that I was one person with the hot drinks to carry IN MY CAR. Literally zero offer to help. ASTOUNDING. In this age of focus in customer service, this was shocking. You guys wouldn't last 3 days if there was ANY competition in a 10 mile radius. read more
