This is our go to mexican restaurant. Been about 2 dozen times and never had a bad, or even marginal, meal.

Don't waste your time or money! After attempting to visit your establishment numerous times since it's opening, we're tossing in the towel. The service is terrible, the margaritas are just as bad and the food is sub par as well. Tonight we entered your restaurant to find the hostess with her head buried in her phone which was hidden in the drawer at the counter. She barely greeted us and asked us how many kids menus we needed, which had she looked up to do her job, she would have seen we had one young child with us. It then took 10 mins to get chips/salsa and another 5 mins passed before the server decided to stop by and take drink orders. And it gets better...10 mins later after asking the server for our drinks, she finally brings them and takes our order which includes two terrible house margs (please lay off the cheap margarita mix and make a decent drink). Our food finally arrived and was so-so, then add the server never returning to check on us or refill waters and waiting once again for her to come by so we could ask for the check. Overall the entire experience took over an hour for 3 people to have what should have been a much faster and much better meal, which is the same experience we've had every time we've been there. As a Mexican-American who grew up eating and cooking delicious, authentic Mexican food, I tend to avoid Mexican restaurants altogether. I must say that 3 Margaritas is a pleasant & delicious surprise! This location welcomes you with a smile from the time you walk in the door. The owner was around the whole time making sure our large group had a pleasant experience. Our server: Ricardo "Ricki" was funny and attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. Nothing gets me upset when I order take out from a restaurant than to get home and find out your order is not what you wanted. I actually went into the restaurant and placed my order with the very friendly staff, we reviewed the order and she told me to come back in 10 minutes. Food is mediocre..portions are not typical for a mexican restaurat. Literally left still hungry.. Deluxe burrito was half the size of other mexican restaurants where I've eaten. The "original" margarita was a joke, the glass that serve it in is like a miniature margarita glass...loks like something I'd do shots out of..and there was so much ice in it itwas watered down. My husband also had the frozen margarita and it tasted like nothing but strawberry mix. He wondered if there was tequila in it at all. The service however was pleasent. Probably won't go back though. I left my Credit Card there on Mother's Day after paying. Called the next day and was put on hold for 12 minutes but was on my commute home so I had time. Finally the bar tender picked up and said she would find the manager. He took my name and was acting weird and said rather quickly that there was no CC with that name. So I decided to stop by in person. When I went to the host station and asked if they had my CC she took out a stack of cards and then pulled my card from the top of another stack. Ordered here for the first time during the virus pandemic, thought I would support the local businesses in melt neighborhood. I ordered the burrito Colorado, the first two bites were delicious, however that was the only meat I got, literally two bites. Then the rest of the burrito was pure rice and beans. Decided to try this resteraunt based on the reviews and it's close proximity to my home. It was awful! Went on Wednesday at 12:05. We didn't receive our meal until 12:55. There was no massive lunch crowd. So, I was patient in hope the food would be worth the wait....NOT~ The queso was watery and had chopped green onions. No tomatoes or jalapenos...no flavor. I ordered the Sopes Revolucion...thinking it would be similar to puffy tacos or gorditas....NOT~ Very thick corn masa cakes that were extremely overcooked...like hard as rocks. Had one steak, one chicken. Nothing had flavor....nothing!!!! I couldn't tell from one bite to the next what I was even eating it was so tasteless. Rice had no flavor. Beans had no flavor. I considered sending it all back and requesting a refund, but decided to just leave and vow never to return. Yes, dramatic BUT, that bad! Nice ambiance -- colorful and festive. While overpriced, if you come for lunch, the prices are reasonable. One reason their food is more costly than Colfax, is that they offer specialty steak and chicken dishes that those restaurants don't offer. They are also located in an area of Aurora that doesn't have many choices for Mexican food. Their food is tasty. Their green chile was very flavorful with a little kick but not so overpowering that it took away from the meal. Their shredded chicken was moist and well seasoned. The refried beans were not too thick but smooth. Their rice was moist and held its own on the dish. The crispy relleno had a perfect amount of cheese and was cooked all the way through. I love the food, HOWEVER, the last 4 times I've been the service has left MUCH to be desired. I work literally next door and the idea that I'd be able to run across the parking lot for great food made me very happy. Last night I called in my order at 7:45 pm and I made the lady on the phone aware that I'd be there at 8:45pm, one hour, to pick it up. I ordered the steak nachos with no beans. I walked from my job to the restaurant and I arrived at 8:50pm. My order wasn't ready, nor do I believe it had even been started, being that I had to wait 15 minutes. It was especially unfortunate, because my order had beans on it and being that I'd already waited 15 minutes, I didn't have time to go back to have my order corrected. I was not please at all. The visit before that I came with my best friend. He and I dined in. He and I were disgusted by our waiter. I guess the food we ordered was more than our waiter thought I could afford because he kept insisting that we get something that was the regular meat instead of those with an up charge. 3 times I had to ask him, which in my opinion is 2 to many. The visit before that, was comical at best. My boyfriend and I having a date night. I am a tall black woman. The mother of a beautiful 6 year old boy. So that fact that one of your staff referred to me as sinõr the entire time,  EVEN AFTER MY BOYFRIEND CORRECTED HIM, was UNACCEPTABLE. All that said, me nor my family will be returning. The wait staff was swamped, so much so, that we had empty beverage glasses for 10 minutes before we could get our waiter's attention, we asked for another bowl of salsa and it was forgotten. The food is classic and pretty legit here. A lot for a decent price. The salsa is just okay, but the tomatillo​ salsa is great. Chips could be better. The staff is always friendly. So glad they came out this way. Authentic, but thought through for everyone. A good middle ground between On The Border and Ajua (sp?) which is really authentic. The location right off Smokey Hill is a winner. The place is new, so feels good. its been packed. The food has been absolutely great. We love the arroz con pollo. But everything is great so far. The salsa is spicy. Like. Service great - Everyone has been really friendly. Food good - seems consistent as they several locations. Portions generous - always full, but then again i eat more chips than can be healthy. Quality great - I really think the quality is good and the taste is on point. This is an over priced Mexican restaurant. The food is similar to what you'd find on Colfax or North Aurora...just double the price. Once you walk into the restaurant it's cute and has a nice fountain for ambience. Lots of margarita choices to choose from...but the food was average. Horrible service towards black people, waitress veronica piss poor attitude. Very short because she is being asked specifics about the menu. Out of no where she stopped waiting on my party and the bartender took over. I had a total of four people wait on me largely due to them acting as if the place was busting at the seems with patrons. We eat here at least once a month! They have one amazing cook and one not so good. We try to come in at the same time on hopes we have the cook working who makes the food taste amazing!!! I always know because the salsa is thinner and has onions in it. The other cook makes the salsa thicker and it leaves an aftertaste. I was super happy to see a new Mexican place on this side of town. We went in Sat at 1:30, not busy. It took forever for the server to come say hello, when he finally did he was rude, short and not friendly. We gave him our drink order, ask fora chip & salsa. It took 20 mins to get our chips. The food was average, over priced, over priced for what you get. We will NOT be going back!! Sad was hoping for a great mexican place close to home :-((( read more

Solid, friendly, and reliable Mexican food. It's all about The Original Margarita (tequila, Cointreau, lime) is fantastic. Sweet and sour, agave nectar, etc are all margarita contaminants! There are only 3 ingredients in a real margarita. They understand this here. It's also pretty big for the price, with several refills in the table-side shaker. Manager is very warm always.
